Dark.

It's so dark.

All around me, the darkness laughs, and the silence screams. The blank eyes of those who have "gone" peer into mine. They take amusement in their treacherous torment. Sometimes, they whisper to me. They whisper things I don't understand.

I don't want to understand.

My main focus right now is the revenant.

But why..?

Tiiiiiny tidbit of a chapter, I know. But I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the hiatus haha. My absence was not without reason, and I made sure to answer as many comments as I could as they came in. Which I appreciate so much by the way! 😜

Darker..

Yet darker...

Darkness everywhere I turn.

Silence follows, no sign of a threat.

And yet I find myself panicking, my heart pounding in my ears, my breathing rapid, my chest throbbing, just like it had that day. Come to think of it, something like that, whatever that glow...that strange feeling...whatever that was, it hasn't happened before.

A pressure builds in my chest, making it difficult to breathe. It keeps building until I'm brought to my knees from the lack of oxygen, and a blue glow emits from in front of me. I take a second to catch my breath before lifting my head. A floating, glowing, blue heart hovers in front of me.

My eyes adjust to the darkness, thanks to the glowing object in front of me.

That's when I realize, I'm not as alone as I thought.
