"Dude that's not cool. She's alone. Her stupid ass date left her." I frown and snap, walking over to Heavenly who was crying at the time. What happened?

"Hey, Heavenly, it's Lily." I tell her, rubbing her back as she seemed upset. Hell, I would be too. Who in the right mind would ditch their date? Especially someone as beautiful as her?

"Lils, I don't want to rui-" She tries to protest, but I stop her right there.

"No, Heavenly You aren't going to ruin my night. Come on." I stand up, and offer my hand to the clearly sad blonde. She's my best friend, and my job is to make her happy.

"I'll be your date. I bet you'll have fun, Foote." A small smile appears on my face, and I could see one on hers too.

"Aha! I got somewhere. Come onnn Heav. We gotta make this night fun! Besides, we're freshman. This night and our senior night are supposed to be the best night of our lives." My eyes never leave her gaze, despite my pleas for her to come and have fun.

"Lily."

"Heavenly."

"You're an asshole."

"You love me and you know it. Come on sexy, we'll make sure that asshole knows he's missing out on a great girl." I wink at her, smiling wider. Was I hardcore flirting with Heavenly Foote? Possibly. But hey, it might get somewhere. Don't judge.

"You're too much, Lily." Heavenly finally seems to cave into my big blue eyes, which makes me chuckle. The song playing was a fast paced one, which was awesome.

Heavenly seemed to not be into it as she saw our entire school in a grindfest. It seemed to be Heavenly's thing, especially to impress the boys. I wish she didn't do that, to be honest.

"Hey, come 'ere." I offer to her, and she doesn't protest. Huh.

We end up dancing pretty quickly and a few songs later, it's slow. I know what this song is.

Heav loves this song. It's something she wanted at her wedding. Don't ask how I know that. I totally didn't request that song. Pshh. Anyway.

"Heavenly." I offer my hand as the DJ called for the couples to dance. It's a couple song, at least according to him.

"Did you request this?" The beauty in front me asks, and I couldn't help but blush. Dammit, she knows me too well.

"You are a cheesy motherfucker." Heav laughs, and I smile even more.

"There you go. There's that smile I was waiting for." I tell her, moving swiftly to the right. I'm trying something. Maybe it's too soon, because of her date ditching her. But she deserves more, and I want to prove to her that she deserves the world, and I wanna give her that, you know?

"Lily, what are you doing?" Heavenly asks me, and all I can do is laugh and smile. Because she has no idea... right?

"Nothing." Is all I say, pursing my lips as we get to the door to go outside.

"Follow me."

"Are you being adventurous, Lily?" I could hear the amusement in Heav's voice.

"Hush, let me just show you, alright?" I tell her, nervous as all hell. I just hope she likes me back like Noah was saying she did. If he made me embarrass myself, I'll kill him. Maybe not literally but frick.

"Kay." I bring her far away from everyone, but it was close enough for us to go back if needed.

"Heavenly, I have a question-"

"I may have an answer, Lily."

Silence for a soild six minutes.

"Will you go out with me?" I ask her as the breath was sucked out of my own body.

"Yes."

"Oh thank God."
