Days passed and I did not hear from Reagan again.

I don't know if he's still serious about me or us.

I admit, I miss having him around.

My friends even noticed how he was missing in action for the past two weeks.

"What's up, best? What's up with you and your boyfriend? Are you sure he doesn't have other woman clinging to him as of now?" Louisse said that added to my doubts.

"Such a witch! Don't add salt to the wound! Shai will only be suspicious of her boyfriend!!" Trina commented and nudged their friend's arm.

I shook my head.
"Maybe he's just busy. He has been absent for 2 weeks already." I said truthfully.

I don't know who I am trying to convince. Myself or them.

"Stop it girls! We have a deadline to meet!!" Ryzza Tentoco, our classmate who has also become our friend, remarked which made us focus our attention back to our tasks at hand.

I shot Ryzza a grateful look and she winked at me.

The two girls immediately diverted their attention to our books and started highlighting important notes.

As usual, we were spending time on our favorite spot inside the library, the farthest corner beneath the aircon.

"Hey girls, do you want one?" Trina hissed and showed us her Pringles inside her backpack.

I stifled a laugh and Ryzza shook her head.

"You're such a glutton! Give me some!" Louisse hissed back and stretched her free arm across Trina to get some.

We were munching on our pringles when I noticed how Therese Giovan entered the library with her minions.

They sat around two to three tables from us and my girls fell silent for no apparent reason.

"What? What's with the look?" I asked curiously.

The three girls were exchanging knowing glance while I remain clueless.

"Uh.. Let's go? I think we're done here?" Louisse asked showing her notes to us.

"Wow! Reese! Really? You and Rei Jimenez are engaged?!" One of Therese's minions exclaimed.

The assistant librarian who was passing by silenced her automatically.

But, she resumed her questions again once the A.L. was out of earshot.

My eyebrows twitched.

Rei? My Rei Jimenez??

The Reagan Jimenez who was courting me for around two months already??

Really??

For real?

I saw how Therese's expression went dreamy when her minions continued expressing their envious looks and asking stupid questions.

"Best! Shai!" Ryzza distracted my thoughts and I turned to face her.

"Uh, yes? What is it again" I asked her.

"I said, let's go. We're done here. It's lunch time. I am starving." Ryzza said and the girls started fixing their things.

I adjusted my eyeglasses and nodded and did the same thing.

As we were standing up, one of Therese's minions said something that made me almost lose my cool.

"The two of you looks good together than that Suarez. She's just feeling beautiful. Rei looks pathetic being stuck with her!!"

I turned my head and searched for her face.

Her unfazed eyes met mine and I sae her gulped as if she was looking at a ghost.

I felt one of my friends touched my arm as if to stop me from approaching them but all I ever did was gave the girl my evil glare.

What we did not expect was when Ryzza stepped forward to defend me.

She casually walked to the minions table and leveled with her eyes.

The girl did not look scared. She was baffled when Ryzza said her piece.

"The next time you whisper about other people, make sure they are not around. Piece of advice my dear, library is not a place for your talkative shits. Study. Don't be too talkative. Use your brain for a while before making rumors and spreading gossips." Ryzza hissed which makes us all stunned at her.

She stood up straight and clutched the strap of her backpack.

She gave one last look at Therese and her three stooges, ay mali, minions pala, before returning to us.

"Let's go, besties." Ryzza said and led us outside for lunch.

Once outside the library, we started clapping at her.

"That was rad, girl!" Louisse exclaimed. She was hugging her books and hopped as we walk to the cafeteria.

"Ryzza, the amazona!" Trina added and we laughed.

"Wow! Thanks for coming to my defense, Ryz! You shouldn't have done that. But thank you!" I gushed and hugged her despite of the book on my grasp.

"I hate it when someone gets bullied. That is so rude! You're not even doing anything wrong to them yet they will talk about you? That's just---" Ryzza ranted and sighed.

"Oop! Op! Op! Stop! Relax! Calm down!" I stopped her. "It's fine. I'm fine. Relax! Inhale! Exhale!"

Trina and Louisse laughed at us.
"That is just your stomach talking! Let's go! I'm craving for cream dory!"
