Curtains
Curtains show just a glimpse,
Never the true picture and
Neither the false one.
We too hide behind curtains,
Showing just a part of ourselves-
Neither the true image, nor the false.
We clutch the fabric tightly
Terrified of others seeing us,
Terrified of revealing who we truly are.
And then time passes,
And we merge with the fabric.
She was merging I saw
And sadly I could not rip the curtain
For time had to choose the moment.
But neither I would silently watch
So she merged half.
