you are at Molly's with Matthew

"so what was it like in LA?" he asks

"well it was a nice place but the rules were different but all round it was nice" you reply

"don't mind me asking but (Y\N) why did you come to Chicago in the first place," he asks

"it was because I lost someone important," you say thinking it would be better that someone knows

"but I don't like to talk about it though"

"if it makes you feel better I lost someone too," he says

"who?" you ask

"I'm not telling you who unless you tell me who you lost" he replies teasing you in a way

"ok fine but you promise not to tell anyone else," you say

"ok if people hear about it wont be from me," Matt replies

"ok then I lost my brother in a warehouse fire that we were attending," you say a little saddened

"well the person I lost was my fiancé but I don't like to mention h,ow" Matt says with a hint of sadness 

"anyway  lets talk about something more pleasant," you say cheerfully

"like what we do after our shifts asides from rest, so what do you do"

"well I do some trade work, what do you do? and thanks for changing the subject," Matt says

"well when I am not at my apartment or at home you can find me at the homeless shelter or here now that you showed me this place," you say

an hour later you and Matt go your separate ways you decide to head home. Ten minutes later you reach your apartment to find it has been ransacked

"ok," you say to your self

"lets see if our robber actually took anything" you start looking through the mess on your apartment floor. 

You look for five minutes nothing is taken but you find a photo of you and your brother

"Hmm, how did that get there," you say to yourself. you decide to call Jay Halstead who you know from when you first moved to Chicago.

"Hey Jay I just had the weirdest thing happen to me," you say

"what happened"  he replies over the phone

"my apartment was broken in to but nothing was taken but I found a picture of me and my brother," you say

"and the only person who has a copy of that particular photo is my brother,"

"ok should I check it out" he relies confused

"what you should do is check is if a Jesse (Y\L\N) has been staying here in Chicago," you say hopefull that it is him
