Chapter 10

Last chapter Kyna's thwarted from getting her brother out of the club before shit go down due to hesitation and the appearance of one of his no good so called friends.

With plan distract, lure lackeys away and corner Bellart out the window, it's time for plan B. Make shit up and hope Nica will be there in time when shit goes down.

Oh shit.

What should she do?

Drake glanced back at her and shrugged. "Don't know who the fuck she is. She just grabbed there then stood there looking stupid."

Why that sonvua...She only stood there because she hadn't given a thought to what to say to him exactly. To gain his trust.

"Who you? What you want with our money man?" He asked as he sidestepped her brother to peer closer at her.

For the life of her she didn't know how to answer his questions. Not like she can say 'oh, I'm his big sister and I've come to capture a multi-dimensional escaped prisoner who's stolen my body.' That's the kind of thing that'll put you away in a padded room or so medicated you stop being you.

Thankfully, her brother unwittingly saved her from answering when he yanked on his friend's shoulder demanding his attention.

"Yo man. I've come for my sister."

"Man, I haven't seen your sister," said Ossie, rolling his eyes as if he couldn't be bothered.. Momentarily distracted from her, he stepped up into her brother's space, raised his arm -and for a moment Kyna thought he was going to hit him- and wrapped it around Drake's shoulder. Giving him an affectionate shake like a big brother would to placate his little brother out of whatever mood he was in.

Kyna knew there was no way Ossie felt anything more for her brother than boss and lackey. But seeing them like that hurt. Drake was tall for his age so they both stood nearly head to head. If no one knew or fet the undercurrent tension between the to they would've thought Ossie and Drake were siblings with more than likely sharing one parent between them. Or were cousins.

Kyna remembered she was often confused as being the younger sister when it was the other way around. There were also times they were mistaken as fraternal twins.

Her brother didn't appreciate being treated as if he was stupid. He threw Ossie's arms off his shoulder. Ossie's eyes immediately turned hard and cold. Drake didn't notice or didn't care. He stepped up to Ossie, closing the space between them until they were face to face.

Kyna stayed rooted to the spot unsure what her next step should be. She fidgeted from one foot to the other, her eyes glancing back to the entrance she and Nica went through. She had to do something and quick.

Drake wasn't known for having a hold on his temper. His temper, usually so close to the surface, would easily erupt at the tiniest infraction. Like as she feared happened next.

In a voice edged with all the hurt he'll unleash on Drake if he continued further in disrespecting him Ossie told him in a clipped tone, "Jus' cuz yur sista gone crazy don't mean-"

His face twisted in fury as his arms shot out and grabbed Ossie by the collar of his tee. It happened so quick there was no way she could've prevented it. Besides it was usually best not to jump straight into a fight. Kyna looked around desperately searching for someone, anyone, like a bouncer or the bartender to break it up. Instead all she saw were people on the the fringe of the dance floor and around the bar whipping out their phones to capture the fight brewing in front of them.

"Don't fuckin' lie to me," roared Drake. Then his voice lowered as he choked out, almost as if he was struggling to keep what sounded like sobs at bay. "I. Know. She. Here."

Baffled Kyna stared at her brother's face. He was angry. He always seemed to wear that particular expression with the same passion to wear Roca-wear. It was the one beneath it and his glassy eyes that through her for a loop.

He was worried about her. He came here to bring her home...and he was going to the shit beat out of him. Or worse killed if what Lumerio said about these guys were true.

Kyna shook her head and moved forward when she faltered. She spied Nica amongst the crowd of people watching and filming Ossie and Drake. He gave another of his imperceptible shake of his head then nodded his head back.

Kyna couldn't believe it. He was telling her in some silent body language code for her not to interfere and come his way. Asshole.

Her brother was in trouble. She hadn't been much of an older sister for some time. Not this time. He came here tonight to save her. And so, she'll save him right back.

With that, she ignored Nica and marched forward. When she reached them and idea quickly formed inside her head. Lumerio said they were into illegal shit and Kyna was betting that dealing drugs fell under that umbrella. If so, then the vials Ula gave her would be needed much earlier than she thought.

"Hey." She stepped into the fray but both guys were too in their "I'm stare you down so back off motherfucker" contest to notice her. "Hey," Kyna repeated again shouting over the music, a Nicki Minaj song by the sound of it.

As if he couldn't be bothered continuing to do stupid sht, Ossie glanced down at her as he shoved Drake away from him. "What?!"

"Your boy over their works for you right?" Ossie's eyes narrowed suspiciously at Drake then back to her. He didn't trust her and with just went down with her brother, he was in no mood. So when he opened his mouth, Kyna cut him off from the 'fuck off' she knew she'd get and told him, "I'm a freshman at- well used to be- anyways used to be a bio major and well I like to experiment.

Damn, she was blathering.

"Bitch, what you talkin' bout? Move." Ossie made to move past her but stopped at her words.

"I do pharmacology." One eyebrow arched and even in profile she knew she had his attention. "I like to experiment. Kinda got in trouble for it."

He turned fully to her, Drake at his back and completely forgotten, which he didn't appreciate. Drake's arm reached out for Ossie's shoulder. At the same time Kyna moved in close, pressing her chest to his and raised herself on her toes. She turned her face to the side of his head, her hands on his arm to steady her body and said into his ear, "Made a new drug thought ya'll might like."

She felt his arm around her waist. He pulled her so that they were more front to front and Kyna internally gagged at the bodypart currently pressed onto her torso. "Is that right," he asked with a gleam in his eyes she didn't want to explore.

"That right," she answered as she pulled gently away from him. She took a further step back and crossed her arms. "For a price."

Drake stared ominously behind Ossie and felt the same wave of feelings behind her from Nica. She neither looked towards him or behind her. She only had eyes for Ossie and that's where she kept them. Kyna couldn't give anything away that she wasn't who she claimed to be.

A desperate college freshman who might've gotten caught using school facilities for her own personal, illegal activities. And so is coming them for money, mostly to hide.

After a few seconds of sizing her up and Kyna pretending she wasn't nervous at all, Ossie smiled a disturbing you'd see on a snake sated after it its meal of mice. Kyna had a feeling she wasn't the mouse and didn't appreciate it at all. In fact it was the other way around. Especially when he invited her to his and his partner's offices in the back.

Kyna's doll lips tipped up in a grim smile and she followed behind his lanky form. Their 'office'

Happened to be what Kyna was sure used to be a storage room by the lumpy, stacked cardboard and wooden boxes pushed up against one wall.

The other wall, either knocked down by man or time, came up to her waist with jagged and crumbling pieces of concrete protruding out of it. The missing top half replaced by glass that didn't even reach up to the ceiling. So they still had a good view of the club and bar. As well as the music floated over and down from the sizeable gap between ceiling and glass.

Whatever they were doing, these guys didn't care who saw. It was out in the open and for plain anyone to see. Further proof was when Ossie had walked in - Kyna trailing after him - on his buddy Tinna with pants down at his ankles as some girl straddled and gyrated on top him.

From their scent heavy in the air, and between her cries and his cursing, there was no doubt what they were doing. Disgusted, Kyna turned her head away wishing to god her magicked doll body hadn't been blessed with the gift, now a curse, of sight, hearing and smell. And focused with laser precision on the baggies and stacks of money scatter on the table they were using as a makeshift desk.

One good thing about it at all was at least she didn't walk through and watching her body napper doing what the girl was doing with her body. She'd met Ossie and Tinna only twice. Once was already too much. But she'd never forgotten the lascivious gazes of their eyes on her.

Kyna shuddered. So far, Bellart had her body for several days. So far she hadn't thought or wanted to think about what he could've gotten up to since he stole her body and stranded her on a different plane of existence.

At least one thing she knew for sure was that Bellart had better things to do than mess around like these two.

The couple grunted. Kyna heard a smack followed by a squeal. She waited for several moments until she thought it was safe, turning her head in time to see the girl give both Ossie and Tinna open mouth kisses. With a nod of his head at the table, Tinna told her 'go ahead,' and the girl dashed forward, picked up two bags and left the room.

But not before Kyna noticed the almost dead and sunken eyes. Waifish and not the acceptable model body type, the girl passed her as if she didn't see her. And she probably didn't. All she saw were the two bags she paid for. With her services rendered it was time to enjoy her spoils. Nothing else mattered.

Angry Kyna turned back to the two, channeling her rage and helplessness towards them. She didn't know the girl. She probably been messed up, doing drugs and what not, long before she met them. They weren't helping either. Worse, they'd even dragged her brother to be part of the problem of that girl and others like her.

And for what? Greed? Power? Money?

Tinna stood, pulled up his band and buckled his belt as she fumed while Ossie lit up a discarded joint. By the time he sat back down Ossie brought him up to speed in between puffs and smoke rings.

When both of their eyes were focused on her as if she was some little rabbit, them a predator, Kyna released a deep breath. Ready for the performance of a lifetime, she unclenched her hands from her bag strap and stepped forward.

Vowing she'll narc on them as soon as Nica gets Bellart and her body returned, she reached inside her bag and pulled out one of Ula's vials.

She gave them a bright smile. Kyna held the vial between her thumb and forefinger by her head and told them, "Made something you might like."

Today's chapter is a bit short but hope you're enjoying it. And continue to enjoy it as Kyna's story winds down to its conclusion.

Kyna's reckless plan failed to consider certain scenarios. That people were...people. Stay tuned to read what happens next.
