~Flashback~
A single boy was seen running away from the Spade Kingdom. He had black hair, dark blue eyes, and a necklace, that resembles a sword with a stone in it, hanging around his neck.

As he was running away, he soon fell on the cold ground filled with snow. He felt his eyes growing heavier and heavier. As he looked up he saw someone approaching him.

"What is a kid like you doing here? Don't you know its dangerous to wander around here aimlessly."

He could tell this voice belonged to a woman. When the woman looked at him, she sighed as she grabbed one of the boy's hands as she tries to take him somewhere.

"My home isn't too far off from here. You can rest and eat there tonight."

"Who are you?"

"Me? My name is Ur. It's nice to meet you."

After a bit of walking through the snow, Ur and the boy she found have finally made it to her home. As they sat down, Ur began to make them some tea. As she puts a cup in front of the boy, she started to ask him some questions.

"So then....mind telling me why you're running away from the Spade Kingdom? Isn't that your home?"

".....no. There will never be a day when i call that place home."

Ur could tell by the tone of the boy's voice that this was a sensitive topic for him. She knew if she lets the boy wander off then he would be at death's door in no time. Soon she looked to the side and saw the boy had a grimoire. Soon she had an idea.

"Boy....do you have anywhere you want to go?"

"Not really.....but i heard that the Clover Kingdom was a really nice place."

Ur thought about it for a moment. Sure the Clover Kingdom was probably a better place for a child than the Spade Kingdom, but if the royals see that this boy's Grimoire has a spade on it and find out he's a commoner then there might be some problems. Soon she sighed as she pats the boy's head.

"You know...i happen to be a strong mage. If you want, i can teach you how to wield magic properly so you can at least defend yourself."

"Really?!"

The boy had a bright look in his eyes as he looked at Ur. Seeing this, the woman smiled as she could tell this boy might be a handful. When she looked at him, she soon had a serious expression her face.

"I can, but promise me one thing before i start to train you. If you choose to become a magic knight....use your magic for protecting people. If you find friends and comrades that you trust, then don't hesitate to reveal your grimoire and fight with all you have if it means to keep them safe."

"....i promise."

The woman smiled as she heard this. She could tell this boy had potential, but for some reason she felt an ominous presence from him. Soon she decided to ask the boy for something important.

"Now then, if i'm gonna train you, can i at least know your name?"

"Sure. My name is..........."

~Flashback ends~
"Kyoya!!!!! Hey Kyoya!!!! Do you want to fight me?"

"Dammit Luck!!!!!! I'm trying to sleep."

It was as noisy as ever in the Black Bulls hideout. As everyone was waiting for their captain to come back from the Magic Knights entrance exam, they were just doing their own thing.

"Come on, don't be like that!!!! Just fight me once, okay?"

Kyoya smiled as he puts a hand on Luck's head. Luck didn't know what was happening until he felt his head being frozen in ice. Soon Kyoya walked away as Magna started to scream.

"Kyoya!!!! What the heck?! Do you know how long it takes to melt your ice?! My food will get cold by the time i'm done!"

"Then you better get to work, Magna."

As Kyoya walks away laughing, Magna grumbles as he starts using his Flame Magic to melt the ice. Soon Kyoya started to lie down as he was waiting for the captain to return.

"At least try to put on some damn clothes!"

"What are you talking about Magna?"

As Kyoya looked at himself, all he saw was that he wasn't wearing a shirt anymore. He had a look of confusion as he looked at Magna.

"Quit overreacting. My pants are still on this time."

"That's not the problem here, Kyoya!!!! You shouldn't be losing your clothes all the time!!!!!!!!!"

"Shut up already!! Don't make me take you out along with those lame sunglasses!!!!! Who the hell wears sunglasses indoors!!!!"

"Oh you wanna fight?! Bring it on!!!!!!"

Just as Kyoya and Magma were about to fight. They suddenly had a shiver up there spine. As they turned around, they saw their captain had just smashed the wall.

"Shut the hell up."

Soon all of the Black Bulls got in front of their captain as they listened to what he had to say. As this happened, Kyoya looked beside the captain and saw a boy around his age standing next to him. Soon the boy introduced himself.

"I'm Asta from Hage Village!!!!! And i'm gonna be the Wizard King!!!!!"

"Is loud the only volume he speaks in?"

Kyoya sweatdrops as he looked at Asta. Though when he looked at him, he didn't sense any mana from the boy. Soon Kyoya began to think to himself.

"This guy doesn't have any mana, yet he wants to be the Wizard King. The kid's got passion, that's for sure. As long as he doesn't lose that, he'll make it far in this world."

Kyoya doesn't feel like its right to look down on the boy. After all, he's a commoner too and he was a foreigner. If anything, he thinks he and Asta will get along. But that won't make Asta less annoying in his eyes though.

After being introduced to the Black Bulls, Magna decided to make Asta go through some initiation. As this happened, Kyoya nodded as he was ready to go to sleep. However, he was stopped by Finral as he puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Hold on Kyoya. Don't you wanna see if he'll pass this thing?"

"No thanks. I'm sure he'll tell me all about it tomorrow."

"You know i'm still your senior, right?"

After saying that, Kyoya went to his room in the hideout. As he lies down on his bed, he put one of his hands on the necklace around his neck.

"If you trust your friends and comrades, then don't hesitate to reveal your grimoire and fight with all you have to protect them."

Kyoya remembered the words his teacher said to him. As he held onto his necklace, he said one thing before going to sleep.

"I'll try Ur.....but even so........i wish you could've been here to guide me a bit longer."

~In Kyoya's Dream~
As Kyoya was asleep, he found himself in an open field. As he looked in the distance, he saw a woman sitting underneath an umbrella. When he looked at her, the woman said one thing.

"This is the beginning of your journey. I hope you show me something interesting and realize your potential. Now then, your tale shall begin. I hope we meet each other very soon, Kyoya Fullbuster."
