It was the next morning. The sun was shining through my windows, and I could hear people from outside walking and talking.
I sit myself up from my little bed, and yawn, stretching out my arms.
My (e/c) eyes were still feeling heavy. I mean, I did just wake up. So of course I'd still be feeling a little bit tired ya know?
I look around my little room, that was lightened up some by the suns light peeking through my wooden blinds. Leaving there some patches of darkness, where the light couldn't reach.
I stand myself up, and yawn once again, and rubbing my eyes.
I noticed it was silent downstairs. Must mean my parents are gone somewhere. Probably going to buy those fruits I accidentally dropped yesterday...
Oh! I have forgotten what all happened yesterday! I remember, the bridge fell. And there was a silent man and dororo! How could I forget that?? Anyone could remember that- right?
And I am honesty quite surprised no body else noticed the bridge collapse 'till later on.
I change into some new clothes, and head on downstairs. I was to go help and work at a shop. One that sells tapestries and pottery. I help make tapestries. Every so often would I make pottery.
I found it to be a rather pleasing job to have. Its not usually stressful, and I enjoy the small crowds that like to gather around to watch as a sew the fabrics into a beautiful tapestry. I don't make much, cause the shop doesn't get much attention unlike the bigger and fancier ones, but it's enough.
And I was already heading out the door on this beautiful morning. The sun was shining, and the skies were a soft blue. Hardly a cloud in the sky. And everyone looks to be in a good mood. I have high hopes that today will be a great day. And maybe I could forget about my father leaving again in a couple of days. And ease the stress of him leaving off my shoulders just for a bit...
I walk along the dirt roads, avoiding bumping into the people passing by, and the children running along playing their little games. And again, it all seemed good. No worries, no fears, and no stress. Yeah. That's how its going to be.
Until - "oof-" I accidentally ran into someone isnt that great??
The person I ran into wore a hood over their head, so I could not see who it was exactly. "Oh my goodness- sir I am so sorry!" I quickly apologize to the hooded man. So. Today is off to a great start.
But the man didn't say a single word.
"Hey, (y/n)!" I hear a smaller voice behind the man, a familiar voice. I looked down to see the matter, and it was dororo.
So if this is dororo, then is the hooded man the silent man from yesterday?
"Dororo? What are you doing back here?" I questioned, a little surprised that I manadged to bump into these two. What are the odds?
"Oh! My pal here and I decided to explore the little place a bit- what I mean by that, I mean HE wanted to explore.." The kid continue, muttering the last part whilst crossing his arms and looking up at the man.
The man took off his hood, revealing that typical emotionless expression he always seemed to have. And he just kinda stared at me. That did make me feel a little awkward, but at the same time I felt a couple butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
"Uhm-" I cleared my throat to try and break the awkward tension I was getting, and crossed my arms. "So! Its good to see you two again!" I gave them both a wide grin, a little sparkle in my eyes.
"Its nice to see you too!" Dororo gave back the friendly grin. While the man of course kept his emotionless expression. Not to be rude, but why was he like this all the time?
"And may I add, did you ever happen to get the mans name?" I knelt down just enough, so it was better for dororo and I to be face to face.
"Nope! Of course, I did try to ask. But all I got was complete silence! Maybe someday he'll finally say something eh?" The little boy answered my question, a littlest shrug to his shoulders.
I probably didn't have to ask that question. Knowing fully well that the man cannot speak. And again, it makes it hard not to wonder why he was so different from any ordinary person. And why he was wearing that mask from yesterday.
"Hm, right.." I spoke in a mutter, standing myself up. Then turning my head to the man. Though he appeared to be blind, we made eye contact. Like he knew exactly where I was, And recognized my silhouette.
I gave him a polite smile, though he probably wouldn't see it. I felt it would be rude not to smile.
"Right. I should probably get going.." I say as I start to back up from the two, pointing to where I should be going.
"Aww... Already?" Dororo had a little pout to his lips, slouching his back.
"Yeah! Tell you what, after im finished with my job, maybe I could meet up with you guys again?" I suggested. "Besides, I don't really work for long today" I knelt right back down, making eye contact with the boy.
Dororo sighed, and nodded. "Yeah, sure. I'm sure that Mr.silence here would love to see you again, isn't that'd right?" He smiled and gave the man a small nudge. But getting no response, other than him looking down upon the boy.
"Oh, right. I keep forgetting you can't talk- anyways. We'll be seeing you later I suppose!" Dororo waved to me, and lifting the mans hand and made him wave a goodbye.
I chuckle and smiled. "Yeah. See you two later!" I waved back goodbye, and walked off.
Okay. Maybe running into them was a good thing. Making today a good start.
