"Shit shit shit!" Quince looked up at me as I climbed the rock wall in the gym. "Faye be careful!"
"Quince," I say, looking down at her, which wasn't very far. I was not even close to the top yet. "Calm down, would you?"
"No, I won't calm down," she snapped. "You shouldn't be doing this!"
"Oh for dragon's sake," I growled. "It's been okay'ed for me to do this."
"So what?" Quince looked terrified. "What if your wound opens up?"
"Quince!" I scowl down at her, "Get a frickin' grip, please. This isn't hurting me."
I grip the rock thingy above me and haul myself up, placing my foot down on a lower one and eyeing one just above my head. I take my right hand and reach up, grabbing it and pulling myself up more. My foot slipped a little, causing Quince to squeak.
"Faye," she cried, "seriously! This is bad!"
"Quince!" I placed my foot on the rock, licking my lips and studying the rocks above me. "I'm fine. F-i-n-e. Mom and Dad said I'm fine to do this-oh shit!" My hand, being sweaty, slid off, and caught me by surprise. I grunted in effort as I wiped my hand on my jeans and placed it back where it was.
"See!" she yelled up at me. "You nearly fell off!"
"But I didn't," I pointed out to her, climbing higher.
"But you almost did!"
"Oh my gosh, Quince." I look down. "I promise I'll be fine, alright? Nothing bad will happen."
"Now it will because you jinxed it."
I roll my eyes. "I cross my heart; I'll be absolutely fine."
I could tell by her hesitation she was thinking about it, but she kept silent anyway.
"Just be careful," she finally says after a minute.
"I always am." I grip another rock above me and haul myself up farther.

Once I reached the top, waved down to the instructer, and got mysef down, Quince let out a sigh of relief.
"Did I worry you?" I tease her, pulling my hair up.
"Yes." She scowled at me. "It's not funny, you know."
"I survived," I pointed out to her, smiling.
She rolled her eyes at me. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
"Hey now!" I nudge her arm. "Stop being a kill-joy!"
"I am not a kill-joy," she grumbled, shuffling after me out of TTC.
"Wanna visit the dragons?" I asked her, gesturing towards the dragon tree.
She shrugged. "Sure, why not? Have you met my dragon, Bion, yet?"
"No." I shake my head. Quince had mentioned him a few times before, but I've never met him myself.
"Well want to?" she asks, looking at me.
"Sure." I nod and she smiled. We make our way to the dragons, taking our time. It's not like we're in any rush.
"Have you started training yet?" I ask Quince, still walking slowly.
"A bit," she replied with a shrug. "Mostly flying lessons. Simple stuff like that."
"That's cool," I said lightly, but a small feeling of jealousy gripped me. I shook my head furiously. I don't have any right to be jealous, just because Quince could train and I couldn't.
"Yeah, I guess," she tells me, shrugging again. "But Jen was my trainer.."
I stopped, the wind hitting my face. "What?"
"Jen," Quince says again, "was my trainer. Before-"
"Her death," I finished, not meeting her eyes.
"Yeah." She studied me. "You okay?"
"Fine." I look anywhere but Quince's face. "She was my cousin, you know."
It was Quince's turn to be surprised. "Wait..She was your cousin?"
"Yes," I murmured.
"Oh Jesus," she says under her breath. "I didn't know, Faye.."
"It's fine," I said. "You didn't know."
"Faye-" she starts, but I cut her off.
"So," I say in an overly bright voice. "We should get to the dragons."
"Right." But Quince sounded as if she wanted otherwise.
We walked in silence the rest of the time. I knew thoughts were running through Quince's head like a buffalo herd on the run. But it still worried me, did I say something wrong?
"Faye."
I glance at her, listening rather, to the sound of my feet crunching on the dried orange and brown leaves under my feet.
"Yes?" I finally said.
"Listen," she says, "please," she added when I opened my mouth.
I close it again and nod curtly.
"I really did not know Jen was your cousin," she promised. Its as though she was expecting me to be mad at her for bringing the topic of Jen up.
Okay, so I'm not exactly all happy with talking about Jen at all at the moment I will admit that. But I'm not angry with her, it's not like she knew. Besides, if Jen was her mentor then we are both going through the same stage:
Grief.
"And I said it was fine," I muttered, stepping over a large, but flat rock on the side of the trail as we grew closer to the tree. I heard the distinctive sounds of dragons and the flap of wings.
"Faye," she pleads, sounding almost to tears. "Please look at me."
I cast my eyes up to her face, to her dark green eyes and tanned skin.
"I don't know what happened to Jen," she says, her voice cracking, "Only that she was murdered.. That's all I know, and it's really hurting me not knowing who did it or why."
"She was stabbed," I say stiffly, remembering what I was told about her cause of death. "You know that."
"Thanks for reminding me," she said bitterly, and I felt bad instantly. I didn't apologize though, because it's true. No point in denying it.
"I'm just saying," I shot back. We grew closer to the Tree. "Because we know whoever the bastard is that killed her is going to Hell."
The smallest of smiles cracked on Quince's face. "I'm sure there'll be a very special place for them."
"Yeah," I agree, trying to smile back as best I could.
We looked at each other for a few long moments then we continued on.
"Bion won't be in the tree," Quince said. "I think he might be with other air dragons."
I nod and follow her still, not going towards the tree but instead the path that leads behind it.
When we finally arrive there about twenty minutes later, Quince's face mashed up for a moment before going back to normal. My guess is she talked to Bion.
Just then a shadow shaped like a dragon appeared in front of us, and seconds later a dark grey dragon replaced it. It's tail was not thick or as long as Leto's, but more wispy like and had two thick horns curling inwards on it's head. It's eyes were a bright amber, it's legs long and lithe looking with gleaming scales.
"You must be Bion," I speak first, bowing to the dragon.
"I am," a voice replied in my head. "And you must be Faye?"
"Yes," I say to him as he bowed back, it's wings splaying out as he did. He then stood up straight and folded his wings.
"It is nice to meet you," Bion says, his gaze rested on Quince. "Is Quince okay, Faye?"
"We talked about Jen," I told him, "I don't know if you knew her.."
His amber eyes grew sympathetic and sad. "I did, yes. She was kind."
"Well she was, as you probably know, Quince's trainer. And my cousin."
Bion lowered his head again. "I am sorry to hear."
I give a nod of thanks to him, feeling that deep sadness and pain inside my chest well up. "I-I'm gonna go home, Quince."
She blinked at me. "Are you okay?"
"Fine," I reply, pushing my sobbing back as deep as I could and hoping the tears would stay away.
"Okay," she replied quietly. "See you later."
"See you." I rush off, and when I was far enough away I let the tears and sobs out.

I'll try to upload again today beauties.
So tell me: I want your guys' opinion. I notice I'm on chapter 21..and there might be around 40ish chapters in here.
So should I make a third book after this? Or should I do a story on a character you feel needs more attention? Like a novel completely out of the series.
I'm making one on Leto already (READ IT O:) so, who else? :)
Until next time!
