Reina: Clearly I'm mean to the Voltron crew. In addition to having most of them disappear in The Phantom Requiem, I wrote this.

Also, The Librarians and the song Suicide Circus inspired this. Somehow.

And it has a similar concept to We Happy Few.

Chapter 1: Welcome, children

Allura waited patiently in line at the Cirque Delirium Visitors Building, eager to buy her ticket. She had heard from her Uncle Coran that the circus/carnival was quite delightful, and wanted to see it for herself.

Eventually, Allura bought her ticket. As she pocketed the change, she was thanked the employee and walked out and marveled at her surroundings. It seemed like a normal circus and carnival, but the glasses made it appear as if it was from space. As she walked through the place, she couldn't help but marvel her surroundings.

Her uncle was right. It truly was wonderful.

After several hours of riding rides and playing typical carnival games, Allura checked her watch. 30 min until the Big Top performance. She headed over there to get a good seat. Before she could enter the white and green tent, she was stopped by a space clown, who wordlessly handed her a pair of white glasses.

"We are adding VR to our experience," the clown told her. "Put them on now."

Thanking him, Allura put them up and headed to the front for a good seat. Other people filed in behind her, whispering excitedly about the show.

Evenutally, the show began.

A man in a suit walked out. "Welcome to Cirque Delirium's highlight! I am the proud owner and host, Zarkon!"

Cheers rang out through the crowd. Waving his hands, he announced, "Now for our first person... The Black Paladin!"

A young man with black hair and dark eyes entered the arena, waving. Allura cheered as he entered the center, ready to do his part of the show - a sword demonstration.

Then something went wrong.

Well, the performance kept going.

But Allura's virtual reality glasses failed.

She took in a sharp intake of breath as the crowd gasped in awe at the Black Paladin.

No....

It wasn't possible.

What she was seeing....

Was too deadly for a normal circus/carnival.

At the end of the show, Allura put her glasses away.

How.....

How did Zarkon get away with this?

As she attempt to exit the place, she saw the clowns taking everyone's glasses. Sighing, she pulled them out and handed them to the clown, then scurried out.

She had to get away.

Thankfully, she made it to her car, allowing her to drive home.

She had to let someone know what happened.

When she arrived home, she saw that her uncle was still at work. Sighing she went upstairs and to her room. As she shut the door, she saw that the light from computer was on.

Probably from one of my mice, she thought.

As she sat down on the computer, she refreshed her page, and several news popped up.

Several of them were talking about people who were missing family members.

She gasped when she saw one of them

It was the Black Paladin. Or how he looked in the VR glasses.

She quickly clicked on the link and read the title.

Altea University student goes missing.

He goes to my University, she thinks.

Why was he at Cirque Delirium.

It then hit her.

He's been kidnapped.

She pushed her chair back and looked down.

"I have to save him."

Reina: So this is a start of a potential story. Should I upload this or The Phantom Requiem?

If I upload this, I might include articles that Allura finds that to explain what happens to the characters. I couldn't think of one for Shiro though lol.

I'm going to avoid adding in Isa/Echo/Ophelia, as well as my other OCs unless I need some background characters.
