Battle Against The Sun and Moon

The corpses of the Sun God and the Moon God block our path. Twilight and I turn to look at each other, both shocked by this encounter. However, we both know that we're getting close, and after these two, The Kin won't have many other corpses to send at us.

"You ready?" I ask.

"Always," Twilight smiles.

The two gods prepare their magics, the Sun God conjuring up a blade made of magic, and the Moon God summoning spheres of moon magic into his hand. I'm the first to strike, lunging at the Sun God who attempts to parry my attack, but fails as I strike with my other arm at his stomach.

The Sun God attempts to slash downwards, but I quickly roll out of the way, avoiding his attack He converts his blade into a spear and charges me, but I manage to jump left and out of the way before striking his spine, filling the air with a satisfying crack, but being already dead, although his upper half now leans to one side and flails about, the Sun God lunges once more...

The Moon God, the one who I once was, the one of the two halves of myself was willing to erase his brother, blocks my path. We look at each other in a tense silence for a moment, before the hollow shell blasts me with a beam of moon magic. I counter the pale beam with a bolt of golden sun magic, the two dispelling each other between us, causing an explosion, filling the air with dust and smoke.

The husk, with a blank, soulless look on its face, conjures two whips of the magical energy and lashes with them at me. Quickly, I conjure a blade made of eclipse magic to block, but the whips wrap around it, allowing the husk to pull me in, leaving me open to take a blast right to my face which knocks me right back to where I started.

I quickly get back on my feet as the husk strikes with the twin whips once more, but this time, I know better than to try to counter, I leap left and duck under them as I lunge, getting the husk in a choke hold where it can't move or attack, ready to snap its neck as soon as the other falls.

"I got this one!" Twilight calls, "kill the other!"

"I'm trying!" I call back, as we parry and doge each other, neither me nor the Sun God able to land a blow. I watch closely how the husk attacks, waiting for an opening, until I notice its broken pine leave its head wide open, so I bait it into slashing my shoulder and shatter its skull.

With the other one, that's thirty three.

I snap the husk's neck and rush over to Anna.

"Crap you're bleeding!" I exclaim, "don't move!"

I use sun magic to heal her wounds, and mine as well.

"Thanks," she smiles, "we're getting close, not much further now."

"I know," I smile back, "soon, we'll be able to reach that world, that world that still lives."

"And shatter the one who took ours from us."

"What?"

"That's always been my goal, throw that thing into the void."

"Anna, that's not right, and you know it. You'd be no better than what we're fighting against."

"You gonna stop me?"

I fall silent.

"Didn't think so," Anna glares, "let's keep moving."

We begin to walk towards the end, but to be honest Anna...

I just might have to stop you. To erase someone is wrong. I won't let you do that.

No matter what price I must pay...
