Dripping Ink Chapter 2
Reina: Here's Dripping Ink Chapter 2, Version 1. This version has Isa and Elluki.
(The video above is made by IrishTrish for Yandere Simulator. But this makes for great music in the really tense parts here.)
(Also I think I made Jack the main character. Oops. He and Mark were supposed to share the role.)
Chapter 2: Dried Ink
"Are you sure that Felix isn't animating?" Mark asks for the tenth time in an hour.
Jack drops his head to the wheel. "I don't know anymore. Just shut the f*** up Mark."
They wait a few more minutes, and Jack starts to doze off when he hears the car door open. He snaps his head up and turns slightly to see Mark exit the car.
"Mark! Get your a** back here!"
Mark was already at the door. Jack scowled and grabbed his phone as he left the car, dashing after his friend. "Mark! Mark you m**********r!"
Jack entered the studio and crashed into Mark. Mark didn't seemed fazed at all, but poor Jack lost his balance and fell backwards against the door.
"G*******t Mark. Warn me when you're going to run off like that."
Mark didn't answer. Jack frowned and got up. "Mark?"
Mark still didn't answer still. Jack got up and stood near Mark. When he stood near Mark, he followed Mark's line of sight and took a step back, eyes wide.
"Jesus Christ... What happened?" Jack whispered.
The studio was a disaster. Papers were strewn on the floor, as well as ink. The posters on the wall were faded. Jack pulled his phone out and turned on the flashlight feature, shining the light on the poster. On the poster was Isa Lobo, one of the studio's creations, battling Elluki Clockworker, another creation, with a sword. The title underneath was "Battle of Merrigold Plateau."
"I don't remember this," he muttered.
He waited for Mark to answer. Being met with silence, he turned. "Mark?"
Mark wasn't there.
Jack cursed silently under his breath. He was going to throttle Mark.
Using his flashlight, Jack followed the path through the studio using his memory. More posters covered the wall, depicting Isa and Elluki separately promoting different episodes. Isa's were more techy in nature, and Elluki's were more magical. He passed by the main office where the preview clips were viewed. Jack passed by a cutout of Isa that was as tall as him.
As Jack walked forward, he paused when he saw two plushes on the shelves. They were both chibis - one was Isa, and the other was Elluki.
Jack smiled at them. "They're so cute..."
Looking at the plushies brought back memories. Jack had animated clips for Isa and Elluki, but he felt more attached to Elluki, given that he had voiced him for a few years. He had voiced Isa at one point whenever she would disguise herself in her episodes, but then again so had Mark and Felix-
CRASH!
Jack whipped his head around and saw a piece of wood on the floor. He looked up and saw that there was now a hole in the ceiling.
"How can a studio fall into disrepair in two years?" Jack muttered.
He kept walking forward when he heard Mark gasp. He whipped his head to the left and ran towards Mark, stopping when he behind him. "Mark?"
"Oh my god..." Mark whispered.
Jack looked forward and could barely suppress a scream.
It was Elluki. A cartoon character, come to life.
At least, he was once alive.
Elluki's wrists were bound above his head and attached to a chain that extended from the ceiling. His chest was bare, but covered in scars. His pants were in shreds, barely hiding the blood, and his feet were cake in blood. Jack stepped closer to Elluki's face and gazed carefully, noticing that he looked like he was in a deep slumber. Reaching out to touch his forehead, Jack retracted it upon feeling how cold Elluki's body was.
"Who could do this?" Jack whispered.
"I don't know," Mark replied softly. "But whoever did this was a f****** monster."
"I agree," Jack muttered. He turned to the right and blinked. "What the-?"
On the walls were the words in an angry script, declaring, "HIS BLOOD IS ON YOUR HEAD MOTH******ERS!"
"Who wrote that?"
"I'd rather not find out," Mark whispered. "Let's get out of here."
Jack and Mark quickly walked back to the door and attempted to open it. It was locked. Mark tried bashing on the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"F***!" He yelled.
Jack attempted to kick the door, but it still didn't move. He saw a piece of paper attached to the wall, and he brought his phone closer to it.
"The only way to leave here is to turn on the ink machine."
"What is an ink machine?" Mark asks, having given up on the door.
"I want to say it makes ink.... But that doesn't sound right...." Jack muttered.
"Should we turn it on?" Mark asked.
"No," Jack replied. "But if we don't...."
"First, let's find the machine," Mark suggested.
The two men retraced their steps until they were at the intersection where Elluki's room was. They turned right instead of left, and saw a gigantic machine. It looked like it had a face.
"So this is it..." Mark muttered.
Jack looked around and saw a wrench. He picked it up and examined the machine. "Should we fix it?"
"Let's find a switch first," Mark suggested.
The two of them left and began to wander a bit until they reached the break room. Inside were six pedestals with six pictures behind them, with a switch and a sign on the wall. Mark went to inspect the switch, while Jack looked at the pictures. Each picture had a different image - a gear, a wrench, a book, a record, a pencil, and Isa and Elluki. The basics of building a cartoon, he realized. Jack approached the wrench picture, and felt a tug from his hand. He looked down and noticed that the wrench was drawn towards the pedestal. He raised the wrench to the pedestal and let go, shocked to see the wrench flew to the pedestal and fly, suspended in mid-air.
"The f****** lever is jammed," Mark cursed.
"I think we have to gather the objects and offer them here," Jack muttered.
Jack heard a crackle, and turned to see Mark holding a tape recorder, which began to play a tape.
"Jack and Mark were lucky to escape," Felix's voice said from the tape, causing Jack and Mark's eyes to widen. "I should have jumped ship with them. Runi's gone nuts, calling them deserters. Crazy m**********r. But lately he's been asking us to offer crap from our desks for this machine and to offer to some god. No one else is questioning it, but this doesn't seem normal. I want to leave, but Runi's threatened to follow us. He doesn't suspect that I'm a dissenter. I intend to find out what he's up to. Felix out."
Jack and Mark leveled glances at each other. "We were set up," Mark hissed. "That, or Felix is f****** with us."
Jack shook his head. "F***. Let's hurry up."
Mark walked out. "I'll get the gear and music. I saw them earlier."
Jack nodded. "I'll get the dolls."
Jack walked out and began to head the shelves. Grabbing the two dolls, he looked to his left and saw another hallway. He walked over there, and found himself in the makeshift theater. He walked around to see if he could find anything. Finding the pencil with the reels, he grabbed it and turned, only to see a button saying, "Ink Flow." He tried to push it, but it didn't budge. "I'll have to come later," Jack muttered.
Jack decided to head back. As he walked back, he heard a female whisper, "Saa... Zangenasai."
Jack whipped his head around. He was alone.
Okay, maybe he imagined it.
But what did that mean?
He shook his head and headed back to the break room. Mark was there, having already put in the gear, the book, and the record.
"Okay, so we have hard work, music, teamwork, and a story..." Jack muttered.
"So now we need the means to draw and the characters," Mark finished.
Jack nodded as he put the pencil on its pedestal, then moved to put the dolls on theirs. Mark went to pull the lever, but scowled. "Great... There isn't enough ink flow."
Jack ran out. "I can do that!" He headed back to the theater room, and stopped suddenly. He saw Isa's cutout peeking down the hallway.
"Huh?"
The cutboard cutout disappeared. Jack ran forward and turned the corner, and gasped when he saw red pain cover the cutout.
"Jesus f****** Christ..." Jack muttered. "This place is messing with me." He took a step in, only to see a clip of Elluki and Isa sword fighting turn on. Jack blinked. Okay, either this place was haunted....
Or someone else was in here.
Jack pushes that to the back of his mind as he activates the button. Hearing the ink flow, he heads back. As he heads back, he hears laughter - similar to BB from FNAF. Jack looked around, but he was alone.
"Jack?"
Jack turned to see Mark jog to him. "I just turned the lever. Should we check on the machine?"
"I guess so..." Jack mumbled.
The two men headed back to ink machine. However, the door was boarded up. Mark scowled. "Great..." He walked forward and looked through the opening. "That is a lot of i-"
Suddenly something fell from the ceiling inside the ink machine room. It slowly got up and shot a look at Mark, emitting an ear-piercing scream.
"What the f- JACK, RUN!" Mark screamed.
The two turned and bolted away from the room. Ink fell from the ceiling and pooled on the ground. Soon Mark and Jack were running in ink, hoping to escape.
"There's the exit!" Mark yelled. The two of them reach their hands out-
Only for the floor to give out underneath them.
Sounds of surprise left their mouths before they crashed on the ground. Jack groaned and slowly got up, thankful that he wasn't dead or injured. It seemed impossible, but he wasn't questioning it.
"You okay, Mark?"
"I am," Mark assured as he stood up. He looked around, until he saw the wall. "What the.... 'Saa, Zangensai' and... 'Die you m***********g creator for making us suffer.' Okay, that's not normal. Is that from Isa? Or Elluki?"
"What makes you say that?" Jack says as he looks around.
"We saw Elluki's body, meaning he was brought to life. It won't be a stretch that he wrote over the walls."
"I say Isa," Jack replies as he hands Mark an axe. "I heard a female say 'Saa Zangensai' earlier. I thought I was imagining it at first..."
"Can I axe a question?" Mark smirks.
Jack shakes his head. "Now is not the time for puns. We have to escape."
Mark nods and the two of them look at the wooden boards in front of them. Together, they began to cut them down and moved forward. This went on for some time, until they reached a room with candles and a pentagram on the floor.
Jack leaned down to inspect it. "Okay, so Runi communing with demons. F****** hell."
Mark nodded. As he looked around, he froze upon a female laugh.
That was when the candles went on.
Reina: I used BATIM Chapter 1 for inspiration. Then I deviated.
I'm thinking about using Isa and Elluki. It has to do with their... Talents which could cause paranoia and dispair.
Also, this is technically version 2, but it was easier for me to use these two as opposed to Bendy and Boris. Besides... Chapter 2 is coming out this week and I'm pretty sure that all of my theories for them will be proven wrong immediately. At least with these two I don't have to worry about that.
I actually imagine this as a manga. Perhaps I'll draw some picture of this in the future, as Elluki and Isa will have different designs.
Also, this chapter is super long. Really long, compared to the last chapter of Dripping Ink.
