Seventeen

I yawned lazily as I woke up from a peaceful sleep. I was still in my pajamas and sleeveless top and was basking in the coldness of the room.

Ah! The perks of being rich! Such a lucky jerk!

Four weeks had passed and everything became routinary between us.

I couldn't help but smile as I remember his mischievous charms when he tried to kiss me the last time he first checked my eye after the surgery.

God! That man!

I hugged the blanket and pinched my cheeks.

Apart from the sneaky and playful side of him, I learned that he is a man so nurturing and honest.

I get to know that side of him for the past twenty one days. He would come home with either food or something sweet to eat for the rest of the day. He would always ask me how I am even though he is in the clinic.

We became good friends and were so comfortable with each other.

He's not hard to like. And I'm afraid I would fall harder.

My vision is also becoming better and I'm grateful for that.

Aside from that, the restaurant launched its social media site and the weekend special treats.

They got my permission when I started food vlogging. I put my dessert ideas into good use and Matrix told me to start my Youtube channel and upload it on.

I gave it a thought and launched my Youtube Channel with the title WINning Recipes.

My first video recipe on Miguelitos which is a Spanish cream-filled pastry reached over a hundred thousand views and more than a hundred comments.

And, just yesterday, I have already five hundred subscribers.

When the chef and crew of the restaurant saw my vlog, Chef Barry immediately contacted me and asked if they can consult with me to have my recipes be launched as their specials every weekend.

They gave me a special contract for a year and I was more than delighted for it.

I won't be in the restaurant everyday  and I get the luxury of time for my own.

Instead of the normal Monday to Friday schedule, I work on Saturdays and Sundays.

I was still in my introspection mode when I felt Matrix' strong and comforting arms hugging me.

"Hey, hindi ka pa nagugutom?" He whispered, his breath on my neck.

I shut my eyes close and let him hug me.

Damn! Why am I so marupok?

"Hindi pa." I said and held his hands.

"Let's sleep some more." He said and rested his chin on my bare shoulders.

Wag kayong mag-isip ng kung ano! Sya ang gumapang sa akin! Atsaka, may damit kami!

We didn't realize we doze off longer than expected when we hear our stomachs crumbled.

I open my eyes at the same time he did.

I giggled and he just stared at me.

He bent down and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Tara na, kain na tayo?" Matrix asked. I nodded. "I'll make us heavy brunch. It's eleven already."

"Okay." I yawned and stretched my arms when he stood up and went to our kitchen.
