Chapter 27: Easter 2015 and other stories

"Happy Easter!" My sister Aryll said as she smacked me with a pillow.

I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. "I'm not getting up."

"Oh, yes you are."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are."

"I'm not going to keep arguing," I muttered.

"Fine," Aryll sighed as she left.

My eyelids began to close. Yawning, I removed the covers from my head and drifted to a peaceful sleep...

That didn't last long. Aryll had left the room for an extended period of time. I was asleep when she came back, and in one swift move, she grabbed the back of my shirt and dropped several ice cubes down my back.

"Gah!" I screamed as I jumped out of my bed. I frantically clawed at my back in an attempt to get the stupid ice out of my shirt while Aryll began to laugh hysterically.

"That's not funny," I growled as I tossed the ice in the bathroom sink. Aryll shrugged. Sighing, I grabbed my purple shirt and slipped it on while I was in the bathroom. Exiting the bathroom, I slammed the door behind me and followed my pesky sister to the dining room.

On the dining room table, there were two presents. One had green wrapping paper with a gold ribbon. The other was blue with gold ribbon. As we got closer, we saw that the green present read, "To Link." The blue had, "To Aryll."

"Should we open these?" Aryll asked.

"No."

Aryll ignored me and handed me the green gift. "I can't wait to see what's in here!"

"I don't."

"Open yours."

"Nope."

"Link..."

I shook my head. "I don't want to open this gift. Mainly because Christmas was a few months ago and it isn't my birthday yet."

"Happy Birthday." My sister grinned.

"Just shut up."

"Vaati," Aryll whined. "Link told me to shut up."

"Just ignore him," Vaati responded from the hallway.

Aryll grabbed her present. "Ready?"

I sighed. "Sure."

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

"GO!" We both shouted as we tore the presents apart.

Splat!

Smack!

Aryll's present had contained a pie that was launched at her face. I couldn't tell what the pie looked like, as I got smacked by a hand from my present.

"Ow!" I rubbed my face in anger. "Who did this?"

"Haha," Shadow laughed as he materialized from the shadows. "April Fools!"

"That was three days ago," Vaati snapped as he helped Aryll get the pie off her face.

"Oh. Sorry."

Vaati looked to me. "Any Easter plans?"

"Nope."

"Good. Then get ready for tomorrow."

"Why?"

"Seems that you'll be visited by Zelda, Lana, and Cia."

I paled. "Cia's coming?"

"Who's Cia?" Aryll asked.

"Former sorceress. She's dead. Or rather, she was dead."

"How did she come back?" Shadow asked. "And is she here to kill/kidnap Link?"

"No, as I was told that Lana was coming with her."

"Who told you?" I asked.

"Alicia."

"Ah."

Shadow blinked. "Is it me, or has Alicia been a bit.. Crazy, lately?"

"Why? She seemed fine when she spoke to me this morning," Vaati replied.

Shadow shrugged. "Oh... Nothing really."

Aryll dashed off suddenly. Shadow looked to me. "Is she alright?"

"Seems someone forgot to see if the Easter Bunny hid eggs."

"Ah."

"Why, Good morning!" Ghirahim declared loudly as he hopped into the room.

"GAH!" Shadow and I screamed. Vaati face-palmed. "Are you trying to embarrass me, brother?" The wind demon snapped.

Ghirahim tilted his head. "No. Why?"

"YOU'RE WEARING A FREAKING PINK BUNNY SUIT!"

"I bought this. You like?"

"NO!" Vaati screamed. He grabbed Ghirahim and dragged him away, presumably to smack him. Shadow turned to me. "Is Ghirahim the Easter Bunny?"

"I would die if he was."

Shadow shrugged as he summoned an egg. "I'm bored..."

"Go play Wii."

"I don't want to..."

"Go read a book."

"I don't want to..."

"Go attack Ghirahim."

"He scares me."

"Go kill something in the forest."

"I don't want to."

"Go out and buy something."

"I don't want to."

"Go clean your room."

"I don't want to."

"Go do something on the internet."

"I don't want to."

"Go listen to music."

"I don't want to."

"Go back in time and do something that doesn't change the future.*"

"I don't want to."

I was getting really irritated. An anime angry mark appeared on my head. "Then go do something!"

Shadow shrugged. I turned away so that I could prepare for tomorrow.

"Hey Link," Shadow smirked.

"What?"

"Think fast!"

Shadow threw the egg at me. It broke open and I got splattered with pieces of egg. I stared at Shadow in shock.

"Nanana Boo-Boo, you can't catch me!" Shadow taunted as he walked backwards.

"SHADOW LINK, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" I yelled as I chased after him.
