Forty One

Outro: Tear - BTS

Note: This is slightly unedited because I have homework to do while writing this, but I'll fix it soon :)

"This is not Jimin."

Felix flips his head around, furrowing his eyebrows to his leader in confusion to his sudden statement, but Yeosang was stone cold serious as he stares at the computer screen. Even if the evidence is playing right before his eyes, denial sounds like the perfect way to go rather than to believe what he's actually seeing.

No way in hell is this true.

This has to be some sick high school play or something!

Or something that just to happened to look like him.

It's not Jimin.

Not..... His Jimin.

Jimin wouldn't behave like this.

Suddenly Felix pauses the tape right when the killer with the M4 released the grenades at the lobby, zooming into his face and typing things on his keyboard to clear up the image.

Fuck..... No....

Slowly Felix looks at Yeosang, lips twitching into a side frown, "Not to be that guy but... He kinda looks like Jewel."

The nickname Jimin has gained around here or to what everyone refers to him by, Jewel.

Don't ask, even Yeosang doesn't know where that name came from.

The more Yeosang stares at the image and then glances to the other tapes playing at the other computer screen, the more the brutal reality began to slowly crumble beneath his eyes. He observes those brutal moves with the gun and knives, the acrobatics of his body doing flips and bending in ways Yeosang has seen when they would train- Everything about this screams Jimin.

And when it got to the car explosion, a street camera caught him jumping out of the passenger door only a second before the explosion, explaining how he survived that.

Jimin.... Did that...

He escaped his cell by using his charms of seducing against that goon, just to his advantage.

Lust.

Got himself out with confidence until he found the weaponry room.

Pride.

Took a shit ton of weapons, way too much than he needed with hungry hands before facing his fight.

Gluttony.

He exited that room with that same pride before coming upon the men to the end of the hallway, not wasting time in killing them the second they called out to him; Not caring who it was or giving the time to think if they were going to kill him.

Sloth.

When he entered the hallway, where he did the flip and used his gun along with the knives, it began to show more and more his loss of control. He grew angrier in a way, seeing them together against a single man alone.

Envy.

By the time he finished them off, taking in that taste of high with the kill, Jimin lost complete control. All he wanted to see was blood and death, that much was obvious by the reckless and aggressive killing tactics when reinforcements swarmed into the hallway, him using them as shields and taking them down one by one. Trailing it all the way to the lounge, wanting to see nothing by the stench of death as he exploded the building and everyone inside the pieces.

Greed.

Lastly when he was taken away, seeing Yeosang before the van doors closed and it took off. It was obvious by then he was frustrated and angry by how his ticket to freed was backlashed brutally. He fought so hard to only get taken again was his last straw, so with the grenades he had left, he exploded the vehicle, just like his sanity.

Wrath.

That night, Jimin was no longer the Prince of Sins anymore.

As he said, he's the king now; Using his skills, his desires, to his own advantage into a ball mix of energy that was as though his sanity corrupted into pieces to finally explode for survival.

His own survival.

Taemin was right..... If Jimin manages to break through this blockage, even when Yeosang is in danger without a doubt Jimin is able to handle himself to save his ass.

Alone.

Yeosang knew better than to doubt Jimin, even the tiny shit himself has warned him to never underestimate him, but he never fucking expected this.

Not from Jimin.

No wonder Jimin's bind is blocking this; His survival instincts took over in a desperation resolution to escape, and it would definitely be too much for the mind to cope all at once because he's not like this.

Him remembering how he committed mass murder would not only crush his sense of identity, but the guilt of killing in the first place will haunt him like a ghost. He was just a regular guy, with a sex addict problem, but getting grades and being an amazing students. This was not part of his plan, and it's something he didn't want for himself either.

The more Yeosang stares at the tapes, the more angrier he got until finally he yanked out his gun and aims to the camera connected to the computer before shooting it multiple times.

This is selfish, very seflish.

But Yeosang refuses to let Jimin remember this now.

And he wants to make sure Jimin has no way of finding it out like this, not through a fucking recording. If he does than it could cause a worse emotional blockage in his memories or he could forget farther more than just that.

That happened to Jeongguk once after a very horrible kidnap that Taehyung saved him from, it's not about to fucking happen to Jimin.

If he remembers, it'll be on his own when he's ready.

"Yeosang!" Felix shrieks, shooting up to his feet to stare in horror to the now completely gone camera, "What the fuck! It took me hours to fix this-"

Yeosang yanks Felix by the collar, forcing him close to his face with murderous dark eyes keeping a firm glare to Felix's off guard gaze. Maybe a sprinkle of fear did flash his eyes but he knew his leader would never hurt him, but he most definitely is going to make a statement.

"You will never mention this to Jimin," Yeosang growls low and slowly, making Felix's facial features fall slowly, "No one will tell of him what we saw unless we want him to go insane mode again, got it?"

There's no questioning to this or putting an opinion, Felix only nodded without a word to his leader to be instantly let go. Yeosang felt himself grow more relentless as he glances to the now blank computer screen, snarling his teeth before storming out of the computer room. His body is fuming, thinking of Jimin's psychotic laughter and skips of joy as he paraded around that entire fucking building, taking out all of the goons alone without any back up.

No, Yeosang isn't pissed that Jimin survived.

He's pissed that it got to this level now.

That Jimin ended up becoming this way because of him being around Yeosang and this fucked up world. It could get into anyone's head if they aren't prepared well enough, and being suddenly struck with death and on the run while also being kidnapped to nearly be raped and drugged is traumatizing to anyone!

One moment, he was cuddling up to Joshua on the couch and only worrying about if he was going to get a call from a fucker he didn't give a shit about to give them a blow job. Now he has to worry about breathing another damn day because of Yeosang.

He snapped because he finally couldn't take it anymore, and Yeosang now worries that if he remembers it all at once, he would be too unstable to control.

Those brutal thoughts didn't leave Yeosang's head, if anything it's pissing him off even more as he kept thinking about it. By muscle memory he found himself in the training room and without even thinking twice, his fist soars through the air and slams against the stupid punching bag, screeching in aggravation.

This is a mess.

This is a big fucking mess and he doesn't even know how to handle it anymore.

He doesn't want to ruin Jimin anymore than he is already. He doesn't want to lose the guy he met at that stupid club in his birthday, who was a dick yes, but he just..... He can't fall for that darkness.

Not like how everyone here has went through here before this became a normal routine for them.

Fuck, why is this so complicated?

"You know, overthinking it won't get you anywhere."

The sound of that familiar voice made Yeosang perk his head up, seeing his brother standing by the doorframe with arms crossed. When they made eye contact, he took it upon himself to walk up to Yeosang and grimaces to his bruised hand, "Hurting yourself won't exactly erase the fact that Jewel could be borderline psychotic."

Yeosang evident rolls his eyes and yanks his hand away, turning his back against the punching bag and slowly slides down to sit on the ground, resting his arms against his knees with a deep frown, "Jimin isn't this..... I don't want him to get sucked into it either way."

All this time Yeosang has tried so hard to protect him and Joshua, and that only lead to Jimin taking it all in and getting fucked.

No matter how hard he tries, someone always gets hurt or killed.

He was almost late this time, what if the next he won't be so lucky?

Too much pressure, just too much.

Hwanwoong looks at his brother being consumed by his stress, not use to seeing him be like this because Yeosang is always so composed or negligent to showing emotions at all. In some way, he's grateful for Jimin because it has made his brother start to accept that he isn't invincible and can't always predict the future. On the other hand, it has made Yeosang weak.

He feels too much and majority of it is guilt.

That's something that could be taken advantage of if it's manipulated well, and it's something Hwanwoong fears for his brother in the future.

So slowly Hwanwoong gets to his knees, being at eye level with his brother and takes on of his hands, gripping it tightly that made Yeosang fixates his eyes to his stern gaze.

"Let that be a choice Jimin decides to take, it's not your responsibility," He says firmly, "Yeosang, you're not going through this alone anymore. Everyone here will oblige to any order you give, but they need their leader. You have to be strong, not only for yourself or us, but for Jimin too. He's going to need you and if he sees you weak, he's going to be weak. He is strong, and he needs someone to be equally as strong to keep him prepared for the worse."

Of course Yeosang understand his words, he really does, but he just.... He just feels so helpless right now.

And he wasn't afraid to word it out to him, "I feel like I'm alone in this. I don't want everyone to look after him just because I say so, but because they understand what he means to me-"

He cuts himself off, growing more distressed by the words that were seconds away from escaping his lips.

What does he truly mean to him?

Yeosang doesn't know.... But he wants his crew to feel equally the need to care for him as he has, but in their own way. To gain a connection so Yeosang knows that if he closes his eyes, they can protect him and not because he ordered it, but because they want to.

It's too complicated to understand, fuck- Yeosang doesn't even know what he wants anymore!

Hwanwoong squeezes his brother's hand, using his other hand to grab the back of his neck so Yeosang is forced to look into his eyes, not letting him fall into this spiral of distress alone.

"You... Are my brother Yeosang," Hwanwoong bleeds out through his lips, hoping to pin that in his head, "Phoenix is family. We are family. Jimin will have time to connect with each of us, but just know we will protect him with our lives. Our priority now is you, and we want our leader to be okay. You are not alone, you hear me? I will never let you deal with this alone."

Once upon a time, Yeosang was asked by his tutor when he was in his early teen years what was a moment in his life that he cherishes in his heart.

He had many moments to think of really; When Jeongguk rescued him from getting run over by a car when he was seven while he was running away from an orphanage, or when he got his first pet and names him Jeonsang. Truth is, there was many to pick since he has many good memories with his father.

But one memory he will always cherish, no matter how old he gets.

And it's when Taehyung and Hwanwoong came into the picture.

Taehyung was the parents figure he always wanted, and not only because he made Jeongguk very happy after his assassination attempts, but because he treated Yeosang as though he was his own son too. The two gained an instant emotional bond together, and it's something Yeosang has appreciated about him.

And then meeting his new brother, Hwanwoong. Yeosang was an only child and something Jeongguk was too busy to play with him, but when Hwanwoong came in than he wasn't so alone anymore. They were raised like twins, always dressing alike or styling their hair the same way. They would play with Jeonsang and would take care of one another whenever they would get hurt. Maybe got into plenty of fights when someone would try to hurt them, probably killed a few too.

They made a pact that they would always look out for one another and to be there no matter how hard things get. To be each other's heroes to their own stories.

Staring at Hwanwoong now, hearing him say those comforting words to Yeosang's distressed state, he knew and truly believed in Hwanwoong's words.

He always does.

And that's what made Yeosang twitch a smile and squeeze his hand back tight, being fueled by their brotherly bond to get through the toughest obstacles together.

Just as they did as kids.

A/N:

I'm devastated.

Writing about Hwanwoong and Yeosang has weakened my senstive heart. They have such a powerful and beautiful bond, and I can't wait to show more of it as the chapters continue on.

Well we're going to see a lot more of Jimin's recovery process and that's when we are going to see some interactions properly.

I'm debating if they should head back to the penthouse soon or stay at the warehouse, hm.....

I can't decide, do you guys want to see more of the Phoenix crew or just sole focus on Jisang?

I mean, there will be Jisang moments here but hmm.... This just got complicated... Any suggestions?

I PURPLE YOU!! <33
