Alessandra's eyelashes fluttered as the morning sun began to peak through the drapes slowly she sat up not wanting to become dizzy if she moved to quickly.  Once awake she set about her morning routine and headed down to breakfast with her siblings and parents but hunger wasn't the first thought on her mind,food had little appeal with her stomach twisting into knots she would be sorted by tonight and the thought terrified. There was so much she wanted to do and it might all be for nothing if she didn't get the house she wanted, there was a point that needed proving and she would be the one to do it. Somehow she managed to make her way back to her room and grab her things along with Sugar Cookies cage her family made their way to Kings cross station where the train was soon to depart the station. Verona put her hand upon Alessandra's head and smiled down at her.

"There is nothing to be scared of sweetheart just run straight at the wall and you'll be at platform nine and three quarters~" she steels herself and charges right at the wall when she came out on the other side she opened her eyes. Stunning was the only word she could think of to describe the sight before her, the grand red engine before her was massive it had black as well creating quite the classic color palette. She picked up her ticket as the siblings vanished into the crowd no doubt heading for the train already.

"I'll write you tonight mum dad and I'll tell you which house I got into take care I'll be home for the holidays~" she hugs them both and then feels their arms wrap around her. It was getting close to leaving so she parted with them and headed into the train looking for a car she was honestly trying to find Blaise she wanted it to be a comfortable ride without awkwardness her heart couldn't take meeting new people at the moment. A sigh of relief passed her lips as she caught a glimpse oh him and hurried over opening the car door and putting her bags away.

"Thank goodness Blaise i was worried that I wouldn't find you my nerves are raw. It's the biggest night of my life getting sorted into a house how did you handle it~?"  She took a seat on the green seat across from him and meet his chocolate eyes with her own. "Honestly I just took deep breaths the staring didn't bother me so much, I mean I would stare at something as hot as I am~" Twitches of irritation ran over her brow as she closed her eyes. "Thanks for the info Blaise I'll keep that in mind but have you ever thought for two seconds that your not the hottest thing on the planet~"

The compartment door slide open and in strode Draco Malfoy with his head held high, on either side of him were what looked to be mountain trolls of some verity oh no wait they were humans. He snapped his fingers and they put his luggage up on the rack. "Alright you two be off with yourselves I have no need of further service at the moment~" the two taller boys nodded and walked off leaving the car in an awkward silence.

"Huh I didn't think trolls were gifted at moving luggage it must be a new service that opened up~" Draco smirked at her. "Think nothing of Crabbe and Goyle their hardly worth mention, good for heavy labor and not much else. I see you've found your way at least your somewhat self sufficient~"

She leans back and crosses her legs as she feels the train start to pull away from the station. "What can I say not all of us have mountain trolls to carry our luggage and perhaps I'm not as helpless as you may think~"

She felt one of them grab her robe and hoist her up. "Now listen here you dumb bint I'm Gregory Goyle a member of Slytherin house and you have no right to speak to me that way you don't even have a house~!"

Draco cleared his throat and Goyle immediately dropped her onto the bench. "Yes boss what is it you want me to crush this pathetic insect~?" Draco simply waves them off and then takes a seat across from her. "That's all I'll be needing from you now leave us I'll call upon you if there is some other minimal labor I need~"  Both boys nod and retreat from the car.  Blaise sighs quietly. "If they had hurt her I would have hexed them you need to keep them on a shorter leash Draco their giving Slytherin a bad name~"

Draco pulled out one of his text books and started to flip through it. "It is getting rather irritating having them around I feel like my mind decays every time they open their mouths I'm ninety nine percent sure their illiterate in fact now if you don't mind I would like to focus on my reading~" Alessandra quirked an eyebrow. "Oh really I thought you would be dying to converse after that owl you sent me last night for someone who doesn't need friends you were quick to respond~" The book slams shut and Draco meets her eyes. "I meant what I said I don't need anyone but myself they will only let you falter in the end I learned that when I was quite young~"  Blaise raises his hand. "Question I thought I was your friend Draco you said I was your best mate what happened to all that is it because your scared of her~?"

The food trolls wheels began to creak through the car and Blaise shot out of his seat heading towards the door. He tripped on his shoelaces however and began falling forward before smashing into the glass and sliding down the door slowly with a ear piercing hair raising squeaking noise. She coughed awkwardly and looked over to Draco.

"Ah so want to talk about what we just saw~?" She saw his brow twitch slightly and he appeared to be getting a headache. "Merlin's trousers I can't get a moment of peace between you and him, fortunately I'm far to graceful for such a fate to befall me~" Smirking she leaned forward a bit. "I bet it would be your worst nightmare wouldn't it strutting down the hall like you own the place then suddenly bam face first in the floor. You could very well fall victim to any manner of tripping charms if your not careful it would almost be to easy~" His eyes narrowed. "You wouldn't bloody dare~" Her eyes dance with amusement. "It would be on a soft surface at least it wouldn't damage your face which arguably could use some improvements~"

She heard Blaise moan on the floor. "Either of you want to stop flirting and pick me up~?" Silence hung in the air. "Okay then I'll just lay here on the ground if no one cares injured and alone, I can tell when I'm not wanted~" A double eye roll greets Blaise's statement they both grab one of his arms and pull him up into the seat. "Okay Blaise what was the lesson you learned from your experience just now~?" He scratch's the back of his head. "Don't run around with my shoes untied and try not to crash into car doors~?" She nods and crosses her arms. "Very good now go chase that snack cart it's getting away~!" He flies up once again and heads after it leaving her and Draco in silence, it was more a comfortable one this time however.

"Honestly I thought he would approach that like a normal human being maybe I shouldn't have put in that phrasing~" she heard a faint laugh coming form across the compartment when she turned her head she saw Draco covering his mouth trying not to laugh. "You are absolutely horrible Alessandra Ibris you just made poor Blaise make a fool of himself, I'll have you use that one next time. You have guts I'll give you that much if your sorted into Slytherin it won't be the worst thing~"

She offers her hand to him and then smiles. "Perhaps we should try again I'm Alessandra Ibris please stop addressing me by my last name I despise it~" He reaches a pale hand out and shakes it before stating dramatically. "Malfoy, Draco Malfoy wouldn't want you becoming friends with the wrong sorts I could be convinced to introduce you to the right people in exchange for a second favor~" She shakes her head. "I want to find my own way and figure out who I should be friends with your idea of the right people most likely being very different from mine Example A the two stupid trolls that just crushed me~"

He then sat silent for a moment. "I believe that would be a point awarded to you for sheer honesty and I'm surprised you haven't started trying to win my favor...it's weird most people only care about what I can do for them, makes me bloody uncomfortable~" She smiled softly and then closed her eyes. "I don't want anything from you in the tangible sense, what I want is for you to be honest with yourself and others, and to be a shoulder to cry on if you need one or Blaise for that matter of fact~" He sighs and then nods. "So what are you most excited to study at Hogwarts~?" She sat quietly in thought for a few moments picking out her favorite reading materials. "I would have to say care for magical creatures I've always had a passionate interest in all the wonderful creatures of the world both magical and mundane, my second great love however is astronomy I love looking at the stars and studying the constellation's then in third place tied is defense against the dark arts and potions both have practical applications I can use to protect people~" Draco nods. "Your in luck the head of Slytherin house professor Snape is our potions master doesn't get much better than that now does it~?" However you had better hope you get Slytherin or he won't be as inclined to aid you and I also favor astronomy I'm named after a constellation you see and dragons of course~"

That's when she felt the train coming to stop the wheels slowly screeched to a halt and others began leaving the train. "I guess that's our cue to disembark the train I'm not sure what I'm supposed to Draco any tips~?" He smirks. "Maybe but...." She sighs in exasperation. "Yes yes I know I'll owe you a bloody favor if you help me, know what I'll manage on my own I can't be owing you favors my whole life besides it can't be that difficult right~" she grabbed her things and started heading out towards the platform where she saw a huge man standing there greeting the first years. A big busy beard hung around his face it was scraggly and dark brown he must have been part giant due to his size he wore a long brown coat and heavy boots.

"First years gather round I'm Rubeus Hagrid keeper of the keys and game here at Hogwarts as well as grounds keeper I'll be leading you to the boats second year and up take the carriages~" he pulled out a large lantern and started walking towards the shore of the Great Lake leading them all she took a deep breath on her own once again when they got there she saw many small boats each with a lantern attached.

"Alright just pick one children no more than four to a boat however also you'll all need a lantern when everyone is ready and seated the boats will take off across the lake~"

She hopped in the first one she saw and then felt more people get in she saw a young lady stumbling she almost fell into the boat but Alessandra managed to catch her.

"Merlin's trousers are you okay~?" The young girl wore her hair up in a messy bun, raven locks shone under the moonlight as her pale blue eyes meet with Alessandras her wardrobe was the basic Hogwarts uniform but her hair was held up by a wolf clip. "Oh I'm so sorry to have troubled you I'm such a dunce my name is Cher Connery it's a pleasure to meet you~" Alessandra smiled happily and shook her pale hand her nails were painted with all the colors of the houses. "Alessandra Ibris and don't feel bad honestly I'm surprised i didn't fall in the boat, I'm about as graceful as a two legged hippogriff. If it's any comfort I would chalk it up to nerves their killer~" Cher nodded eagerly. "Tell me about it my stomach has been in knots since this morning couldn't even enjoy my breakfast and it was my favorite meal too, ruins the whole day~"

Alessandra pulled out some Botts beans she had bought. "Please it sounds like you've been under terrible stress have a little something sweet and surprising no need for it to rain on an otherwise incredible day~"  Cher took them with a nod of thanks. "Look There it is the castle~!"

Alessandra felt the breath leave her and the beating of her heart slowing, It was grander than anything she could have imagine. The lights shone down onto the lake the stones stood sturdy protecting the students from all forms of unsavory experiences. It had stood for more than a thousand years and it would soon be her home she felt the boat come to a stop and she carefully got out quietly thinking to her. What an adventure this would be whatever happened she would meet it head on.
