Emily's P.O.V

For me, there isn't really much to do in town. I've been to all the stores, carts; everywhere. And I have no one to hang out with either. All my 'friends' abandoned me, just because they didn't want to look pathetic hanging out with me.

I sighed, brushing my light blue quills away from my left eye, only to have them fall back into place.
My unnaturally bright green eyes scanned the scene in front of me.
People walking, talking, stopping by stores - the usual.
I was leaning against a wall with my arms crossed, until I was shoved. Instead of falling over, I stumbled to the side.
"Hey there Emily, how's it going?"

"Pretty good actually, no backstabbing rats in my life."

Katarina was the one who convinced every one of my friends that I was a freak because all of my friends were boys. And on TOP of that, she told everyone that I wanted to sleep with all my guy friends.

DO NOT WANT! DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT!!

"If anyone is the rat here it's you. I mean, what even are you?"

I took a step closer to her.
"I'm a hedgehog that can kick your ass. That's all you need to know."

"Oh please! You couldn't hurt a fly! I-"
She was rambling on and on, but I was too focused on the giant robot about to squash her.

"LOOK OUT!" I grabbed her arm and took off just as the robot stepped where she was standing.
I set her down a little ways away and ran back to the robot. There's no doubt in my mind that it's Eggman.
And sure enough, controlling the robot was Egghead himself.
"What are you doing here Egg-for-brains!" I shouted. He looked down at me.

"Ah, Sonic! You're here!"
I gave him a confused look.

"Sonic? What are you talking about? My name's Emily doofus!"

"Oh, sorry. It's just... Blue fur, green eyes, red shoes-"
I rolled my eyes and spin dashed, picking up enough speed to fly into the air and hit the robot square in the chest. I landed on the ground and watched the robot stumble back a bit.
"Wha-? Oh you're getting it now girly!"

I pretended not to care and fake inspected my nails, then looked up in mock surprise.
"Oh I'm sorry what? I couldn't hear you over the sound of my awesomeness!"
He shouted in a rage and moved one of the arms down to squash me. I ran to the left, then the right and back again as the attacks kept on coming.
But I took one wrong step and he sent me flying into a wall.

I cried out in pain and kept my head down, attempting to try and get my breathing back to normal.
Eggman chuckled, the shadow of his robot looming over me.
"You may have speed, but you don't have strength."

I braced myself for the worst pain ever, but a voice cut in.
"Harming innocent girls Egghead? That's just low, even for you."
I slightly looked up and saw an ocean blue hedgehog with white gloves and red shoes with a white stripe.
Talk about doppleganger.
Creepy.

"Sonic! Finally! Let's-"
The hedgehog didn't even let the guy finish, just started to take his robot down.
Within a few minutes, the robot was defeated and Eggman was retreating. The hedgehog came over and helped me up. My head was pounding.

"You okay?"

"Just a headache, other than that I'm fine... I'm Emily."

"Sonic."

I gave a small smile.
"Nice to meet ya."

And that's when Katarina had to step in.
"Coughcough - slut - coughcough"

I turned to her smirking face and gave her my most loathing glare.
"I just saved your frickin' life!"
She only scoffed.

"Yeah, with your freak powers! It's not natural!"

I growled. "You know what? I'm not dealing with this." I muttered.
And with that, I took off into the woods.
