Chapter 4: "It's definitely not like my old school for sure,"
I wake up to my alarm blasting. I groan and reach over to my phone and keep pressing it until I don't hear the sound anymore. I turn on my side and pull the covers over my head. I start to drift off to sleep again when I hear my dad yelling.
"GET YOUR BUTS UP! YOUR GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL. DON'T MAKE ME HAVE TO COME IN THERE," he yells.
I groan and get up but just end up falling out of bed. I land on the floor with a hard thud.
"Oww," I say and head to the bathroom. I rub the sleep from my eyes and start the shower.
I take off my clothes and get in when it's hot. I lather up and rinse and then I'm out with a towel around me. After I put my body products on I go to my walk-in closet. I put on an outfit that screams DON'T FUCK WITH ME AND WE WON'T HAVE A PROBLEM.
I put on the black crop top with some black ripped jeans and my black heel boots. I pair it with my black leather jacket. I put on my necklace that says queen and walk to the bathroom to put on my makeup. I put on foundation, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow.
I then grab my backpack and my phone and head out the door. I go downstairs and into the kitchen. My brother is feeding the dogs and my parents are sitting down at the table.
"Morning," I say and sit down.
My mom looks up. "Good morning. Ready for your big day?" she asks.
"I guess, I say and shrug. I began to dig into the pancakes and bacon. I drink my orange juice then head back upstairs to brush my teeth. When I go back downstairs I see my brother waiting on me so I grab my backpack and we head out the door. My twin already told them goodbye to me.
We head to the garage and I see the new motorcycle that I've always dreamed I would get. It's a 2019 white Suzuki GSX-R600. It's so gorgeous. These people don't have any idea what's coming.
My brother goes to his new car that I've never even heard of but he does. I get on and put on my helmet and my backpack in the compartment. I pull out the garage then out the driveway, and onto the street. I feel the wind whipping my hair and my adrenaline pumping.
This is why I love motorcycles so much. It makes you feel free and at peace.
fifteen minutes later I pull up into the school and find a parking space. This school is huge and the parking lot is getting filled up. I find one and park in it but I don't get off.
Welcome to Ravenwood High.
People are staring at me and whispering to their friends. Some people have amused or curious expressions on their faces. I wonder do they know it's a girl under this helmet.
Suddenly the rumble is heard and I turn to see my brother. Finally, his ass is here and making an entrance just like I did. I see people looking at the car with their jaws drop.
He parks right beside me and gets out of the car. I see the girls swoon and the guys puffing out their chests.
I just roll my eyes and shake my head. My brother then comes and stands in front of me. He gives me a smirk and I smirk back. I finally take off my helmet and everyone gasps.
My smirk grows wider and I take my back out and get off the bike. My twin and I begin walking towards the entrance and we hear the whispers all around us.
OMG, they are hot! Woah are they dating? I bet they're related. Ugh, she's such a slut.
That last one is stupid. Like you don't even know me. I've barely been here for 10 minutes. Like bitch bye.
We make it to the entrance and pull the doors open. We find the office and go up to the front desk.
The lady is looking at her computer when she sees us and smiles.
"Hi, how may I help you?" She asked us.
"Hi, my brother and I are new here and we need our schedule," I say to her.
"Ok, and what is your name?" She asked.
"Aaliyah and Halden Crossley," I say
She looks thru some folders with the last names until she sees ours.
"Ah, here it is. Ms. and Mr. Crossley. Paperwork was sent in a couple of days ago,"she says.
She hands us each two different papers. One is our schedule and the other one looks like a locker combination.
"Here's your schedule and your locker along with the combination. You kids have a nice day", she says and we walk away.
We walk a little further and then stop to compare our schedules.
"We have three classes together," my brother says.
I give him a look. "No shit Sherlock," I say
He just rolls his eyes and says he'll see me later. I just roll my eyes as he walks away and I go to find my locker.
The hallways are beginning to get busy and fuller. Probably because the class is gonna start soon and people want to enjoy freedom while it lasts.
I find my locker and put my combination in and then I open it. I start putting some of my stuff in that I don't need right now. Next thing you know the bell rings.
I curse myself for being late on my first day. I look at my schedule and see my first class is Language Arts.
Great, my first class is the most boring.
I find the class and take a quick breath before opening it. I open the door and it bangs against the wall.
The class turns and looks at me and the teacher stops talking. I walk in and go to the teacher's desk.
"I'm your new student," I say.
"Your Aaliyah right?" He asks.
I nod my head. He turns his attention to the class.
"Class this is Aaliyah Crossley. She just moved here and this is her first day," he says. A few say hello others just look at me.
"I'm Mr. Harley and I will be your Language Arts teacher for the rest of the school year. You can sit anywhere you like," he says.
I just nod and head to the back where there are seats available and no ones there.
I take a seat and sit my backpack in the chair next to me. I put my feet in the chair and relax. The teacher goes back to teaching when the door burst open and makes a loud bang against the wall.
Three guys that are hot as fuck walk in. They all look like a badass just by looking at the way they dress. They look very familiar too. I've sworn I have seen them before.
"Why are you late?" He asks.
"I didn't want to see your boring ass," the first one says.
The class snickers. I just look at them and roll my eyes.
The teacher pinches the bridge of his nose like he's tired of it.
"Just go sit down before I have to write you up again," he says like this is an everyday occurrence.
The boys head down the row and make their way to the back. They stop at where I'm sitting and stand in front of me. The boy who had talked back to the teacher glared at me.
"You in my seat," he says. I just look at him
"I don't see your name on it so therefore this seat is not yours," I say.
He looks pissed now. "I don't care. I sit there so get your ass up and go sit somewhere else," He says
Who does he think he is?
"I'm not getting up so you better get that in your thick skull right now," I say and then pull my phone out and ignore him.
What he does next doesn't shock me.
A loud slam echo's through the room and I look up and see his face inches from mine and his hands on the table.
He looks like he wants to rip my head off
"Listen you little bitch. I don't know who you are but in this school, I run it so that means you listen or go back from wherever you came from.
I look around and see everyone looking at us with fearful eyes.
I put my phone down gently on the table and stand up till we're face to face.
"First of all don't you ever call be a bitch again. And secondly, does it look like I care that you run the school? Cause I honestly don't give a fuck. Your just a bad boy with a stick up your ass who has some problems. My advice is to go see a fucking psychiatrist. But I doubt that would help you anyway. Oh, and I'm still not moving. You don't own this seat or this school," I say with a cold face that can scare people.
He clenches his fist and opens his mouth to say something else but his friend puts his hand on his shoulder.
"Let's just go find somewhere else to sit," his friend says.
He glares at me and I just smirk. They walk off and go sit to the left side of the room. I sit back down and turn to see people looking at me and whispering.
I glare at them hard and they turn away.
Has no one ever stood up to that guy?
Throughout the class, I feel eyes on me while I'm secretly on my phone.
I look up and my eyes connect with dark brown ones.
He's just starting at me. It's enough to make someone uncomfortable.
We stare at each other for the longest until I break the contact and go to looking at my phone.
Why did I stare back? Why was he's starting at me anyways?
Soon the class bell rings and the teacher tells us we have no homework tonight. I do a cheer in my head and begin to pack up my stuff. I put my backpack on and my phone in my back pocket. I get up and walk out of the classroom.
I go to my locker, grab what I need, and look down my schedule. Oh lord, it's chemistry. They better hope I don't blow the lab up like at my last school.
I find the classroom and walk-in. People look at me and begin whispering. I find a table in the back on the left side of the room.
I pull out my phone and scroll through Instagram.
I feel the seat being pulled out beside but I don't turn my head.
"Hi," whoever is sitting beside me says.
I finally turn my head and see it's a girl. She looks about my age and she's smiling at me.
"I'm Kinsley and you must be Aaliyah right?" She asks.
She seems nice but how does she know my name?
"I heard about you in the first period," she says
I groan. Great now everyone knows me.
"Your brave for telling him off. No one has ever cared to do such a thing because they know what he would do," she says.
I raise my eyebrow. "And what is that exactly?" I ask
"Make your life hell or put you in the hospital," she says with a smirk.
I smirk at her. "Then he better be prepared cause I'll be ready," I say.
"I think we'll get along just fine. Say, when do you have lunch?" She asked.
I look at my schedule and see my lunch period is right after chemistry.
"I have it right after this class," I tell her.
"Come sit with me and my best friend at lunch," she says and pulls out her notebook.
I think about it for a moment. "Okay, sure," I say and pull out my notebook.
"Great. We can walk together so I can show you where we sit," she says and we both began writing the notes while the teacher passes our worksheets.
After class, we go to my locker so I can put my books in and Kinsley leans against it on her phone.
"So what are your thoughts about this school so far?" She asks me.
"It's not like my old school for sure," I say.
"Where did you live here before you came here?" She asks
"Florida," I say.
Her eyes go wide. "Woah, that a big move," she says and I nod with her.
We walk to lunch together talking about our likes and dislikes. I can already tell we're gonna be great friends.
