"HOLY CRAP!" he shouted. I flew up into the air, and with a swoosh went for a dive. In half a second, I had got him on my back, him holding tight. "WHAT THE-" he shouted again as I soared into the sky. "This is amazing!!!!" he shouted. I couldn't speak in my phoenix form but he softly ruffled my feathers as we landed somewhere away from the cliff. "You're beautiful..." he whispered and he put his head on mine. "Thank you." he said. I made a satisfying sound, but my ears could hear ruffling. I stood protectively in front of Leo. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked. I pointed my head in the direction of the sound. "What?" he asked again. Guess he couldn't hear it. Unexpectedly one wolf jumped straight from behind him. "NO!" I shouted and returned to my original form, my hands filling with fire. I pushed it away, though tried not hurting it. I heard Leo swish his hands and saw two strings of water. "What is wrong with them!?" he shouted. "I don't know but I think that they're after something!" I shouted back. "Yeah! Us!" he replied. 

Half an hour later, exhausted, we sat back to back on a rock. "Think that's the last of them?" I asked him, panting. "I hope so." he said. "Come on. Let's go." he said and gave his hand to try and pull me up. My legs were hurting because of the running while fighting, so I took it and he pulled me up. We were almost to the car when there was a chilly wind blowing strong. "Why i-is it so c-cold?" I asked and rubbed my hands to try and keep myself warm but it doesn't work. It was pitch black and I couldn't even make out the trees. "Hey, do you hear that?" he asked me. There was a sound of metal slicing the air growing louder and louder. And then I saw it. "MOVE!" I screamed and with force, pushed him behind me and something cut straight through my body. It was the same blade Black Fox had used in the air a few days ago. I was forced backward to the wall of rock, and then fell down to the ground. Breathless I got up, shaking. "HOLY CRAP KIARA!" Leo came swiftly to me, and helped me up. "How are you-" he said panicking. "I'm fine." I said, and started making  my way to the car, slightly limping. Again, he came running fast next to me. "Why did you do that? You could have died!" he said. "But i didn't." I said and got inside. He stopped talking and I leaned back and closed my eyes.

After a slow long drive, we finally reached home. We both had blood on us as we got out. "Hey KC?" Leo stopped me before I went into my room. "Thank you." he said. I looked up at him and gave a smile. "Anytime." I said and went to my room with a solid headache. 

The week went on like that, but I still had occasional headaches because of the huge blade that cut through me that night. There was a gash across my stomach, but I had not told Leo about it, because I didn't want to worry him. It was slowly healing, but the more I used my powers, it hurt. So I had restrained from using fire. Saturday evening, I was doing my homework when there was a knock on my door. "Hey KC! You there?" I heard Greg. "Yeah! Come in!" I said still concentrating on my essay. The was a click and Greg came in. "Hey! How are you! Haven't been able to talk to you all week! What are you doing?" he asked and sat on the chair next to me. "Completing my homework." I said. "Aaaand done!" I said and closed my laptop with a soft snap. I turned to him and smiled. "How are your classes going?" I asked him. "Great. Me n Nate are enjoying our class. Anyway, the reason I came here is to ask you whether you're free?" he asked. "Yeah I am. Why?" I asked and went to the window to close the curtain. "We decided to start mission discussion." he said. "Coming?" 

"Sure!" I said and walked down the stairs to the first floor with him.
