Everyday People Character

Role:
The Cyborg

Real name:
Jedidiah Knightley

Superhero name:
Red Star

Age:
25

Powers/Abilities:
He has enhanced, superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, vision, speed etc. so basically all his reflexes, sense, and anything else needed to keep him up and going in a fight. He also has a small chip in his head that gives him a small database in his head. Mostly used for fighting tactics and weapons though unbeknownst to him, he has a mind link with Iris.

Personality:
He's very much an outsider. Since his accident he's more snappish and withdrawn, not getting along with other people. He gets angry easily but has to control himself since he can really hurt someone. He's a headstrong male with no worry for anyone else. Though deep down he does have a soft spot and understand the pain of other test subjects since he gets nightmares of mementoes from his time being tested.

Flaws:
Jed can't really do distanced fighting, other than guns. He sucks at it. He has insomnia from his nightmares so he's constantly up throughout the night, doing other things to keep himself energized and staying awake. If he doesn't clean his arm like he's supposed to and keep up with it then it can rust. He can't fighting with more than one person, it's hard for him to concentrate on his enemies, but he's training to get better at it. And lastly he doesn't trust his teammates like he should.

Backstory:
Jed was born and grew up as a normal kid. His dad had left after his little sister was born, when he was about five. So his mom was constantly busy, trying to support her two children. Though his normal life changed one day when he was eight. He was kidnapped and tested on. Several years later when he was fourteen he was dropped off at home with no memory of the past six years, only thing he had remembered was about his new found abilities with a strict rule not to tell anyone. His mom had been grief stricken over the years of him being gone, not wanting to believe he had died. She was so happy when he came back that she made sure to spend as much time with him as she could. Now fast forward to when he was sixteen. His mom had decided to take him and his sister to go on a skiing trip. Sadly there was an inconvenience and his arm had gotten stuck in the lift, messing up his bones and muscles before the frost bite took the rest of his arm. It couldn't be saved so it had to be amputated. He had saved up for years, along with his college money for a new metal arm that he always hides when he's out in public, which he finally got when he was twenty three.

Likes:
His food, if he isn't training or working out he's most likely eating. It's the one thing he can do without having such a big problem. Training himself both mentally and physically. Visiting his family. Animals, it's like the only soft side you'll really see of him, you may even see him smile.

Dislikes:
He absolutely hates snow, the cold and the memories, his phantom pains and the fact that he can't sleep. He hates not being able to do normal things because of having a metal arm and superhuman abilities. Most people.

Fears:
Losing his mom and his sister by both death and them leaving him. He has a fear of drowning, finding the thought terrifying to not be able to get air into his lungs.

Other:
N/A

Face claim:
Sebastian Stan
