Twenty Eight

I was just busy updating my story when my hands scrolled at one of the trending news today.

It's as if history is repeating itself.

With Reagan still not around, my suspicions about him having another woman is getting into my nerves.

I was even more distracted when I heard Clarinet's voice.

I immediately went out my unit and saw Maddie at the same time.

We rushed into Clarinet's unit and saw her sobbing.

Madonna was caressing Clari's back while I calmed myself first.

With our friend's current state, I cannot afford to be weeping too.

My instincts told me to calm my friend down.

I was even more worried when I saw blood gushing out her legs.

"Oh shit! Fuck! You're bleeding, besh! Calm down!!" I yelled and frantically pulled out my phone.
"Hello! 911? Emergency! My friend is about to give birth and you're asking me what happened?!!! Jot the address down!"

Our neighbors probably heard us as two men lifted Clari up and the next thing we know was we were with Clari as we escorter her with the nurses into the delivery room as she started screaming at the top of her lungs.

It took Clari almost four hours before she woke up.

Frenny!" "Besh!!" Came my and Madonna's voices.

"Where are my twins?" Clari asked in a hoarse voice.

"What twins? You gave birth to triplets!!" I exclaimed and massaged her arms.

"They are placed in an incubator at the nursery room. They are premature. You are due to gove birth in the next two months but because of your jerk of a fiance, you gave birth ahead of time!" Madonna's voice speak volumes of anger and I saw Clari shied away from her.

"We followed the names of the babies as you requested. But since, you were passed out for almost a day, we took the honor to name one of the triplets." I grinned at her and she  looked at Madonna as she nodded in approval.

"You have two boys and one girl. Sharp shooter ang De Silva ha!" Madonna added and wiggled her eyebrows.

"Can you take me to the nursery room?" Clari asked us just in time the nurse arrived. "Nurse, pwede ko po ba makita mga anak ko?"

"Of course, mommy! I will just check your vitals. Then I will bring a wheelchair here." She smiled and did her routines on me. "So your friends can take you to the NICU."

Clari thanked her and after fifteen minutes, Madonna was pushing her to the NICU.

As soon as we get there, happy and fresh tears filled up Clari's eyes. And so was ours too.

The babies were too cute.

If we were delighted seeing these cute bunch, I bet Clari was more than overjoyed with these babies in front of her.

Madonna and I couldn't help but to keep gushing beside Clarie when we saw her babies.

"Oh, what beautiful names! We named him Trevor Joseph!" I exclaimed proudly and Madonna had to slap me to keep quiet.

"Thank you girls. I couldn't make it without you two." Clari said suddenly and reached for our hands.

"No worries! We are squad goals, right!" Madonna said and winked at her.

"But girl, honestly, I think you need professional help. You have gone thru so much already. Its all building up inside you." I honestly said to her and turned to face her to show her that I am serious.

Madonna nodded. "It's not like we don't want to help but it's better to seek professional help."

Clari stayed silent for a moment then said. "I'll think about it. Thanks, girls."

"Shall we go back to your room?" I asked.

She nodded and this time, it was my turn to push her wheelchair towards our room.

Clari kept quiet all throughout while me and Madonna talk about other things.

--

For a couple of weeks, Maddie and I took turns in running our business.

We just launched our business a couple of months ago and we only have a two to four persons who take turns in helping us.

Luckily, there were customers who became regulars in our shop.

Our market boosted when Clari put it into her Youtube Channel before she gave birth.

It also has been three months since Reagan left for a business trip.

And up until now, I haven't heard from him.

I am starting to get pissed off, actually.

What got me weirded out was when I received a text message from Matrix De Silva.

Clarinet's fiance.

Errr. Ex?

He's the reason why Clarinet gave birth prematurely.

She was totally stressed out with him.

Being her friend, I am on her side.

But come to think of it, we never heard of Matrix' side.

It would be best to hear both sides of the story and let not our biases rule us out.

I agreed to meet him this weekend.

He replied his thanks and I forgot to ask Maddie about it if she received the same message.

I was only notified about it when she sent me a message thru messenger.

True enough, we both agreed to hear his side on Friday instead since I have MBA class on Saturday.

He was kind enough to agree with my sudden change of schedule.

Friday came and here we are at a milk tea shop looking at Matrix waiting for his explanation.

"First off, thank you for meeting me today despite your schedules. I know you have business to run and you have classes tomorrow, but this won't take long." Matrix began and we nodded in approval.

We let him talk without raising our opinions.

In the end, he was feeling remorseful of what he had done to Clari and asked for our help.

He wanted to propose to her and build a family with her.

Me and Maddie exchanged glances with each other.

Obviously, he still has no idea that he already has triplets.

All he know was he was having twins.

It wasn't our story to tell so we just agreed to help.

But our mouths will remain zipped.

We bid our goodbyes and hoped for our friend's happy ever after.

They both deserve another chance, right?
