Happy Household

Alessandra snoozed peacefully amongst the covers of her plush bed her breathing steady and even with a small smile creeping across her face. Slowly she opened her eyes as morning sunlight began to peak in through her curtains painting her room vivid shades of orange and crimson. She shielded her eyes from the suns rays and rubbed the grogginess from her eyes. Chirping began to fill the air the birds who had made a nest on the windowsill must have awoken. Sitting up slowly she slid out of bed her robins egg blue nightgown falling down all the way to her ankles her feet slid into the matching horseshoe's which had dog ears on the top. Her gaze scanned across the room which was painted plum, she enjoyed all manner of purples. It was her favorite color a old writing desk her eldest brother made for her sat in front of the window, that's where she did the best writing. A pleasant breeze was a powerful tool that could clear the mind and make words flow more readily. Walking over to the window she put her hands on the panes and opened it. Then reaching into the small bag of bird seed she came out with a handful and scattered it for her guests on the windowsill nature of all kinds was precious to her. There was a certain kindness in animals that appealed to her sometimes she enjoyed their company more than she did other humans. That's when the sound of a clock striking seven caught her attention oh no she would be late for breakfast if she didn't hurry.

She sprinted over to the bathroom and closed the door running hot water and getting all her cleaning products she loved the scented bath bombs from Diagon Alley her older sister always brought her some home when she was on holiday. She decided on cashmere for the day and slid into the tub her pale skin being soaked by the steaming scented water, tension melted from her body as she took a deep breath her strawberry blond hair fell around her shoulders. Her skin was covered in freckles and a few scars from roughhousing with her older siblings. Curls bounced all over the place before she dunked underneath the water to, wet her hair she gave it a good wash and then a rinse and stepped out wrapping a dark azure towel around herself so she could tend to her hair. She sat down upon her vanity and began to dry it letting the curls come back naturally she then pulled it all up and slipped a ponytail holder around it the ponytail holder bore an acromantula.

"Shoot I'll have to pick an outfit mum was right I should have given it a bit more thought~"

She pondered for a few moments before picking up a bell to summon one of the family's house elves suddenly she appeared the house elf wore a lovely leaf patterned dress which bore shades of crimson and she looked well feed her voice was soft and sweet.

"Yes mistress how may daisy be of service on this day~?"

She picked the little house up and set her upon the bed as she sat next to her.

"I was thinking of all my options for outfits daisy and I was hoping I could rope in your discerning eye I do want to look nice they say first impressions are everything after all~"

Daisy nods and thinks for a few moments before levitating an outfit out of the drawer and over to the bed Alessandra looked it over and smiled it was a beautiful ensemble. The bottoms were a soft lavender and hugged her legs nicely and the top was a vivid light blue it was quite the pastel color palette it had a high neckline and long sleeves but it was still light enough to be worn comfortably it was a bit chilly this morning so the elf had also gotten her a light cardigan to wear over it. She clapped her hands together as her eyes lit up.

"It's positively lovely daisy thank you I'll be getting dressed now mum must be in quite the tiz~"

Daisy left the room and Alessandra got dressed she looked at herself one more time in the mirror before taking a deep breath.

"You can do this there isn't anything to be scared of nothing at all, it's just first year jitters that's it~"

A knock sounded upon the door the and Alessandra hurried over throwing it open, valarica get older sister stood there looking her up and down a worried look painted across her face she wore her ravenclaw robes and tie her medium length crimson hair was put up in a twist her wand holding it up. Her eyes were golden in color and her expression was almost always stern she was by far the most organized of the siblings and often planned the days events she was about five seven in height and In her fourth year at Hogwarts.

"Ah good morning sis I know I'm running late I'm terribly sorry but I couldn't sleep last night...your not mad right I know I'm throwing off your schedule~" she bows her head in embarrassment as Valarica shakes her head. "Worried is more like it i wish you would have told me I could have mixed you a relaxing potion and I know your nervous I was about to vomit eighty percent of my first semester from nervousness I mean being in ravenclaw means I'm expected to perform~"

She gently moves her hand over and places it on Allesandra's shoulder looking her younger sister dead in the eyes.

"Just enjoy the small wonders and figure out the rest as you go that's what got me through now let's hurry to breakfast before our brothers pig it all down~"

Alessandra couldn't help but giggle in some ways her sister was often considered poised outside of the house but inside she was far from eloquent but her wit and intellect were always showing with her constant inventions and improvements to already grand magical processes. Alessandra followed Valarica down the halls the floorboards creaked beneath them the home was very old and had been in the family for generations the Ibris family came from old magic almost as old as the blacks and old money as well. She headed down the oak staircase and was almost taken out by her eldest brother Allen rounding the corner she caught him carefully and steadied him sometimes he moved to fast for his own good. Allen was a tall young man with prominent facial features he had strong cheek bones and his gaze was almost always soft and thoughtful he wore a smile more often than not. He always carried the scent of wood shavings, paints and other materials with him being as he always had a project and enjoyed working with his hands he shared the samehair with Valarica his hair was far more wild however, his eyes were pools of sapphire. He was a proud member of the Gryffindor house in his sixth year no one was braver than him and that made her feel at ease she always knew her big brother was looking out for her. He had already threatened to break anyone who was cruel to her in half.

"Oh morning sis sorry didn't see you there but no harm no fowl right or would it be foul in this scenario I'm pretty sure the first one is a bird drat I did it again~!" Alessandra simply rolled her eyes. "My dear older brother mixing words once again what am I going to do with your freakishly tall giant lion arse~"

She reached her hand up to ruffle his hair but he surprisingly picked her up like she was nothing before he spun around. "Oi, is that anyway to talk to your older brother what happened to respecting your elders huh~?" She snickered and hugged him back. "Oh like you respected professor Snapes wishes not to blow the entirety of the potions lab up~?" He pouts and sighs. "There is no winning with you honestly that sharp tongue will no doubt put you in ravenclaw~" Valarica swatted her elder brother aggressively. "Oh what does that mean are you saying you find my tongue offensive Al well then I'll remember that next time your stumped on an ancient ruins question~" he sighs and lets his head fall as they all hear maniacal laughter in the dinning room.

Alessandra peaks her head around the corner and sees the massive floating board of quidditch plays and plans observing the floating construct was none other than her brother Ivan he was the family's quidditch but. She walked in with her siblings causing Ivan to jump and the papers to go haywire one was now stuck to Allen's face.

"Oh sorry guys but don't scare me like that I was focusing in on a winning quidditch strategy for this year I know Hufflepuff can win~!" Alessandra could see the excitement bubbling in his dark green eyes he was a proud second year a member of the Hufflepuff house, blond hair fell down to just below his ears he had inherited their mother's straight locks as opposed to the curls from their fathers side. Allen smirked and ruffled his brothers hair.

"Forget about it Ivan you and I both know Gryffindor rules the skies but your loyalty is admirable and your patience could put a turtle to shame~" Ivan puffs his cheeks out he was always being teased by his siblings but it was mostly good natured.

"You'll be thinking that when Hufflepuff puts Gryffindor on a bloody plate and serves them up a healthy helping of losses~!"

That's when a bell sounded indicating breakfast was ready. Alessandra smiles at her siblings and then pokes each one. "As much as I do love our debates I'm hungry so shall we proceed onto breakfast hopefully it doesn't come up later today that would be terribly embarrassing~"

They made their way to the dinning room ducking under the plates that were floating to the table and setting down in the appropriate places. Their mother loved to collect unique dishes so there was always a new curious design or pattern, today's appeared to be dragons battling wyverns. She took her seat in tandem with her siblings as her mother Verona poked her head out of the kitchen. The dress she wore was quite elegant it was a vibrant icy blue, the streamlined fabric fell all around her body her mother cared not for poofy gowns and gaudy jewelry she preferred classic elegance, slits ran up the sides of the skirt allowing freedom of movement and her small heeled shoes were black with red and gold stones across the top she was proud of her time in Gryffindor. She wore her hair short coming just to her neckline and a lion and raven hair clip was placed right in the center she always wore it being a gift from their father, around her neck hung a red and blue pendant with each of their pictures and house names underneath. Her mother's gaze was always firm and when angered her blue eyes took on a steely look she was quick to anger with all except her children and husband she couldn't be angry for long unless there was a serious hurt involved.

"Alright everyone wash up breakfast is ready and your father will be back from his trip this morning he wants to see you all off, I trust all of you will be well behaved this year..however kept it interesting cause a little bit of chaos for your mum~"

A loud pop sounded from the entrance and a few moments later a tall wizard strode in carrying an old beat up trunk his cloths were a bit disheveled and his eyes betrayed a tiredness not found in his expression. His bright crimson curls reflected the light from the chandelier and his eyes were a vibrant green almost catlike. An auror badge was pinned to his chest along with a lion and raven pin that had been a gift from their mum way back when they were both in school. He had been in Ravenclaw house though he could have easily fit into Gryffindor.

"Love are you trying to get our children in trouble again honestly what am I going to do with you~"  Verona chuckled. "Nonsense Vergil I would never try to cause trouble for the children I just give gentle encouragement and don't act like your innocent, in school you were a wild one too only your pranks were less overt than my own~" he walks over and gives her a kiss before pulling out the chair for her.  "I'll be down to breakfast shortly I have to do a quick write up of my report and get cleaned up~" Verona nods. "I'll keep it warm for you I have a clean set of cloths set out and the water should be nice and warm~"

Her father came down a short time later and took his seat at the table he smiled at the children. "After breakfast I have something for each of you I think you'll like them and are you all ready to go off to school again make sure your sister doesn't get lost in Diagon alley~" Alessandra stopped eating and thought for a moment. "I have something I want to tell all of you and it's very important~" they stopped and looked to her Verona reached her hand over and put it atop Alessandras. "You can tell us anything dear~" she nods. "Thank you all for taking me in and being so kind to me you didn't have to~" Vergil shook his head. "There is no need to thank us your family wanted us to be your god parents and that was not something asked lightly you are as much my child as Allen, Ivan and Valarica your parents were good people and even though they were muggles they could tell you were going to be special I so wish you had the chance to know them I'm just thankful the order were able to find you hidden amongst the ruins~" Valarica hugged her tightly. "You are my sister nothing less and we all feel the same way you are the best younger sister I could ask for and I wouldn't have it any other way~" Her adoption was not public knowledge and her birth was fabricated to throw off suspicion many death eaters former and current would not have taken kindly to the fact they took her in.  They finish their breakfast of pancakes and eggs before Alessandra goes to get her bag which wiggles a little.

"Shh they'll hear you be quite guys~"

She takes the bag off her rack and throws it over her shoulder as well as grabbing her shopping money which was kept in a Pygmy puff change purse she hurried back down the stairs and saw everyone using the floo network. When it was her turn she hurried over and grabbed a pinch of powder before throwing it down.

"Diagon Alley~!" She opened her eyes as she arrived and looked around the magical splendor was all around she had never been here before it was all so new and inviting what a grand adventure this would be she looked around for her siblings but something must have gone wrong for she was alone but the face remained she had shopping to do and the main-street looked pleasant and safe so she began to wander through the streets books were the first thing on her list so that was her first stop.
