a day later you are back at the firehouse and you are running through some drills as a completion with Matthew, Severide and Joe Cruz

"ok now let's do the one where the person is trapped on the roof and we have to get the person down," you say

"and the quickest team wins Matt your with me and Kelly  you are with Joe"

"ok then (Y\N) your setting it up" Joe remarks but before you can set up the drill an automated signal sounds

"fire truck 81, squad 3, ambulance 61 warehouse fire" the automated voice announces.

"looks like we have to finish this when we get back," you say as you start running to the trucks

three minutes later and you are thinking about what happened in the last warehouse fire you attended. You are visibly concerned

"(Y/N) are you all right?" Matt asks 

"Yea I should be fine," you reply getting the thoughts out of your head

Seven minutes later the trucks arrive at a warehouse that is well alight. You start to feel really nervous

"looks like this is going to be an all hands on deck situation," you remark to everyone as they disembark the truck

"yes it is" Matt replies 

"chief we are going to need back up" you exclaim.

Chief Boden radios the request. Two minutes later and the rest of the  trucks arrive

"ok truck 81, 12 and 58 with Lieutenant Casey and squad 8, 3 and 5 with lieutenant Severide and the rest of you get ready to fight this fire" chief Boden instructs

"ambulance 61 is triage"

"ok you heard the chief" Matt says as he ties a lead rope to  a lamp pole

"men we will lay this line down and follow it no matter what"

everyone from truck 81, 12 and 58 attach a clip to the rope "Matt we are good  to go" you say noticing everyone is attached to the rope

moments later and you and the rest of the team are in the warehouse trying to find survivors

"fire department call out" you yell "over here" you hear a girl yell.

A moment later and the team walk into a room that has three walls alight

"can you walk," Matt asks

"I can but I won't leave my friend," the girl says indicating to another girl laying on the floor

"ok I've got this," you say as you unclip yourself and walk over to the girls

"come with me," you say to the girl that is ok as  you pick up her friend

"how do we get out," the girl asks in a scared tone

"(Y\N) we are going to move on" Matt informs you

"ok then go and we are going to follow the rope," you say as you pick the badly injured girl up.

three minutes later and you are outside carrying and leading the girls to the ambulances

"Dawson I've got incoming" you call out. Two minutes later and you arrive at ambulance 61

"can I ride with you" the girl politely asks Gabriela as you place the other girl gently on the stretcher

"are you family" she replies 

"no, but I promised her mum I'd keep her safe" the girl retorts because she wants to be with her friend

"ok you can come just so long as you don't touch anything cos you can't break a promise," Dawson says in an understanding tone.

you start walking back to the rope when you see a tall dark figure but you ignore it and go back in to help anyone else who needs it
