As Lotus looked at the group of mages in front of him, he knew that he was in a bit of a bind. He sighed as he knew he would have to get serious now.

"Well this isn't good for me. Three against one isn't really fair. Oh well, guess i'll have to put forth some effort. Smoke Creation Magic:Degenerate King's Smoke Prison!"

Lotus generates clouds of smoke that start swirling around Luck, Noelle, and Asta until it forms a dome around them. As this happened, the three Black Bulls tried everything they could to get rid of the smoke but all the smoke kept replenishing itself.

"This spell consumes a high amount of magical power so I was hoping I didn't need to cast it. Plus I can't really see through all the smoke, but I can sense there mana so it balances out."

As Asta jumps around and cuts some of the smoke with his sword, Luck was trying to think of a way to defeat Lotus. He knows that he'll just dodge an attack if he or Noelle launches an one against him. Asta can't sense mana so he doesn't know where to swing.

"Think.....we aren't getting anywhere fighting like this. What do I know about his fighting style so far? He can sense our mana and fills the air with more smoke. We'll suffocate if we wait to long. We just need one good attack."

"I'm not done yet!!!!!"

Asta jumped through the smoke as he tries to cut it apart. When Luck looked at him, he noticed something. He couldn't tell where Asta was until he yelled and changed positions. Soon he pats Noelle's shoulder as he had an idea.

While this happened, Lotus was deep within the smoke as he was thinking about what to do next. He was running low on magic power so he knew he had to end this quickly and meet up with Mars or Xanxus. As this happened, he sensed someone's magic heading towards him.

Luck held out his hands as he launched orbs made of lightning magic at Lotus. As he kept attacking, Noelle quickly points her wand at Asta's back. She quickly blasts Asta forward with her water magic. As Lotus was focusing on Luck's attack, Asta swung his blade at Lotus. Since Asta had no mana, Lotus couldn't sense his attack.

As Lotus was struck by Asta's sword, he was sent flying to a wall as he coughed up blood. When this happened, the smoke in the area began to clear up. As this happened, Noelle spoke up.

"I can't believe that actually worked."

"Yeah, it was actually kind of fu-"

Luck couldn't finish his sentence as he immediately detected some strong mana. As he did, he felt shivers down his spine as he kept smiling.

"Guys, let's hurry to the treasure room."

"What?! But we have to go back to Kyoya!!!!"

Luck merely shook his head at Asta's statement. He could tell that Kyoya was getting serious in his fight. If they suddenly joined in now, they'd probably get in his way.

"Trust me Asta, Kyoya's a lot stronger than he looks. Plus if he really needed help he would've only sent one of you here. Trust me, he's got this. So let's hurry to the treasure room."

Asta and Noelle nodded since Luck's statement made sense. They followed Luck as he detected another strong source of mana. As this happened, he had one thought on his mind.

"Don't lose Kyoya."

"You say i'm overestimating myself. You're saying that i'm weaker than I actually am. You.....you.......YOU DAMN SCUM!!!!!!!"

As Xanxus shouted in rage, Kyoya noticed that his magic power was increasing. While this happened, he saw that the scars on Xanxus' body became more and more visible.

"I am Xanxus!!!!!! I am the strongest!!!!! You and your pathetic magic........I'LL INCINERATE EVERY SINGLE TRACE!!!!!! Flame Magic:Colpo d'Addio!!!!!!"

Xanxus charges his guns with his Flame of Wrath and fires two extremely powerful bursts of flame magic with more power than Scoppio d'Ira. As the attack got closer to Kyoya, the boy said one thing.

"What did you say, you scar-faced bastard? Ice-Make:Cocoon!!!!!"

Kyoya creates a cocoon made of ice to protect themselves from an attack. The cocoon surrounds his body and had ice spikes sticking out. When Xanxus attack connected, he was shocked by what he saw.

"The ice......it didn't melt?!"

"You can say whatever you want about me. But to disrespect her magic like that, the magic that i fight with.....Xanxus........I'll tear you to shreds."

Kyoya was beyond furious. He's used to being talked down on but when someone disrespects the magic that Ur trained him in, that's when he throws mercy out the window. Xanxus scoffed as he aimed his guns at Kyoya and fired large amounts of flames at him.

Kyoya merely charged forward towards the attack. Seeing this, Xanxus was sure that Kyoya was being damaged by his flames. However, he was filled with shock when Kyoya escaped from the flames and punched Xanxus into the ground. When Xanxus saw Kyoya's body, he noticed there was water surrounding it. Soon he realized just what happened.

"This bastard.....he froze his entire body and used the ice to act as a shield?!"

Just as Xanxus was ready to use his guns, he saw arrows made of ice were impaled through them. When he looked ahead, he saw Kyoya with a bow made of ice. Seeing that his guns won't be of any use, Xanxus coats his hands with his flames as he charged at Kyoya.

"YOU DAMN SCUM!!!!! DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN ON ME!!!!!!!"

As Xanxus charged at Kyoya, the ice mage lunged forward as he coats his hands with cold air. He wasn't going to freeze his hands like normal. This time, he's going to use the move he was saving for this moment.

"At first I couldn't use this due to how powerful Xanxus magic was. But now he's reckless, unfocused. Since his flames didn't melt the Ice Cocoon, that means I have a chance!"

"Drop dead, Kyoya Fullbuster!!!!!!!"

Xanxus threw a punch with his flame coated hands. When this happened, Kyoya used his own to catch Xanxus' punches. Both of them exerted a large amount of magic power. As they did, a light was shining between their hands.

Dust fills the air as the clash between fire and ice was over. As the dust cleared, it showed Kyoya on the ground as he was lying on his back. When the dust was finally gone, it revealed Xanxus. He couldn't move, he couldn't speak. He felt so cold, that it was like his bones were frozen. As he tries to use his flame magic to warm himself up, his eyes were wide with shock. His flames weren't melting the ice, in fact....he barely managed to ignite his flames.

"Ice Magic:Zero Point Breakthrough. How does it feel to be defeated.....by the same magic you called pathetic and by a member of the worst magic knight squad....Xanxus!"
