Lloyd Gramadon had been dead for two years now, and Ninjago was nothing but peace. His mother had died of a broken heart, and so had Wu. All the ninjas went to deal with their grief. Kai beat guys up, Zane worked none stop on mechs and other stuff with Pixal. Jay and Cole played video games till their eyes went red. Neither talked, smiled, or moved. And the games they played? They were Lloyd's favorite. Nya trained non-stop, and Kai or Jay would have to stop her before she got seriously hurt. And the Jade Princess, stayed quiet. She ate, bit very little....The same goes for sleep. She would sometimes train with Nya. She was hurt inside. 

But she wasn't planning revenge. That had got Lloyd dead....At least that's what she thought. She knew if she did, she would get someone else killed. She didn't want that. Not at all. And sometimes, she would wake up early, just to see if it was a bad dream. She called his name. Sometimes scream it. She would then have a breakdown, where Nya or someone would find her crying, where they had to explain that Lloyd was dead. To them, he was dead. Like when Nya merged with the sea. He was still out there, but he wouldn't be the same Lloyd. He was full oni. He had no heart or soul. Only hate kept him alive. They all knew, but never said it out loud. How did they know? Well, they didn't. 

Because they never saw Lloyd since he had saved everyone in Ninjago. And their feelings about seeing Lloyd as that.......thing were mixed feelings. Did they want to see their brother/lover once again? A thousand times yes. But were they also scared of him in this form? A thousand times yes.

Hope finally started to come on one early bright Sunday morning. Nya was the first up, mostly to train. Harumi got up not even 5 minutes later. As normal, her hair was very messy, you would even say the last time she brushed it was the day before Lloyd died. Her once jade eyes, were now dark. Her face had some wrinkles on it, from the lack of sleep. She also had some stained tears from all the crying from the nightmares she had been having. If you asked anyone in the Monastery, they would tell you that she was taking Lloyd's 'death' like Lloyd took hers. After Harumi's death, Lloyd took it very hard, but tried not to show it. He would wake up with dry tears stains, messy hair, wrinkles, and his eyes would show green, but it had lost its spark. It had gain that spark once they found out Harumi was alive.

Harumi sat down on the table, drank her coffee, and buried her hands in her face. That was when Kai Smith came in. His hair was fine(But if the old Kai saw his hair, he would have a cow), he was covered in scars and wounds from all the fighting, he had wrinkles, and his eyes seemed to have a hint of anger and sadness in them, as they always did. He then went over to the fridge, then an apple in his mouth, and then walked away to see how his sister was doing. An hour later Jay and Cole. 

The two best friends. As you may recall, these two were best friends. Both making each other laugh and getting on each other's nerves. But that changed. They barely talked or laughed. Jay had lost his way of laughing and telling jokes. And Cole couldn't even enjoy eating cake. CAKE! And they were too busy playing video games to sleep and sometimes even eating. Nya or Zane had to remind them to.

Then came the nindrod and his girlfriend. Zane and Pixal. They had both turned off their emotions switch(I think that's what it's called?), and the other ninjas barely saw them other than to remind Jay and Cole to do stuff. 

Two hours later, Kai pulled Nya out of training. Nya's hair was messy, her eyes had wrinkles around them, she had cuts all over herself from all the training. And like Harumi, she didn't talk much. They all sat down for a small breakfast, and continued on with their day. It wasn't until Garmadon, came walking in."There is hope."He said."For what?!"Demanded Kai."Lloyd is dead. Lloyd was the only hope! He was our leader...Our brother....Without him there is no hope!"Exclaimed Kai. All of us looked down. Nya went to comfort her brother."Hope for getting back my son."Garmadon said softly, with a small, but indeed large smile.

It was silent for a moment. Then, Jay burst out laughing. Which got him glares from Kai and Cole. Nya then slapped her face. Jay did not stop laughing until Cole put his hand on his mouth."Not cool, dude."Said Cole."Not funny."Said Nya, but she was looking at Garmadon."Yeah, if this is some sort of joke, it's just plain cruel."Said Kai. Garmadon started to get angry."Now, why would I joke about a chance of getting my son back?!"He demanded.

"Because you are a terrible person!"Shouted Kai."You all know that I changed!"He shot back."IF YOU CHANGED, THEN LLOYD WOULD STILL BE HERE, YOU MONSTER!"Screamed Kai."What does that mean?!"Asked Garmadon."You were the one who told Lloyd how to-"Shut up, you tin can!"Ordered Garmadon."HEY! You don't get to talk to him like that!"Exclaimed Jay."Why are you even here?"Harumi asked softly. 

Garmadon looked at her. He had always had a soft spot for her. Sure, he may have tried to choke her to death, but he wouldn't have the guts to do it. After the Overlord was defeated, he had secretly hoped that she would be his daughter-in-law. That was why he had spied on her and Lloyd, to see if they hooked up. He would approve of it, of course. And before he had always thought of her as a daughter. Harumi looked at him."Kai is right. You are the reason Lloyd is dead. YOU are the reason I am ALONE!"She yelled. 

Tears started to form across her face."Did you even care?! Did you even care about him? Care that we will NEVER see him again?! And now, you say there is a way to bring him back?! Is this a game to you?! Because it seems like it!"She yelled at him. Garmadon stayed quiet."My boyfriend is gone! Because. Of. YOU!"She screamed. She then ran to her room, and slammed the door. Everyone glared at Garmadon. Jay and Nya headed to Nya's room. Kai went to either beat more guys up or see Skylor. Cole went to who knows where. Zane and Pixal went down to build more mechs. Garmadon was left alone. He had no wife, no brother, and no son. He was alone.

Harumi wiped the rest of her tears, and got up. She hated Garmadon. She hated everyone at the moment. She hated Lloyd. She hated him so much for leaving her. Is this what it felt like for Lloyd when she died? She wondered. Did he hate her because she left him? But did he love her at the same time? Her guess was yes. She picked up a picture of her and Lloyd that was cracked. It was cracked because on the day after Lloyd left, she had thrown it across the room."We truly are kindred spirits."She said sadly with a small smile. 

What if Garmadon wasn't joking? What if he had a way of getting Lloyd back? Lloyd. She smiled. She thought of what happened if they were to get Lloyd back. Would they get married? Have children of their own? And would they die in each other's arms? Together? She smiled. That would be a dream come true. But who was she kidding? Lloyd was gone forever. Forever.

Meanwhile, Jay and Nya were cuddling in Jay's bed."Jay?"Asked Nya."What is it?"He asked."Do you think Garmadon is telling the truth?"She asked. Jay didn't answer at first, instead he held Nya's hand tighter."To be honest.....I don't know. How can we trust him?"Asked Jay. Nya looked up."I don't know, Jay. But wouldn't it be something to have Lloyd back?"She asked her boyfriend. Jay smiled."Yeah. Remember when he played all those pranks on me and the guys? We hated him, but we learned to love him."Said Jay. 

It was Nya's turn to smile."I wish he was here."Said Nya."I think he is Nya. I think the old Lloyd had always been with us."Said Jay."I sure as hell miss him though."Said Nya softly."We all do."Jay said."Jay, this may be crazy....But what if we wish-"Nya! You know as well as I do we can't do that! I....Almost lost you..."Jay said."I know, Jay. But the team....Our family isn't the same. Don't want to wake up and hear his laugh?"She asked.

"Of course I do! Lloyd was like a brother to me......But we can't...When I saw that the....That you were hit....I-I thought I lost you. You are my yang, Nya. My other piece. I need you. And we would be putting everyone in danger! We can't do that."He explained."You will never lose me. And maybe you are right. But....We can't live like this! We have no leader or master. We need to do something. Maybe....We have to hear Garmadon out. Now, I don't trust him...But we need to hear him out. For Lloyd."Said the water ninja. Jay nodded."I love you Nya Smith."Said Jay."And I love you, Jay Walker."She said.

Nya and Jay had decided to listen to Garmadon, and they would have to talk to the others about it. And how hard could it be?"WHAT?!"Screamed Kai."Kai, calm down."Said Nya."Calm down?! How can you even trust him? What Harumi said is true. We all know it is. He never gave-"I am not trusting him, Kai. Do you think I am stupid?!"Demanded Nya. She sighed."Look, for two years we have been grieving over him...But what if Garnadon is telling the truth? What if there is a way to get Lloyd back? We have to at least try."She said.
"We didn't give up on Nya, we shouldn't give up on Lloyd."Said Jay."I just don't see it, guys. Garmadon....He can't be trusted."Said Cole."Not even for Lloyd?"Asked Pixal."I say we do it. For Lloyd."Said Harumi."Yeah..."Said Cole. Zane and Pixal nodded. They all looked at Kai."Lloyd is my little brother. I would do anything for him."Said Kai."Guess we are going on another adventure, huh?"Asked Cole. They all smiled."Ninja-GO!"They all said together. They had no idea what they were heading for.
