Sans

Pound pound.

'waffles are cooooolll'

'what's your favorite color?

'...Okay...I admire the randomness but your timing is terrible.'

I sigh, something was wrong. Y/N was being fidgety, constantly shifting her eyes around the room, and when she attacked that little girl, it even took me by surprise.

'Waffles are definitely cool, and my favorite color? Purple, believe it or not. Sure the color blue practically describes me, but I like purple more. My blue hoodie was a gift.'

The little girl...

She's new.

Alphys walked over to her, "A-are you alright, h-human girl?"

The girl giggled and stood properly. "I'm alright, thank you. My name is Daisy. Daisy Suomonev." She smiled.

"D-Daisy? What a....what a nice name." Alphys seemed a little uncomfortable.

"I'd like to think so. Thank you, Alphys." She turned to face me and began walking my way.

"Ho-how did she know m-my name...?" Alphys muttered. Undyne noticed her unease and walked over, wrapping an arm around her.

Daisy crouched down to pick up the box of Junior Mints. She walked up to me and opened them. "Junior Mint?"

I look into her eyes briefly and time slows as I look. It's as if I'm looking through a window. One that shows the soul. What I saw makes my smile twitch. Nothing.

I saw nothing.

Every human has a soul trait that overpowers most and this one is new, I'm not sure what it is. Her soul is orange, but a faded, dull, unpleasant shade. I try to check her stats. They seem to be hidden from even my line of sight. My...er...metaphorical gut...tells me she's no goody-goody. Tells me she's not what she seems.

I look behind her when something appears in my vision.

It's Creature Forgetful themself. They seem to be looking at me. Their soul floats in front of their chest, the green crack seems to have grown slightly.

There's a pounding in my head. We all know what this means.

'What is it now? Is the sky falling?'

'(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N).. is the savior who needs saving.'

'...and we're back to this.'

The crack on their soul grows slightly. Suddenly three faint distinct cracks are heard and the green portion of the soul is much larger. They stumble to their knees a moment but stand back upright, their soul vanishing. "It's not over, Sans." their voice, though nearly indescribable, sounded desperate. The world sped back up and they vanished.

I  was quick to spit out a reply,"nah, i jus' ate, kid."

"No you didn't." she frowns slightly.

"you don't know that." I arch a brow.

Daisy hums and sighs. "I suppose so.." she walks out the door with a little skip to her stride.

"What a....what a strange little human." Alphys muttered.

"What is it with everyone and this damn kid? She offered us candy, she was kind, she's an innocent. Y/N had no right to act like that. That's my job! Fuhuhuhu!" Undyne laughs a moment. Mettaton looks at her weirdly. It dies down, "I'm only joking! In all seriousness, Y/N was out of line."

Mettaton sighs, "I do so agree with Alphys. The poor darling didn't even look at me. Is she color blind to the colors I'm wearing? Oh how tragic!" Mettaton goes on a dramatic rant.

I can't help but wonder where Y/N ran off to in such a hurry. Or where Papyrus and Sierra went.

Everyone's giving me these weird warnings of sort that don't really make any sense, and it's making me feel uneasy.

Very, very uneasy.

Last time I felt this way was during Genocide.

Y/N

I was driving this crappy red neon.

Red lights? Screw 'em, they could kiss my ass at the moment. I couldn't care less right now.

I made a sharp turn onto our street when my head began to pound painfully, causing me to slam my foot on the breaks, my face hitting the steering wheel.

Great. My nose is broken.

The pounding in my head overpowered that pain though, causing me to slowly pass out despite every nerve in my body arguing against it.

Everything was black.

Three painful pounds throbbed in my head and whispers were heard.

'(Y/n), you need time.'

'Tick, tock..'

'(Y/N), You'd better hurry... before it's to late...'

'Tick, tock..'

'(Y/N). . . No time left. . .'

Whoever they were, their warnings flooded my mind.

My panic rose.

'Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick-'

"-tick tick tick..." my eyes flew open and I sat up a bit too quickly. Dizziness overwhelmed me. I held my head a moment before starting up the ignition once again. Blood was dripping from my nose and it throbbed, but I ignored it. The engine revved and I pressed the gas petal. The tires screeched and I was speeding down our street.

The house was really a duplex almost at the end of the street. Nothing fancy. Tan and brown with crappy neighbors.

We got bottom half. Probably a bad idea.

The car jolted and screeched to a stop in front of the house. I pulled the clutch into park and opened the door. Getting out, I ran up the stairs and tried opening the door on the right side.

Locked.

"Shit.." I whisper before looking at the window. I hum and run back out to the car, opening the drivers seat and pushing a button to pop open the trunk. I walk around back hoping to god the person wasn't hiding a body and dig through the contents. Grocery bags, soda, and juice barrel boxes galore.

Nothing.

I check what's in the bags; broken eggs- whoops-half-pint milk jugs, frozen steaks and pork neck-bones, lunchables, chips, canned goods, frozen pizzas and vegetables, bananas squished by everything else-another whoops-and it hits me. The frozen steaks.

I grab one and rush back up the porch, not even bothering to close the door or trunk to the car. I ram the steak against the window, smashing it, and use the same-now ripped open-package to get rid of dangerously sharp shards. Hopping through I'm met with a dark living-room. Well, it would be dark if what was left of the daylight wasn't shining through the window.

Our light brown, wooden floor had something on it I couldn't quite make out. I pulled out my phone and turned on the flash light since the light switch was all the way across the room....so far...

I aimed the light  in front of me. I crouch down to pick up the tint object in front of me; a heart-shaped Junior Mint. I frown and drop it back on the ground, tracing my light across the trail of them leading to the hall.

Standing, I was about to follow it when I look down at my feet and notice that I'm standing on something. I stepped back and examined it.

A red shoe print.

My breath hitched and I ran my light back up the trail, now seeing little red shoe prints all over the floor.  Reaching down, I swiped my middle finger across one. The sight of the dark, wet, substance made my heart leap in my throat.

I bolted down the hallway in a panic, following the Junior Mint and shoe print trail to the last door on the left. I tried opening it to find it locked.

"Sierra?!" No answer. "Screw this." I back up and ram my shoulder into the door a couple times before kicking it with all my strength. Letting out a huff I run in and find the light switch.

The lights flick on and...

The lights flick on and I clasp a hand over my mouth.

I chuckle, "You guys...painted my room?"

Sierra  turned and shrugged, paint roller in hand, "It was long overdue for a paint job don't you think?"

Nate turned towards me as well, his black hair falling in his soft brown eyes. He whips his head to move it so he doesn't have to use his paint covered hands. "Honey, you honestly think we would let you live in such a boring, un-decorated room for much longer? You haven't even hung up your posters yet!"

"Dude, I don't even have any posters.." I arch a brow.

"I rest my case." He turns back towards his wall, grabbing a roller and continuing to paint.

I shake my head and sigh, looking back at my sister.

Sierra gave me a caring smile, "I hope you don't mind red..?" She tucked a dirty blonde strand behind her ear, accidentally smearing paint on her face. She doesn't seem to notice and the strand falls back in place due to how short her chin length hair is.

"Nah." I smile softly, stuffing my hands in my pockets and leaning against the white door frame, "I love red," I lie.

Her hazel eyes twinkled in happiness, "Good! 'Cause it's almost done." she ran over and hugged me.

I laughed, "Sis, did you plan on redecorating me too or..?" She leaned back examining my now red-stained hoodie.

Nate looks over his shoulder, "You better not have ruined that hoodie or so help me..."

Sierra looks at me and snorts, "Run?"

Nate looks at my hoodie and I can practically see the steam coming out of his ears

"Er...yup!" I grab her wrist and yank her out of the room, starting to "run". I half-ass it though and she knows it. She rolls her eyes and picks me up, slinging me over her back in a piggy. Nate comes charging after us like a bull attracted to red.

Heh, what a coincidence.

"You're both dead to me! I'm throwing away the dress I made you Si!

That was last timeline's turn of events.

I remember it now.

I saw that girl.

That brat.

And I panicked, rushing to the house.

Only to find Sierra and Nate redecorating my room.

That wasn't how she died last time.

Now?

I drop to the floor, trembling hand still over my mouth. Tears are rolling down my face and I bite down on my hand to muffle a scream of agony.

I should be used to this.

I shouldn't be effected by this.

'No! How dare I think that? This is my sister. It's supposed to effect me!'

I shakily move to stand and walk to her but whimper and sit back in the same position.

As if moving would prove that the scene in front me was real.

I already knew it was. That's the funny thing about grief. You wish so badly for someone to be lying to you, the universe perhaps. Yourself.

I slowly move to my hands and knees, crawling to her broken, bloody form.

She had multiple stab wounds and blood was leaking from each wound as well as her mouth and nose. Dried tear streaks were visible on her cheeks.

She was sickly pale and the scenery as well as the cut ropes tied around her wrists explained why.

Above us was a hook drilled into the ceiling, under it; a bucket. The inside of the bucket was stained red as well as the paint rollers next to it.

The walls were red.

Not a nice, smooth, vibrant red you get from paint, but a splotchy, uneven, dark, disgusting red you get from, well, blood.

In front of me was a wall coated mostly red aside from a big spot in the middle. Words were written in blood on that spot.

I hope you don't mind red?

Pulling out and flipping open my pocket knife I cut her bruised wrists free of the ropes and pull her head into my lap. I run my fingers through her hair a few times before gently pulling her pink and orange ribbon free from her hair and putting it in my pocket. I hug her and begin sobbing loudly, not caring who heard me.

My chest throbbed and pounded.

No not my heart, my heart was on the left obviously. The suffocating pounding in my chest making it difficult to breathe was in the middle. I screamed curses, I screamed whatever came to mind, but couldn't comprehend what was being said.

Finally, everything in me, including the throbbing in my chest, burst out of me in one loud, long, scream that would most likely take my voice for the next day or two.

Sans

We had found Papyrus at home. He said Sierra went home as well to grab something.

He hadn't seen Y/N or Daisy.

We all decided to split up. Only reason we decided to look for Y/N was because Undyne thinks she may be a threat. Alphys says her emotional state is unstable at the moment and that from her calculations on humans, that can lead to some very rash and irresponsible decisions on her part.

I don't think that's the case and originally wasn't going to go. Pap wanted me to make sure she was alright. Took him a minute but he managed to get me out the door.

I was outside walking towards Grillby's thinking maybe she ran there.

I had no clue.

I don't know this girl.

Only thing I know? She has a sister, a knack for bad jokes and memes, a journal she wrote a bit in earlier, and she got really anxious around that kid over at Muffet's. She seems to be short tempered and has something to hide behind that faint smile of hers she wears most the time, but that's just my first impression.

I passed the corner I met the two girls on when a shriek could be heard. It didn't stop for about ten seconds. In those ten seconds I teleported a few times, trying to pinpoint the source.

I ended up on the sidewalk down a street. I grunted in more of discomfort than pain and clutched my chest where my soul was. It was pounding rapidly for a few moments causing me to hunch over. Suddenly another shriek sounded, and it was coming from a house nearby. This one was broken and sounded more like a cry.

At that moment the house seemed to shake and the windows shattered in a blast of blue that ignited my own magic involuntarily. My eye blazed and so did the house.

It stopped shaking and the cry turned into sobbing. A faint blue glow could be seen.

My soul ached and seemed to be magnetic to it.

I huffed, my magic wouldn't go away. I teleported inside the house -but not before stopping and eyeing the frozen steak strangely- and followed the trail of chocolates and shoe prints. I didn't have to follow it anymore when I heard the sobbing and saw the glow down the hall. I was about to teleport when I noticed a black object on the floor.

I walked over to it and picked it up by the strap. It looked to be Sierra's camera, but the lens was cracked. Sighing, I shoved it in my pocket and walked down the hall.

The sobbing stopped and the glow vanished half way there. My magic did as well. When I turned to the open dark room I heard some thing shuffle.

And for a moment before I ignited my magic for light, I could've sworn I saw a faintly glowing blue eye looking at me. Not flaring like mine does, just glowing.

When I ignited my magic, filling the room with blue light, my pupils disappeared.

The blue glow of my magic made most the room purple, but I know my colors. The smell didn't help much.

My pupils reappeared when they landed on the two forms of Y/N and Sierra. Only one heart beat could be heard in the room, and it was beating a bit faster than I'm sure's normal for humans. Her head was down, green and blue striped hood up, but I could see the tears dripping. In her lap she cradled Sierra's head.

The sight of her alone made my pupils flicker out and in.

We're more alike than I thought, me and Y/N.

Instead of a nickname I decided to use a better approach.

I walked over to her and crouched down to her level, "Y/N?"

Only response I got from her was a sniffle.

"c'mon, pal, you can't stay here."

She runs her hand through Sierra's hair.

"listen, I know what it's like, okay?"

She scoffs. Yup, definitely listening.

"i know what it's like to lose someone you care for. but right now, you being here, it's not helping anything. she's still gone, you'll just be torturing yourself." I place a hand on her shoulder. She shrugs it off.

"don't be like that, come on."

"..."

"please. i don't want to be the bad guy here."

She hugs her sister closer.

I sigh and close my sockets a moment, the glow in the room leaving with it before I opened them and wrapped my magic around her, lifting her. She gasps and chokes out a no. I use the same magic to pry her grip from Sierra, and gently lay the dead girl down.

Y/N wiggles around, crying softly, her voice sounding weak and broken. I pull her out of the room with my magic. Once we were of the house, she gives up. I take that as a cue and set her on my back.

Her arms hang loosely over my shoulders, I hold her legs in place so she doesn't fall. I stop at the top of the porch steps and turn, trying to lighten the mood a bit, "care to explain the random frozen steak?"

She buries her face in my hood.

"guess not. don't worry, i'll 'let it go' for now."

"Heh.." she let's out a short, muffled laugh.

I grin in slight victory.

"guessin' this was your house?" I continue down the sidewalk figuring she wasn't quite ready for questioning or any real type of social interaction.

Shut up, I don't count.

She nods into my hoodie.

"heh, well it's not exactly fit for livin' right now y'know? you could probably crash with us for a bit if ya want?"

No response.

" 'sounds' good to me." I say hoping to get another positive reaction.

I get a huff but nothing else.

Not sure whether to call that a negative or positive reaction so I leave things at that.

We were silent the rest of the way.

The feeling of being watched, however, never left.
