"You prevented me from hitting my head!" I said as Leo helped me up. "And you are the one who fell!" he said. "Geez what a coincidence!" said Nate as he came closer to us. "Thanks!" I said, shyly. "For saving me both the times." I continued. "Anytime." he said and rubbed the back of his neck. A knock on the door broke us from the atmosphere all of us were lost in  and Reina came in, looking excited. "I forgot to tell you kids something fun and exciting!" she said as we all left the room and went to the balcony open to the sky. "What is it mom?" Leo asked her. "Tomorrow! You're all going to the Christmas Bash!!" she said and squealed like a little girl. "Woohoo!" said Greg. "Sweet!" said Nate. "Wait up! Does this mean I have to see Everly again?" Leo asked. "Oh yes sugar. Sadly!" Reina patted Leo on the back and went back inside. He groaned. But then Amaya spoke. "Oh well, look on the bright side! We'll be together and KC's turning 19!" she said. "Amaya!" I hissed. The boys turned to me and gave me a questioning look. "Don't look at me like that!" I said. "You were born on Christmas?" Greg asked me. "How did we not know!?" Nate said. "You know what? I'm just gonna go back in!" I said and in a flash, shape shifted to a normal sized phoenix and flew to my room. 

Next morning, I was woken up by barking and a lick on my face. "Uh Banner!" I turned over and saw someone standing in front of my bed. "Hey sleepyhead! Merry Christmas! And Happy Birthday" I heard Leo say. I shot up straight to the ceiling. "It's Christmas! and my birthday" I whispered. "It's Christmas and my birthday!!" I said loudly, dived down to hug Leo so hard he almost fell. "Well someone's filled with energy! Come out when you're done!" he laughed. and went out, Banner running behind him. Literally floating in the air, I got ready for the morning. "Merry Christmas everyone!" I said and floated out of my room. "Merry Christmas darling! Happy birthday!!!" I heard Reina by the Christmas tree. "Merry Christmas Mr. Anderson!" I said. Banner came running behind me. I picked him up. "Who's a cute dog!! You are!" I said. Then I felt two arms squeeze me. "Happy birthday Sparky!!" I heard Amaya. With no effort, I pulled her up with me. "Merry Christmas!!" I said. "Now you kids come quick for breakfast! After that it's present exchange time!" I heard Mr. Anderson say. "Let's go! The twins are waiting for you!" she said. She got back on the ground and pulled me. I was still in the air because I was so hyped up. I mean like, you don't turn 19 every year do you? 

The twins wished me and after breakfast, we all huddled around the Christmas tree. "Come on kids!" Reina said. "For you all, I made something! Any guesses?" she asked. We shrugged. "It's something you can eat and it starts with a 'C'!" she said. "Cookies!?" I said suddenly like a kid waiting for her candy and she clapped. "Very good!" she said and gave us each a box of chocolate cookies! Ten minutes later, only I was left to give them. "So, my turn!" I said, floated up and went straight into the kitchen. "What are you doing in the kitchen?" I heard Amaya from the hall. "Just give me a sec!" I said back, and from the corner took out the decorative glass jars I had bought few days back. I took it back to the hall and sat down. "Jars?" Mr. Anderson asked me. "Not just jars sir!" I said. I opened each of them and kept them on the floor. "You may wanna move back a bit!" I said and immediately they moved back. 

I felt the air around my hands swirl as I concentrated hard. With a pop and a flash, sparkles filled the room and in each jar was sparks of everlasting fire. "Sparklefire? Is this the famous Sparklefire I've heard so much about?" Amaya asked and picked up one jar. "Merry Christmas?" I said and sat back on the ground, cross legged. "Take one!" I said. The people in the room had always been there for me, that's why, when I was bored or not doing anything, I practiced making everlasting fire, which changed color according to the person having it. For me, it would remain pink, and for Leo, well blue. Similarly, red for Greg and green for Nate. Amaya's turned purple. "Thanks! They're beautiful dear!" said Reina and took one. The fire turned white and I smiled. "Merry Christmas again!" I said. "Thank you for the exchanges!!!!" said Reina. "I have one last favor for you kids! Of course, only if you're up for it!" said Mr. Anderson getting up. "Sure! We've got nothing to do today!" said Leo. "All the kids of the apartment have been asked if they can come to decorate the party area for the Bash. How about you kids go as well?" said Reina, taking cue from her husband. "Sure! Let's go!" said Leo and zoomed straight to the door. "Come on KC!" he said, zoomed back and pulled me with him. 

"Woah someone's in a hurry!" I said but I pulled him back in cuz I wanted to change into something more comfy. After changing, the others were not done yet, so the two of us went down first to the party hall in the clubhouse.
