"You look beautiful," Mom whispered.

I smile back, tentatively. "T-thanks, Mom."

She smiled wider, patting my hair. It was done up in one of those flowery like buns and a single strand of hair hung over my face. It was braided and matched my outfit ever so perfectly.

"You nervous?" she finally asks, curiosity getting the better of her.

"Yes," I admitted, feeling lots and lots of butterflies. I'm marrying Jackson today.

I felt nauseous.

"It's all right," Mom tried to soothe, patting at my hair again as I stared at myself in the mirror, as fear prickled me like little needles.

I groaned. "I think I might get sick."

"Not on your dress you won't, young lady!"

"I can't exactly help it."

"Shush!" She chirped as Harmony stuck her head in and gave me a tiny nod.

I nod, my arms shaking. Dad appeared and took my arm his as Mom and Harmony disappeared out the door.

"Ready?"

"No."

"Me neither."

"Not so happy marrying your little girl off either?" I wanted to ask, but I kept my mouth shut.

**************************

After the wedding, we still had the reception. We sat at the main table in the smack middle of the reception hall, while the stage faced us along with other tables. Jackson and I had chatted with a few family friends.

The tension between Warlocks and Dragon Riders had seemed to fade for the moment. It's as iff there wasn't ever any tension between them.

"Hmm," I murmured, looking around. Quince and Lucy were giggling to each other, every now and then giving each other a kiss or a peck. I smiled warmly at them.

Jackson followed my gaze and then chuckled. "Never thought they'd be together, in all honestly."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my gaze flicking from them to Jackson now.

"Well," he said, tilting his head, "for one, I thought Quince had a think for Kenneth."

I glanced at Ken talking to a girl who Jackson introduced me to as Jade. Jackson's ex-girlfriend.

She didn't like me very much.

Jackson left us alone for a moment and what happens is this:

"So," I said, clearing my throat as I tried not to reel back under her withering glare, "How are you?"

"Good. I guess." Her jaw was clenched, teeth gritted as if stopping herself from saying something she might regret. "Yourself?"

"Good." She still continued to glare at me.

"Do you have any idea why you're married to Jack?"

"Who?"

"Jackson," she said, raising a blonde eyebrow at me.

"Oh. Right." I pondered the question carefully. Very very carefully. "..Er..You don't know?"

She sighed impatiently. "I wouldn't of asked if I knew."

"Right," I muttered, shifting awkwardly. "Well, basically, so you guys can stop killing our dragons our parents decided to marry us off.."

"And you don't love each other right?" Her expression was hopeful.

I felt a feeling, an unfamiliar feeling, rise up inside of me like a predator.

"We do," I said sharply. "We actually have been dating for a few months."

She looked disappointed and before she could say any more, Jackson came over and said, "Thanks for waiting, love."

"No problem." I didn't take my eyes off of Jade and she didn't take her eyes off me. We were not happy with each other.

Jackson placed a kiss on my shoulder, much to my satisfaction and smug look at Jade, and giggled at him. "You promised to behave."

"Mm," he murmured. "True. But when this is over.."

"Jackson! We have people here." My cheeks where warm.

He chuckled.

Jade was glowering at us, her fists slightly balled up.

Jackson stared at her. "You alright?"

She looked shocked at his expression. Curious, not concerned.

"Fine," she hissed, then walked off.

And thus, I sat there gazing at the two.

Ken was shooting me dirty looks and Jade shot me a large smirk.

"I guess not," I murmured, looking away.

I wasn't jealous of the two, I was angry at the way Ken's been acting. He acted passive when I was back from being kidnapped.

I don't expect him to welcome me with open arms, though, I guess.

"What the hell's up with them?" I hissed. I glared at them as they were flirting.

"No idea." Jackson sounded frustrated as well.

"Ken's been an ass lately," I told Jackson, scowling.

Jackson sighed and shook his head. "Let's not worry about them right now, okay? It's just you and me."

I nodded.

He kissed me.

"Good." His finger brushed my cheek lovingly. "You, my love, are so beautiful."

"That was random."

He chuckled. "That's your response to me calling you beautiful?"

"Yes."

He chuckled again.

I heard someone clear their throat through the microphone and we looked up. My father was up there, trying to get our attention. Everyone sat down and looked up at him.

"Hi, everyone. I hope you're enjoying yourselves tonight," he started, his eyes gazing at all of us.

"I'd like to say a few words," he went on, "with some of Faye's and Jackson's closest friends and family."

Murmurs went through the crowd as Dad tapped the microphone. "Okay. Faye when I first saw you in that wedding dress I could not believe how grown up you were. It was only yesterday where I was chasing you around the house trying to keep you out of trouble."

I felt a stab of nostalgia and sniffed a little.

"Jackson," Dad went on, "please take care of my daughter."

Jackson raised his class, nodding slightly.

Next up was Mom. "Oh m beautiful girl," she started, "how hard it is to let you go. You're just so gorgeous and amazing. I'm so happy that you can spend your life with Jackson."

I smiled at her.

Lucy skipped up. Yes, she skipped.

"Okay," Luce said, her voice confident. "About ten years ago I met Faye on the playground in elementary school."

There were a few chuckles of amusement and I narrowed my eyes at her. Where was she going with this exactly?

"We met because, yes I'm admitting this, I tripped her on the way to the swings."

People laughed, making me glare hard at her. She only grinned at my expression and continued, "She told me she hated me when she was able to stop her crying. I told her, 'Aw don't be like that.' and you know what she did? She shoved me down onto the grass."

More laughter. Another glare.

"And ever since then I couldn't stay away from her," she finally finished, "so Faye, remember this: You'll never escape from me."

People clapped.

---

Jackson shook me awake. "We're in Hawaii, love."

"Oh." I shot up. A grin spread across my face. I got jittery and I looked out the window. "Ohmysweetgoodness."

He grinned at my wide smile and shocked face.

"How long have we been in Hawaii?"

"Half an hour. I carried you off the plane and got our bags."

"Har, har," I said dryly. I smiled widely and straightened my v-neck shirt.

We were in the jungles of Hawaii, driving along a dirt road.

"How far away is the nearest town?"

He shrugged. "A twenty minute drive, I think."

"This is so beautiful," I whispered as we came up to a beautiful two-story log cabin. It had lots of windows, and we were on a steep hill. Below was the beautiful forest and a river.

"Jackson." I turn to him and hug him tightly. "Hawaii for our Honeymoon? It's..amazing."

"I knew you'd love it," he whispers back, nipping my ear.

I shuddered in a good way and pull away, feeling dazed. "W-want me to help you?"

He shrugged as he went around to the back of the car. "If you want. Although, I wouldn't mind showing off my muscles."

"Show off," I repeat.

He grinned.

Once we were inside, which was absolutely amazing by the way, Jackson dropped the stuff.

The entry way greeted us, then led to two rooms and one hallway and stairs. The living room had lots of open windows and beautiful furniture.

"I wanna show you something," Jackson whispers, taking my hand in his gently.

"Show me," I murmur, letting him pull me out of the living room.

He led me up the stairs and down the hall. He smiled at me, then pushed open the door.

My eyes widened at it. Red and white candles scattered the room and red flower petals did as well. There was a large walk in closet and bathroom, a flat screen TV over a big dresser and a queen sized bed.

"Cheesy," I tease him, though I loved it.

"Really?" He frowned. "I'm sorry. I didn't-"

"Jackson." I wrap my arms around his neck. I press my lip to his for a second and whisper, "I love it."

He grins, taking my chin in his hand and pressing my lips to his. He leads me to the bed and I lay my back gently on it. He hovers over me.

"Are you..sure about this?" he asks, concern glowing in his eyes.

"One hundred percent," I answered honestly. I was ready.

He pressed his lips to mine.
