Five
We ended up gaping at each other outside the restaurant.
I hastily adjusted my eyeglasses and looked at him quizically.
"Bakit ka nandito! Sinusundan mo ba ako!" I exclaimed and glared at him.
"Excuse me?" He asked and looked back at me with bored eyes. "Look, Miss, I do not know you. So let me pass."
He said and started walking towards our entrance door.
"Hep! Hep! Hep!" I yelled and stretched my arms attempting to block his way. "Anong let me pass ka dyan? Hindi mo ba nakikita? Closed na oh! Malabo na ba mga mata mo? Baka need mo na magpasalamin? Ang laki-laki ng signage namen oh. C-L-O-S-E-D, CLOSED. Gets mo, kuya?"
He dismissed my arms by turning it down but I was strong enough to hold my ground.
"Ano ba! Bakit ba ang kulit-kulit mo?" I asked stomping my feet in annoyance.
"Look, Miss. I do not know you. And am I your brother? Why call me kuya? We are not even related, for Pete's sake!" He shot back and ignored me, standing in front of him.
I was about to blow a remark to irritate him more but was distracted when Chef Barry found us in front of the restaurant.
"Onyx! Long time, no see, man!" Chef Barry exclaimed and gave him a brotherly hug when he opened our front door.
I felt my jaw hung open with the scene in front of me. I blinked in disbelief.
"Looks like na-meet mo na ang assistant pastry chef namen? Clari is a diligent, young lady. I hope magkasundo kayo." Chef Barry said and gave me a smile.
I instantly blushed and let my hands dropped to my sides.
"Oh. Is she?" Onyx, the annoying guy, smirked at me. "Beat me to it, then."
I raised an eyebrow at him. Mukhang chinachallenge ako nito ha.
"This is Onyx, Clari. He's the grandson of our CEO, Mr. Kalvin De Silva." Chef Barry said. "Una muna kame sa loob. And it's getting late, hindi ka pa uuwi? Delikado na sa daan, iha." He asked.
"Pauwi na din po. Nagpahangin lang saglit. Salamat Chef Barry. Punta na po ako sa locker room. " I said and left them at the lobby. Inirapan ko pa si Onyx bago umalis.
Grandson of CEO, your face!
Nako, Clari! Nasa trabaho ka pa! Wag ka magpaka-unprofessional!
Baka malintikan pa at masisante ako!
I kept on mumbling my rants after I retrieved my bag from my locker and changed my clothes as I waited for the ride home.
Hay. Kapagod ang pangatlong araw ko.
Pasasaan ba at masasanay na din ako sa ganito.
Kalma self. Fighting!
