I stared at the house in front of me and took deep breaths before stepping inside. I was hoping to come with Ate Sam but I knew she already has a tough week ahead at the hospital. Tagging her along where she isn't needed won't do her good.

As soon as my feet reached our living room, I saw how Dad's eyes met mine with three men sitting across him, all dressed up like the men in black without those shades. I couldn't help but raised an eyebrow at what I saw.

Mom came in from the dining room with a tray of coffee in her hand. I immediately approached her and took it from her and placed it on top of the center table.

"Thanks, Ellie." Mom said and sat on the love seat across Dad. She patted the empty space beside her for me to sit and I obliged.

"Anong meron, Mom?" I asked bewildered hoping against hope that it isn't what I was thinking. She caressed my hand and gestured for Dad to finally talk. "Dad?" I turned to face him across our seat.

"Meet Beau." The guy nearest Mom with a tousled black hair and almond shaped blue eyes who looks like Chris Evans, Asian version, gave me a small smile as Dad began introducing him. "Hayes." The guy between Beau and another man in black with upturned gray eyes giving off that Jai Stephen Courtney vibe acknowledged me with a nod. "And this young lad beside me is Jacques." The guy with amazing green eyes who looked a lot like Jesse McCartney smiled widely at me.

My jaw almost dropped when my heart beats faster than I expected with such a single eye contact. It didn't took me long enough to realize that I have been swooning over him when I missed out Dad's words.

"— So, who would you want to be your personal bodyguard?" Dad asked underneath his scrutinizing eyes.

"Huh?" I blinked and tore my eyes away from the three gorgeous men inside our house. "B-bodyguard? Huh?"

Mom chuckled beside me and whispered in my ear, "sino sa kanila ang gusto mong kasama? You can choose who you want!"

I blushed and shook my head. Without second thoughts, I spoke my heart out, "I don't need a bodyguard, Dad. I am barely seen with you in public ev—" I cut my own words when I recalled the incident prior our house burning down. I closed my eyes and heaved a deep breath before opening my eyes, saying,  "Fine. I am only taking one. I'll choose Beau."

Our eyes met and I knew I have made the right decision. I looked away and saw Dad smiling approvingly at me.

"You heard her, Beau." Dad finally said after having said those words. "Jacques, you will be with my eldest daughter, Samantha while Hayes will be barely visible around Elle. I only have two wonderful daughters. I am entrusting them to you three. I am still looking for one bodyguard for Sam but I knew that she'll hate me for it. However, let me know if you know anyone who can look after her."

The three men nodded and I watched in amusement as Beau brought the coffee to his lips. He gently laid it back to the saucer and wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb.

I observed how Hayes casually straightened his black suit as he maintained a serious expression on his face. Jacques, on the other hand, with his jolly expression, I can easily tell that he is excited to do his job as soon as he can.

When the three men were done talking with Dad as he laid out his instructions with them in front of me and Mom, they bowed their heads at him and turned to us. As expected, they also did the same with Mom. But apparently, they just shook their hands with me which made me wonder why I have that kind of greeting.

"We'll get going and start our duty tomorrow, Mr. Tiongco." Hayes said and left us three alone, perplexed and amused.

"So, what do you think of the men, Ellie?" Dad said as I sat down to the long couch where they left.

"I trust your judgment, Dad." I said. "I know you always want the best for Ate Sam and me."

"Thank you, anak." He smiled and kissed me on my cheek as he sat beside me.

"Tara. Maghapunan ka na dito, Ellie." Mom exclaimed and we followed her to the dining room.
