The Royal Knights were dismissed for the day as they will meet up at their lodging tonight. When they walked out, Kyoya and Juvia just looked at Mukuro. Seeing their glares, Mukuro chuckled as he turned to them.

"Why so tense? We're on the same squad after all. Besides, the Eye of the Midnight Sun is a bigger threat than myself. So I say we bury the hatchet for now."

"Don't get us wrong Mukuro, we already know we need to work together. What we want to know is what you will do afterwards."

"That should be simple. I'll go back to prison. It's not like the Wizard King will let me roam free. Surely you have a brain in that head of yours, Kyoya."

"You bastard.........."

As Kyoya and Mukuro glared at each other, Juvia was starting to get worried that a fight might break out. When she looked around, she saw a shop selling sweets. Soon she decided to take Mukuro and Kyoya there.

"Hey, why don't we go over there and enjoy ourselves before we meet back up with everyone."

".....fine."

Reluctantly, Mukuro and Kyoya agreed as Juvia took them over to the shop. While Mukuro simply got tea and chocolate, Juvia and Kyoya were enjoying some strawberry cake.

"Oh~ Nothing is better than cake."

"Kufufu, you really are a child."

"Now, now. Let's try to get alo-"

When Juvia blinked, she heard the sound of rubble hitting the floor. She was confused by this as she saw Kyoya casually eating his cake. When she looked at Mukuro, he simply drunk his tea as a sword made of ice was stabbed a few inches away from his head.

"Kufufu, it's not like you to miss such an important target."

"Shut up, if I kill you now it will be a waste."

"HE SERIOUSLY JUST TRIED TO MURDER HIM?!"

Juvia was in shock as she just saw that Kyoya casually tried to murder Mukuro. Meanwhile, Mukuro merely smiled at the action. As the trio walked out the shop after paying for the sweets and tipping the owner as an apology for the damage, Juvia sighed as she knew that those two won't get along. When they were walking to the Royal Knights' lodging, Kyoya spoke up to Mukuro.

"Mukuro, I couldn't tell you this during the exam but now is a good time. Ken is doing just fine. He's started a new life at Sun Village while helping its people."

"Is that so........i'm glad."

A smile appeared on Mukuro's face. However, unlike his usual smug expression, a look of pure joy was on his face. Kyoya smirked as he walks ahead.

"You better make sure you don't die. If he can atone then there is a small chance of redemption for you."

"Kufufu. If I was ever sorry for my actions, I wouldn't be here in the first place."

As the two of them walked into the Royal Knights lodging, Juvia smiled as she saw that the two of them have calmed down. But one thing was clear, they all had to work together to destroy a common enemy.

~Outside the Royal Knights Lodging~
Mereoleona was standing outside, staring at the night sky. While she was alone, she felt someone else's presence approaching her. Seeing who it was, she just had a smirk on her face.

"Nozel, what is it that you wanna discuss with me?"

"The fact that we are taking three days to set our plan into motion. Isn't that too cautious?"

"Do you think i'm some paranoid coward? I set a trap to see what level of intel the enemy knows of our attack. Now then, do you think you can sneak up on me with that pathetic spell?"

As Mereoleona asked this, a face appeared in her shadow as it detached itself and tried to run away. However, Nozel quickly made a spear from his magic and used it to pin him down.

~With Kyoya~
The ice mage was seen next to Juvia. When he was looking at her, he caught a smile on her face. Seeing this, he decided to ask her about it.

"Somone sure seems happy. What's got you in a good mood?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm just happy that we get to be on the same team again. With the two of us together no one is a match for us!"

Hearing this, Kyoya smiled softly. However that smile was short lived as he suddenly drop kicked her into the ground. His look of joy was replaced with annoyance.

"LIKE HELL I'D FALL FOR THAT TRICK MUKURO!!!! YOU PIECE OF SHIT!"

"Tch, I guess I didn't fool you after all."

Soon "Juvia's" body was surrounded by mist. As the mist cleared up, it revealed Mukuro as he was getting up. As soon as he stood up, he looked at Kyoya.

"How did you know that it was me?"

"Juvia's way cuter than you personality and look wise. Plus your mana gave it away, you dumbass."

Before Mukuro and Kyoya could fight, Mereoleona and Nozel walked into the room with a mysterious stranger behind them. It turned out he was a spy for the Eye of The Midnight Sun and used Asta to get here. After explaining, Mereoleona looked at the Royal Knights.

"I've questioned him and the enemy isn't aware of our activities. Therefore, i've moved up the date of departure. We storm their hideout first thing in the morning. I want everyone at their best so get plenty of rest tonight, that is all."

Hearing this, they were surprised by what they heard. Juvia was also surprised, but she saw the serious look on Kyoya's face. Not only his, even Mukuro had a serious expression.

"To avenge Wendy's death......."

"To make that bastard responsible for the experiments...and my sister's death...."

"We'll defeat the Eye of the Midnight Sun!"

~Next Day~
In the middle of the magic region known as Gravito, a door opened up revealing the Royal Knights walking into the area. When they looked ahead, they saw the enemy's base in front of them.

"So this is their hideout. The mist looks like it will never disappear."

As Kyoya looked at it, he couldn't believe it. He was finally going to take on the enemy. Soon the magic knight known as Shiren stepped up as he was about to reveal the layout of the hideout.

"Stone Creation Magic:Stone Model of the World."

With his grimoire opened, Shiren manifests a stone formation of the hideout. Not only that, it showed the positions of the enemies inside. As everyone looked at it, they noticed that there were a lot of entrances making it easy to infiltrate but that also means they may have a strong defense.

"Alright everyone. We shall split up into teams and each take a different entrance inside the base and make our way towards the center! Any enemies you happen to see on the way, crush them no matter what!!!!"

After saying that, Mereoleona and the Royal Knights split up as they entered the hideout. Kyoya was with Juvia and Mukuro as they entered through the far right of the base. As they ran, they had one goal. To defeat the enemy before them!

~With Daemon Spade~
As the man was sitting in silence, he heard the sounds of footsteps approaching him. Not only that, he sensed some strong mana as well. Though one in particular felt familiar.

"I see.....so Mukuro Rokudo is also here."

A smile appeared on Daemon Spade's face. To think that his subject and himself would reunite like this. As the man stood up, he said one thing.

"Let's see just how much you've changed, my son."
