Emily's P.O.V

Once the sun started setting, I ran back to Sonic's. I carefully opened the door, glad to see no one in the room.
I walked in, quietly closing the door.

"Why are you being so secretive?"

I jumped and shrieked, glaring daggers at Sonic.
"One, don't scare me like that. Two, I didn't know if someone was sleeping. In case you haven't noticed it's like, nine o'clock"

He nodded.
"True. WHy did you run off?"

I just shrugged.
"I was never really good around people."

"I think we can all tell."

I gasped and playfully shoved him, failing to hold back a small smile. In doing so, some of my hair fell in front of my face. I glared at the piece of hair and blew it out of my face.
Sonic chuckled.

"That was cute."

My eyes widened and I blushed.
"Don't call me cute!" I said.

"Why not?"

"Because it's not true!"

"Whatever cutie."

"Dude!"

That caused my face to become even more red if possible. Meanwhile, he was just standing there laughing.
I rolled my eyes and walked away. "You're a jerk."

"C'mon, y'know you love me"

I just grinned and rolled my eyes.
