Chapter 38: Nosy Little Teenagers

Chapter 38 already..wow..that's great! I can't believe it, can you?

I'm thinking there's gonna be around 43-45 chapters, including an epilogue. And then the third book, which will be sooner than I want it to be. XD I feel that this series is flying by!

Edward Norton as Jackson's father to the side!

NOTE: I do NOT own the picture nor do I claim I do. That goes to it's rightful owner!

Also to the side: 'Infinite' by Arshad!

NOTE: I do NOT own the song, lyrics, or video nor do I clam I do. All those go to their rightful owners!

Enjoy!

I smile down at the smiling figure in my arms. Her soft, cream-colored hands reached up at me, wanting to be closer. Jennifer, the little girl, was the loud and giggling one of the two while mister Levi was the quiet, gazing one.

They were both beautiful.

Jordan made faces at Levi and talked to him from the hospital bed, and Levi actually smiled back.

The twins, and Jordan, were almost ready to go home after a week and a half. It was great that they could be released soon, because then I would be able to show Jordan the rooms Arch and I worked on for the past few days for the two.

Arch was very content and happy with the two, but sometimes I see a glint of sadness whenever Eric, the stillborn baby, is brought up. Jordan gets sad as well, but she is very grateful she has Jennifer and Levi.

I loved to spend every spare moment I could with Jordan, Arch, and these two little ones. I hoped they enjoyed the company as much as I did.

Jennifer yawns, blinking her now sleepy looking eyes and snuggling into my chest.

I smiled more.

--

I dropped my bag by the door when I got home and shuffled upstairs.

I enter my bedroom, kicking off my shoes, jacket, jeans, and shirt.

I heard a chuckle from the bed and snort. "Hello, Jackson."

Jackson chuckled again. "May I ask why you're flinging clothing everywhere?"

"No." I walked to the closet and pulled on some running shorts and taking my bra off. I then put a tank-top on and shuffle to bed and let myself fall face-flat on it.

"Tired, are we?" he asks, amused.

"Yes. Shut up," I mutter back, waving my hand in a 'whatever' motion without looking up.

Fingers grazed my back as he pulled the blanket over me. "How are the babies? Jordan?"

I look up this time and turn to look at him, propping myself up on my elbow and smiling, "They're good, great actually. The doctor says they're eating well, sleeping well, haven't shown any bad signs, and are breathing well. Jordan's fine, she's just eager to go home."

Jackson rubs my arm thoughtfully. "It's good to hear everyone's well after all."

"Yeah," I agreed, but frowned, "Except Jordan feels bad that she made us cancel our honeymoon early."

"We came on our own accord," Jackson reminds me, rubbing his chin. "She didn't make us do anything."

"She still feels bad."

He raises an eyebrow. "Considering she was giving birth early and lost one of the babies?"

I shrug, twisting my wedding ring on my finger. "I tried to tell her it was all good, but she's too damn stubborn."

Jackson cracks a smile. "Reminds me of someone I know very well."

"That's true," I agree stubbornly, "she's just like me."

"No, you're just like her," Jackson corrects. "You picked up her stubborn attitude."

"I can't disagree with you on that one," I admitted, leaving my wedding ring alone and putting my hands under my head as I turn so I'm facing the ceiling. "I did get it from her."

"Like sister like sister."

"Mmm."

We fall into a comfortable silence and it lulls me to sleep.

--

I step out of the shower and dress in some skinny jeans, combat boots, and a long sleeved v-neck shirt witha  jean jacket and a nice scarf. I was going over to the hotel Lucy and Quince were at so we could spend time with each other. They'll also most likely interrogate me.

"Where are you going to be?" I asked Jackson as he puts his belt on, facing the mirror. I smiled and wrap my arms around his waist from behind.

"With my parents," he tells me, smiling as well as he takes my arms in his hands and turns so I'm up against the wall. "But of course, we could cancel both of our plans and stay home..alone."

I considered the idea with a smile, but sternly reminded myself I wanted to see my two best friends and talk to them while Jackson should be with his parents.

"I don't think so." I smirk and release myself from his grasp. "Nice try, though."

He scowled playfully. "I would've thought you would choose me."

"I considered it," I admit as I straighten his shirt. "But we both already made the plans. Besides," I add slyly, "we still have tonight."

He winked and kissed me. "See you tonight, love."

"Love you."

We walk out together and get in separate cars, driving off.

I turn the heat up as I drive through Dragon's Cove. It's really cold today, which doesn't surprise me to be honest.

It takes a bit to get to the hotel, but I soon make it and make my way up to the room.

I knock on the door and I heard Lucy yell, "It's open!"

I walk inside, making sure to close the door behind me.

Lucy and Quince were sitting on the couch, staring at me with expectant looks on their faces. Lucy was in jeans with some rips in them, high heel boots that are black, and a short sleeved black silk shirt with cut out sleeves. She had her hair pulled over her shoulder. Quince had on some jeans as well, a pair of brown flats, and a brown sweater. She had her hair in a bun.

And they were grinning like idiots.

"You look attractive with those faces," I comment playfully, setting my bag down and taking off my jacket. "Really."

"Get you're ass over here," Lucy says affectionately, making grabby hands at me.

I laugh and walk over to her. As soon as I was close enough she snatched my arms and pulled me down between her and Quince. They both wrap their arms around me, squeezing me tight. "Hi," I wheezed.

"You were gone to long," Quince mumbled in my shoulder, squeezing tighter.

"I'm sor-ry," I huff, patting her back while Lucy puts her face in my other shoulder from behind.

Quince says, "It's not okay."

"Guys," I gasp. "Can't..Breath."

"Oh." She released me, letting me breath. I had to pry Lucy from my shoulders.

She pouted. "Hey. I wasn't done hugging you."

"I need to breath," I retort, smiling.

"Are you done yet?" she asks, making Quince laugh.

"No. I have to breath to live, Luce," I say very slowly.

She scowled. "On second thought, I don't miss you."

I grin. "Yes you do."

"Lucy admit it," Quince added, "you were literally jumping off walls."

"I can't help it!" she whined. "I haven't seen my best friend in like, two weeks."

I smiled at them. "I missed you guys, too."

Lucy rolls her eyes. "Yeah yeah, so did we. Enough with the sappy crap!"

I groan. Great, they were going to pester me about the honeymoon.

"Was it fun?" Quince asks kindly.

"Did you two do the deed?" Lucy asks, a mischievous gleam on her face.

"Was it beautiful?"

"How many times?"

"Okay, okay!" I slap my hands on their mouths. "I'll answer your questions. Yes, it was fun, and yes it was very beautiful."

After I take my hands from their mouths, Quince nods, smiling. Lucy glares at me with the 'stop bullshitting me' look. "You didn't answer my questions!"

I stared at her. "Why do you care whether or not Jackson and I did..things?"

"Because I need to know if you're still a prune or not," she replied, looking at her nails. Quince raises an eyebrow.

"Come on, Luce, be polite of her privacy," Quince scolds, then says, "If you're gonna ask her, make sure you use very sophisticated words."

"Oh, what do you know about sophisticated?" I shot back at her, trying not to laugh.

Quince huffed. "Enough of it."

"Sure."

"Seriously!" Lucy whines. "Did you or did you not do it?"

"Oh fine." I slam my head on the back of the couch. Good thing it was soft. "Yes, we've done it. More than once, actually."

"Ooh!" Quince squeals, shaking my arm. "How many times? Was it good?"

I blushed and put my hands in my face. "You two are nosy as hell."

"Answer the question," Lucy commands sternly, but I could feel her body shaking with laughter.

"Five, I think," I mumble beneath my breath, my cheeks growing hotter by the minute. "And yes, it's good."

"Jesus, Faye," Lucy spoke, "You are definitely not a prune."

"Oh shut up!"

They laughed loudly.

--

Aww poor Faye xD Nothing's private between her and her girls.

I'm glad this is a longer chapter! I plan on putting another one up soon!

Until next time, beauties!
