"Fire Dragon King's Roar!!!!!!!!"

Natsu produces a searing hot flame in his mouth before spewing it out in Kyoya's direction. The unleashed flames engulf a large-scale area and, with their incredible heat, not only scorched the earth beneath it but utterly vaporized it, leaving a U-shaped valley in its wake. However, Kyoya simply stabs his sword in the ground.

"Ice Devil's Four World Freeze."

After charging his magic power for four seconds, Kyoya unleashed all of the mana at once which resulted in Natsu's attack being frozen solid in a matter of seconds. Soon the ice mage quickly got in front of Natsu as he slashed the etherious' chest with his sword.

As blood escaped from Natsu's wound, the etherious was surprised when it was frozen seconds afterwards. However, the ice was hurting him more than the wound itself. Soon he glared at Kyoya, who quickly kicked him away from Spade Castle.

"First, I need to move both of us away from the castle before we do more damage."

"Fire Drgaon's Wing Attack!!!!!!"

Natsu rushed towards Kyoya and grabbed him, subsequently setting his hands ablaze, sending the ice mage flying. When this happened, Kyoya held onto his sword tightly.

"Ice Devil's Frozen Flower Funeral!!!!!"

Using his Ice Devil Slayer Magic, Kyoya swung down his left hand, summoning a column of snow that fell down onto the etherious. As the snow made contact with Natsu, ice flowers sprout all over his body, instantly trapping him in a pillar of ice as the ice was constantly eating away at his devilish mana.

Afterwards, Kyoya dashed forward as he passed Natsu with the sword made of ice in his hands. After a couple of seconds, both the ice sword and the ice trapping Natsu shattered. When this happened, Kyoya felt a pain in his chest.

"Damn.....I knew trying this form while i'm low on mana was a bad idea."

"Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!!!!!!"

Natsu lights his entire body ablaze and headbutts Kyoya's chest at high speed. The ice mage coughed up blood as he felt his flesh burning. He quickly put his hand on Natsu's flame engulfed body and froze him solid. Soon Kyoya's Ice Devil Kamui was breaking apart as he was breathing heavily while his hair turned back to its normal black color.

"It did what it needed to....taking some of the damage for my body and draining some of Natsu's power. But....."

Natsu quickly jumped from the ground. As he lands on his feet, he was breathing heavily too. Both of them knew that they were reaching their limit. Soon Kyoya engulfed his hand with a large amount of ice magic, as Natsu's was engulfed in fire magic.

"Hi!!!!! I'm Natsu Dragneel, what's your name?"

Suddenly Natsu and Kyoya were charging towards each other. While a giant wave of fire grew on Natsu's left hand, a veil of ice escaped from Kyoya's right hand. As they got closer, their magic power spiked dramatically.

"Kyoya....Kyoya Fullbuster."

As more red scales appeared on Natsu's body, the black markings from Devil Slayer Magic covered the right half of Kyoya's body as his right eye turned red.

"Natsu....why are you doing this? Why are you always kind and trying to help me?"

"Huh? Do I need a reason to want to help my friend?"

As Kyoya was closing the distance, he looked towards his opponent. He didn't see the etherious known as E.N.D and he didn't see the monster that hurt Juvia and the others. Meanwhile,as Natsu was getting closer to Kyoya, his image of Vanica was slowly fading. He saw a familiar figure charging towards him. Just as they got close, both of their fists collided as they had one thought.

"I'll save you........Natsu/Kyoya!!!!!"

A large spherical explosion of raw mana engulfed the area. Smoke filled the air as the explosion began to settle. On the ground were two bodies. One having red scales disappearing as the other had black markings disappearing. Both of them were struggling to get back up.

Soon Natsu and Kyoya were standing up, but they could barely stand for much longer. They were slowly approaching each other, struggling not to fall with each step. When they got close enough, they punched each other in the face so hard that they were both sent flying backwards.

They stood back up again and finally caught their breath. As they looked at each other, they gathered up the remaining amount of magic they could muster. As this happened, the very earth beneath them began to shake.

Soon Kyoya and Natsu began to dash towards each other. This last attack, this final strike, will decide this battle. As scales grew on Natsu's body, the black markings appear on Kyoya's body.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!!!!!!!"

"Ice Devil's Zeroth Destruction Fist!!!!!"

Just as the two attacks were about to collide, Kyoya's eyes were wide with shock. In just a moment, before their attacks collided, he saw Natsu smiling towards him. Before Kyoya could react, Natsu said one thing.

"Thank you......Kyoya."

Silence was in the air. As the dust clears, two people were seen standing. As Natsu's fist connected to Kyoya's chest, Kyoya's fist went right through Natsu's body. Blood covered Kyoya's arm as Natsu was in front of him.

"Why.....of all the times to come back to your senses.....why did you choose now of all times?!"

"Hehe. I'm sorry....I was always too stupid to grasp understanding of something til the last moment."

As Natsu took a step back, his blood stained the ground. Soon blood escaped from his lips. While this happened, Natsu saw Kyoya on the verge of crying.

"I'm sorry, Kyoya. Back then....I said I would get strong enough to beat Vanica. But everytime I think about it, it felt like I looked down you, like you couldn't do it."

"Stop talking Natsu. We need to get you treated! Just hold on!!!!!"

"No....I died a long time ago. But with the Book of Zeref and her curse magic, Vanica brought me back to life as an etherious. Kyoya....i'm happy to see how strong you've gotten. That's why....i'll leave the rest to you."

As Natsu said this, he manifested a powerful flame from his hand. As this happened, Kyoya felt a stinging sensation on his left arm. Soon Natsu walked towards Kyoya.

"You already have half......now, i'll give you the remaining half. The power of the Fire Dragon King....I pass it on to you."

"Natsu-...."

"Kyoya....this is my final wish. Grow strong and live."

Kyoya's eyes were wide with shock. Soon Kyoya began to devour the flames that Natsu was giving to him. As he felt some of his magic power returning, he was beginning to feel a surge of power. While this happened, Natsu smiled as he fell onto the ground.

"This.....is my final gift to you. I'm sorry, Kyoya. I'm sorry I couldn't do much to help you. Was I good friend? Do I even deserve to be called your friend after the sins I committed? Do I even deserve the blessing........of having you by my side in my final moments?"

Suddenly Natsu felt himself being hugged by Kyoya. As this happened, he hugged back as Kyoya had no words. All he did was cry as he held onto to his best friend. Soon Natsu said one thing to Kyoya.

"Live. The will of fire belongs to you now. I truly was blessed to have met you....Kyoya....."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't save you!!!! Please forgive me Natsu!!!!! I'm sorry I was too weak to help you!!!!!!"

"Kyoya...you did more than enough. You, Kyoya Fullbuster, are truly....the kindest person."

As Natsu closed his eyes, all that could be heard was the sound of a single person crying. While this happened, Benimaru could be seen flying on his matoi. While this happened, he had one thing on his mind as he saw the final part of that battle.

"Let your tears out as you regain your strength. It always hurts to put someone our of their misery. Kyoya....when you're done, hold your head up high. For it takes the strongest of hearts, to make the biggest of sacrifices."

The battle between E.N.D and Kyoya Fullbuster has finally concluded. The smile of the defeated was accompanied by the tears of the victor. However, one thing is certain. The will of fire has been passed down from one friend to another. That war with the Spade Kingdom continues.
