Chapter 1 golden shenanigans

Prologue

In a galaxy similar to ours there were four men in the void of space. These four men were sleeping and resting for an unquantifiable amount of time. But then all at once, they opened their eyes. This mere movement of their eyelids started the expansion of the the entire universe. Creating not only space and time but Creating four galaxies size of a universe. The north, west, east, and south galaxies. Each man went to their own galaxy and expanded it in their own image. Then the four Brothers decided combine their power to create a universe thousands of times bigger than our own to hold their homes. The brothers then left their higher dimensional forms to live among their own creations. But doing this ment they only kept a little less than a fraction of their original power but with this fraction, they became immortal still. This would be a great mistake. As 3 billion years later, a creature called Asmodeus made its appearance. A demonic black serpent from a higher plain of existence than even the four men. The Asmodeus was so large that it could wrap around entire solar systems. The four men used All their remaining power to create a object called the 4 moons to seal the creature away. Causing the 4 moon to split into 4 and a giant explosion that Spread across all the galaxies. This small act gave 0.5 Percent of the entire galaxy magic. And as more and more children were born. Chapter 1

**Chapter 1: The Hunt for Treasure**

The sun of Vomas, a dim red dwarf, cast an eerie glow over the barren landscape. Jagged black rocks jutted out of the ground like the teeth of some ancient beast. Among the desolation, two figures trudged forward—a small, rat-like being with a jittery demeanor and a taller, humanoid figure, their long blonde hair glowing faintly in the reddish light.

"Az, are you sure this is the right planet?" Rat's tail flicked nervously as he glanced around, clutching a battered map with shaky hands. His voice wavered. "I mean... it *looks* like the place, but it also looks like the place that'll eat us alive."

Az sighed, their voice calm but tinged with mild irritation. "Yes, Rat, this is the right planet. You checked the coordinates ten times. The map matches the terrain. Relax."

"Relax? Relax?!" Rat squeaked, his eyes darting around. "Do you know what happens when I relax? Something explodes, *usually me*!" He pointed an accusatory claw at Az. "And you—you just stand there looking all smug, like you know we're going to survive!"

Az smirked, brushing a strand of hair from their face. "That's because I do know. You panic about everything, and yet here you are. Still alive. Still squeaking."

Rat groaned, muttering under his breath as they continued walking. "Why do I even listen to you? You're taller, sure, and you can shapeshift and all, but that doesn't make you the boss."

Az raised an eyebrow, though their voice remained even. "I thought the plasma pistols made me the boss."

Rat froze, staring at Az's holstered weapons. "Okay, *fair point*."

The pair reached a ridge overlooking a massive crater. At the center stood an ancient structure, half-buried in dust and rock. Strange symbols glowed faintly along its surface.

Az knelt to examine the scene. "This is it. The treasure's inside."

Rat leaned over the edge, his ears twitching. "Y-yeah, great, but uh... do you see those?" He pointed at several strange figures patrolling the perimeter of the structure. They were humanoid but cloaked in shadow, their forms flickering as if not entirely solid.

"Guards," Az muttered, their eyes narrowing. "Figures. Nothing's ever easy."

Rat tugged on Az's sleeve. "Az, buddy, pal, best friend... Can we *not* do this? I mean, what even *is* this treasure, anyway? Is it shiny? Does it explode? Will it eat us?!"

Az grinned, drawing one of their plasma pistols. "Treasure doesn't eat people, Rat. Probably. And if it's shiny, it's worth it. Besides, you need to work on your bravery."

"Bravery is overrated," Rat mumbled, reluctantly drawing a small device from his bag. "Fine. But if we die, I'm haunting you."

"Deal," Az said with a chuckle, stepping forward toward the crater.

Rat followed, muttering under his breath. "Why do I always agree to these things?"

As they descended into the crater, the shadowy figures turned toward them in eerie unison. Az smirked, their shapeshifting arms extending into sleek, blade-like forms.

"Looks like we're making new friends," Az quipped.

"Friends?!" Rat squeaked, activating his device, which began assembling a small, spindly creature out of nearby rocks. "You've got a funny idea of friendship, Az!"

Az raised their weapon and prepared to strike. "Stay close, Rat. This treasure isn't going to dig itself up."

And with that, the battle for Vomas's secret treasure began.

Az and Rat crouched low, inching their way through the rocky terrain toward the ancient structure. The shadowy guards continued their patrols, their movements unnervingly synchronized.

"You sure this is going to work?" Rat whispered, clutching his cobbled-together rock creature like a makeshift shield.

"It'll work," Az replied confidently, their golden hair tucked beneath a hood they'd improvised from their shirt. "Just stay quiet."

"Quiet is my middle name," Rat muttered, though the clinking of his claws against the ground betrayed his nerves.

Az rolled their eyes, then motioned for Rat to follow. They slipped past the first two guards, whose glowing eyes scanned the horizon, unaware of the intruders.

When they reached the structure's entrance, Az pressed their hand against the glowing symbols etched into the wall. Their shapeshifting fingers morphed slightly, tracing the patterns with precision. A faint hum resonated, and the doorway creaked open.

"How do you always know what to do with these old ruins?" Rat asked, his tail flicking nervously.

Az glanced back with a smirk. "Years of experience—and a bit of luck."

Inside, the structure was dimly lit by pulsating golden veins running along the walls. The air was heavy, charged with an ancient energy that made Rat's fur stand on end.

"Let's find this treasure and get out of here," Az said, scanning the room.

Rat followed close behind, his small rock creature scuttling along beside him. "I've got a bad feeling about this," he muttered.

At the center of the chamber, a pedestal stood, surrounded by shattered remnants of what once must have been an elaborate artifact. Among the debris lay a small, broken golden object, glinting faintly in the light.

Az approached cautiously, their plasma pistol drawn. "This is it," they said, picking up the object. It was jagged and incomplete, but its surface was inscribed with intricate patterns.

"That's it?" Rat whispered, peering over Az's shoulder. "We came all this way for... a broken hunk of gold?"

"It's not just gold," Az replied, their tone serious. "It's old. And powerful. Trust me."

Before Rat could respond, a low rumble echoed through the chamber. The golden veins on the walls flared brightly, and the shadowy figures outside let out a collective, inhuman wail.

"I knew it! I knew this was a trap!" Rat shouted, his rock creature huddling behind him.

"Move!" Az barked, tucking the object into their bag and sprinting toward the exit.

The guards outside had gathered, their forms shifting and expanding as they surged toward the structure. Az fired a few warning shots with their plasma pistol, forcing the creatures to scatter briefly.

Rat scrambled after Az, his rock creature breaking apart and reforming into a small barrier to slow their pursuers. "I hate this! I hate this so much!"

"Keep running!" Az shouted, leading the way back to their ship.

The pair burst out of the structure and bolted across the crater. The shadowy figures pursued them relentlessly, their flickering forms growing more solid with each step.

Az and Rat reached their ship, a patched-together vessel that barely looked spaceworthy. Az slammed the hatch open, and Rat dove inside, panting heavily.

"Go, go, go!" Rat screamed, flailing his arms.

Az vaulted into the pilot's seat and fired up the engines. The ship roared to life, lifting off just as the shadowy figures closed in. One of them leaped, its clawed hand scraping against the hull as the ship shot into the sky.

As they broke through Vomas's atmosphere, Rat collapsed into a chair, clutching his chest. "I am *never* listening to you again," he wheezed.

Az chuckled, pulling the golden object from their bag and turning it over in their hands. "You say that every time."

Rat glared at them, but the tension in his expression softened as he stared at the artifact. "So... what is that thing, anyway?"

Az leaned back, their eyes narrowing as they studied the intricate patterns. "I don't know yet. But something tells me we're about to find out."

The ship hurtled into hyperspace, leaving the cursed planet of Vomas—and its shadowy guardians—far behind.
