Right from the start it's so dreamy! The descriptions are both well formed and judiciously placed.

Honestly I'm so happy for the parents' relationship. Good, healthy relationships are underrepresented in writing (also Manchester representation is appreciated :))

You have a gift for dialogue. Iris's personality really shines through her vocabulary, both in dialogue & monologue. I love being led through the story by her.

Your pacing was great, as were your characters!

It's just so casual and comforting really.

Grammar was a little patchy in parts, but nothing which hugely impaired reading of it. Maybe go through with a fine tooth comb once you're happy with it just to straighten out those details. Further on the grammar, I'm not personally fond of italics to show inner monologue, but I know that some people are. Just something to be aware of.

Perhaps it is a little unrealistic in parts, but I think that everyone needs a book like this to cheer them up. If you'd like to make it a more realistic book, then yeah take some time to evaluate the genuine progression, but if you want to keep it as that dreamy kinda thing, keep on as you are!!!
