"It seems as though the battle at Spade Kingdom is still happening."

Echidna was happily drinking tea as she watched the battle at Spade Kingdom unfold. As she drunk her tea, she looked at Kyoya as a smile appeared on her face as she thought about what's happened.

"The first trial forced you to watch the past that you so desperately wanted to forget. The second trial made you relive all the present choices that you made and what the results were. The final trial basically tested your resolve and how you much you were willing to sacrifice to see the future."

Echidna looked into the air as her smile never left her face. The trials told her everything she needed to know about Kyoya. He's a victim blessed with a dark power. He's kind but he's suffered so much yet he keeps moving forward. Yes, Kyoya was definitely his descendant.

"If that's the case...I think it's time to form a contract with him. After all, he's just like you, Zeref."

~With Spade Castle~
"He's here...after so long....he's finally here!!!!!!!"

As Vanica was giggling to herself, she looked at Charlotte and Rill. Before she could finally excite herself, she had to get rid of them first. Though since the gate to the underworld has opened, she and the rest the Dark Triad now have access to one-hundred percent of their devil's power.

"You seemed to have forgotten who your opponents are!!!!"

As Charlotte dashed towards Vanica, the woman smiled as she quickly caught Charlotte's whip made of her Briar Magic. Soon a smirk appeared on Vanica's face as she looked at Charlotte.

"Tell me, have you heard of something called an Etherious?"

"Stop spouting nonsense."

"It's not nonsense. After all the knowledge and process of making an etherious is found in the same place we learned of the tree of Qliphoth. The Book of Zeref!!!!! See the etherious don't use magic, but curses. As you know, Megicula is the mother of all curses. So tell me...what do you think happened to the curses of the etherious when they were killed!!!!!"

Charlotte and Rill felt Vanica's mana surging. As they jumped back, they felt mana underneath them. When they looked down, they saw a circle of magic power beneath their feet with complex markings inside.

"Curse-Warding Magic:Landmine Curse!!!!"

As soon as Charlotte and Rill stepped away from the magic circle, the mana within it detonated as the two magic knight captains were caught in an explosion. Upon seeing this, Vanica began to laugh as she saw them in their injured state.

"Jackal's curses are really fun to use. I guess i'll entertain myself until he arrives, until my love arrives. But.....why stop at just using Jackal's curse. Curse-Warding Magic:Explosion!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened and using Thorn Curse, Vanica swipes her middle and index fingers and creates a rose composed of Megicula's power directly ahead of her as it completely engulfs Rill and Charlotte along with the nearby vicinity.

"Man....the etherious have really fun curses to use. I should have fought them when I had the chance."

"Painting Magic:Sirène's Game!!!!!"

With his grimoire opened, Rill swiped his brush and creates several mermaids made of water. The mermaids crash into Vanica, dousing her and the ground with water.

"That reminds me a bit of Tempester! Now it's my turn!!!! Curse-Warding Magic:Sink!!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened and using Calamity Curse, Vanica made Rill and Charlotte sink into the ground as if they stepped into quicksand. Seeing that her opponents can't move around, a smile appeared on her face.

"Oi, you're magic knight captains, right? Surely you're stronger than this. Curse-Warding Magic:Exploding Spiral!!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened and utilizing Bomb Curse, Vanica brings one arm behind her while gathering mana and consequently swings the other arm in Charlotte and Rill's direction. This action creates a large explosion in the form of a spiral that covers a large area.

"I guess I overestimated them. What a shame? Well then, guess i'll go meet with-"

"Painting Magic:Souterrain Groundswell!!!!!"

With his grimoire opened and a swipe from his brush, Rill created several humanoid figures that ride waves of dirt. The figures crash into Vanica, covering her and the ground in dirt.

"Charlotte!!!!"

"Mana Method Briar Magic:Blue Rose Paradise!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened, Charlotte creates two connected, concentric magic circles in soil and water on the floor. The arrays generate briars that cover the floor, extend up the walls, and captured Vanica. However, a smirk appeared on the woman's face.

"You've used this spell before. If its victims are cursed, the vines grow stronger from absorbing and weakening the curse power. But now that I know the trick behind it, this spell won't stop me. Blood Magic:Red Beast!!!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened, Vanica expels a large amount of blood and shapes it into the upper body of a large creature with clawed hands, a gaping mouth, and no eyes. The beast grabbed Charlotte's body in its claws and began to crush her. While Charlotte was screaming in agony, Vanica laughed as the briars that restricted her began to vanish.

"Sorry. I'm in a bit of a hurry. Someone I lost long ago has finally come back to me and I want to give him a warm welcome. So then...get out of my way."

As Vanica said this, the red beast slams Charlotte's body onto the ground. As the magic knight captain was standing up, Vanica skipped towards her. However, she still has one more problem.

"Painting Magic:Phantom Dragon Vouivre's Shout!!!!!"

With his grimore opened and a swipe from his brush, Rill creates a large creature with the head and torso of a woman, bat-like wings, two bird-like legs, and a long scaly tail. As Rill pointed his brush towards Vanica, the creature releases a magical blast towards her.

"Blood Magic:Piercing Blood!!!!!"

With her grimoire opened, Vanica compresses and condenses her blood to the limit. Afterwards, she clapped her hands together and fires the blood from her fingertips. The blood, now reinforced by Megicula's power, reached the speed of sound as it pierced through Rill's spell and hits him in his right shoulder.

"Well then. It's been fun, but I think its time to end this. Maybe i'll use your corpses as puppets when he arrives. Farewell, magic knights."

With her grimoire opened and utilizing Thorn Curse, Vanica swipes her middle and index fingers and creates a rose composed of Megicula's power directly ahead of her as it completely engulfs Rill and Charlotte along with the nearby vicinity.

"Now th-"

Before Vanica could leave the area, she felt a strong surge of magic power. She quickly dashed to the side as she avoided several bullets made of water magic. When she looked ahead, a smile appeared on her face.

"It seems we arrived here faster than expected. Then again, this works out perfectly. I don't think any holds a grudge against Vanica as strongly as we do."

"Noelle!!!! I'm so glad you're here!!!! You seem even stronger than when we fought at the Heart Kingdom. Sorry...but my attention...is on HIM!"

As Vanica looked in the direction where she attacked Charlotte and Rill, she saw a wall of ice. Soon a single figure was walking towards her as she felt incredible magic power from them. Vanica licked her lips as she saw the mage in front of her.

"I know it's rude to keep a girl waiting. For that, i'm sorry. I've put your ass-kicking on hold for a long time. Did you miss me, Vanica?"

"You've kept me waiting for so long. I'll make sure to drown you in my love. I love you. I love your power. I love your potential!! I love your despair!!!!!! You'll feel the full extent of my love as I kill you, Kyoya Fullbuster!!!!!!

"I see. Then I guess i'll return the favor. Since you're showing the full extent of your love.....I'll show you the full extent of my hatred, Vanica. For Natsu to rest in peace without regret, for the sake of my family that you killed, for the sake of the kingdom that you and the rest of the Dark Triad ruined.....I swear on my pride as a Devil Slayer to bring you down and take back my captain!!!! I'm going to free myself and the Spade Kingdom from the nightmare of the past!"

The time has finally come. The mage who's love caused him to go mad is finally within his sights. Kyoya Fullbuster is ready to wake up from the nightmare known as his past. The long awaited battle between Vanica and the Devil Slayer is about to begin.
