Ch.7 Dark. (PART 2)

Y/N looked to the side for a moment in thought, then back to her sister. That's when everything stopped. Even the birds stopped mid-air, not falling, just frozen in that moment.

I teleport to Grillbys with a snap of my finger, blue with tiny hints of yellow create faint splotches in my vision which almost immediately clear as I begin the teleportation process.

Then, I hear them before I see them. It's usually the other way around.

Incoherent, soft whispers surround me-

Sans' POV

Shadowy gray figures circle me. My sight is blurry so I can't quite make them out. A few monster-looking ones and and three human-looking ones. They all reach out to me, their whispers getting stronger.

I can't move, and if I can't move, I can't finish teleporting.

"FfF....fFo-orG-ottttttttt3n."

"R-rrr-R-e.......MEembEeEe..Rr-R-R=R . . . "

Shitshitshitshitshit-

Suddenly I am yanked away from them and moving very fast. I turn the best I can to see in front, I'm able to just make out a glimpse of my rescuer but a severe jolt of pain shoots through my head and I groan. It's gone as soon as it's here and is replaced by an almost blinding, small, silverish-white and black light that shoots out far in front of our still fast moving form, then swirls, growing larger and larger until it's big enough to fit us both. It forms just in time for my rescue to jump in, pulling me with. I find myself involuntarily turning towards them, they gasp and my eyes are covered.

"Shut your eyes, please." It's the voice of the thing I met in Grillbys.

"ya goin' to tell me who you are now?"

"I thought I told you, my name does not matter at the moment."

"yeah okay, i'll roll with it. anyways, why'd ya come save the skelly in distress?" (The way I have to type Sans' dialogue bothers me SO much.)

"Because, Sans, you are important. You are an important aspect of this timeline...well...of every timeline, really. But even if you weren't, you can hear. You can hear the other side. And that's important."

"important how? and i thought the fact that i could "hear the other side," which i'm assuming you mean the readers, was harmful to you?"

"I am not provided with such information, and yes, it is harmful to me, but that is not a choice I'm allowed to make."

"then wh-"

"Hold on." I feel us land and she sets me gently on the ground....floor? In a sitting position. "You may open your eyes now, I am concealing my appearance so you will not be harmed."

"gee, thanks." I open my sockets to see a figure in front of me with a big cloak resembling river persons', only this one is a medium to dark gray instead of dark blue. "oh look, it's river person." I know it's not but I'm just starting a conversation.

"Hm? No, I'm not River Person."

"then what is your name?"

"I told you-"

I stand up, "no, you told me what I already know, I can hear the readers, i'm "important" to the timelines. don't you think i know these things already? you seem to be the all knowing type so i'm pretty sure you did."

"I only know what I've seen and heard, just like everybody else."

"except you're not like everybody else, are you? you talk about yourself like some all powerful being. so riddle me this, river creature, what are you?"

"That's not im-"

"just stop with this bullshit and give me real. answers." My eye flares a dim blue just as a warning. They don't appear fazed by this.

"I can't."

"why? wait let me guess, your not allowed to? please, give me a break, will ya?"

"I can't."

"hehehehe okay," my left eye flares a bright threatening blue with the occasional stream or spark of yellow, I stick out my right hand and try to grasp their soul. It takes me a moment longer than usual but I finally grasp it and pull it out of their chest. It's a dark gray color with a weak, black glow surrounding it and a faint green crack in the middle, they're lifted off the ground. "you mean you won't."

With my other hand I rub my forehead, "say, here's an easy question. do you like games?"

"I-"

"good. let's play a game then." I take a few steps closer to them and squeeze lightly on their soul. "You're going to give me the answers I want. Or." I squeeze a bit harder, "We're going to test just how long it takes to pop an unknown soul."

Ta-da! It's shorter than intended but I like where it is right now so I'm just going to go work on Ch. 8 :)

GO ANSWER THE QUESTION FROM CHAPTER 7 PART 1!!!!!

I won't be adding more plot including Y/N and the gang until you do so...

Only like 1 person has answered and I have 1.72k reads....that means there's plenty of you XD thank you btw!

Here's the question in case you don't want to go all the way back.

-----

"Please, Y/N? How about this; you go home and rest, I'll go with them!"

I can't go through this again.

Well...

Maybe I should let her go. She'll be in a crowd, and a crowd of monsters no less. I heard monsters have magic. Maybe she'll be safe....but...it's a big maybe.

I look at Sierra, open my mouth and say....

A) "You know what? That does sound fun. Better than being home by myself, let's go."

or

B) "Maybe another time, sis, but I don't think I'll make it to the house on my own without spacing again."

Y O U D E C I D E (Literally...comment your answer.)

-----

So have fun with that, if you guys comment your answers soon enough I might be able to bring things back somewhere in the next chapter.
