Juvia thinks, it was nice of Lucy to write to  Natsu.  She wonders if  Natsu and Lucy will become best friends.

     "You better watch out Natsu, or you might find yourself close to a girl!" Gray teases him.

"Ha, ha, as if that could happen.  You know how I feel about girls," Natsu says.

"Besides, how bad could it be to have  a special girl in your life?"  Gray asks.

"You were never good at hiding your jealousy over my correspondence with Juvia,"  Gray says.

"Were you not just saying you are glad to have a pen pal of your own?"  Gray asks.

"Yes, what about it?"  Natsu asks.

"Just forget I said anything then," Gray replies. He daydreams about Juvia.  

   Gray thinks Juvia is too amazing for words. He decides to write in his journal for a while.

     Dear Journal,

   Wow, has it been six months since Juvia and I became pen pals?

It seems like we have known each other for years. The irony is we have never seen each other face to face.

  A few weeks ago, she sent me her picture.  I admit I am amazed about how beautiful she is inside and out.

  I can not think of anyone else I rather have write to me. Juvia is my best friend, and the girl..No correction the woman, I love!

I am glad to know her best friend, Lucy writes to Natsu now.  Natsu is my best friend. He has had a hard time lately.  First, his father dies, then his mother's health fails and she dies too. He is an orphan.  I feel bad for him. He seems happy that Lucy has written to him.

Well, it is rather late. I should go now and get some rest.

Gray gets some rest. 

 The next day, Gray wakes up.  

"Natsu, you are quiet this morning.  What are you up too, man?" Gray asks.

"Oh, I think I will write Lucy a letter,"  Natsu says.

"I figure why not, she did write to me lately,"  Natsu remarks.

 Gray thinks, does he remember how he said he can not stand girls. He puts the letter to Juvia out in the mail. He thinks, Juvia is great!  I am one blessed man.

  Juvia wonders what Gray is up to now.  Lucy wonders if Natsu will write back to her.

  What if he does not like me?

Maybe he is just shy.

Try not to worry so much!  He will probably write to you soon, girl.

Besides, I do not think Gray would pick him an like a best friend if he were too cruel to write a lady back.

Lisanna said she was sick earlier.  Poor thing, her car broke down on our way back from the movie last night.

Let me guess she forgot her umbrella again and her rain poncho.

 She sure did? how did you know.

When we were little she never did prepare properly for rain.  Her mother would worry and bring by a rain poncho for her.

LIsanna would insist a little rain never hurt anyone and would not wear the rain poncho.

Yes, that sure sounds like Lisanna.

I will fix some chicken soup and take it to her.  Hopefully, it will cheer her up.

I hope she has not gotten pneumonia again.

Juvia's text to Lucy

Same here, maybe she has just gotten a cold this time.

 Back with the boys,  "Natsu, I hope this battle ends soon."

"Yes, me too Gray, me too!"  Natsu says as he shields Gray from the enemy.

 The next day, " I sent the note off to Lucy today," Natsu says.

"Wow, that is great, pal!"  Gray says.

" I sent Juvia a recent note too," Gray remarks.

 A few days later, "Wow," Juvia says. She blushes.

"What are you so happy about today?" Levy asks.

"Yes, do tell us!"  Lucy says.

"I got this letter from Gray!"  Juvia remarks.

   Dear Juvia,

 I long for this war to be over, so I can meet you in person.

We have been pen pals for a long time and have something important to tell you. 

It will have to wait until we meet face to face.

Did my buddy, Natsu tell you he wrote Lucy back?

"So Lucy, what did Natsu say in his letter?"  Juvia asks.

"Uh, well it is nice,"  Lucy says.  She blushes.

   Dear Lucy,

 My best friend, Gray told me you are single, and that you like to cook.

I think you sound amazing!

What sort of things do you like to write about anyway?

Oh, and are you as pretty as I think you are or is that my imagination?

"See that is all,"  Lucy says.

"Awe, it sounds like he likes you already just like Gray and I,"  Juvia says.

"I hope  I get to see Gray in person soon,"  Juvia remarks.

 A few weeks later, "I think the girls have our letters by now,"  Gray says.

"Yes, they probably do," Natsu remarks.

"I wonder what Lucy is like she sounds amazing!"  Natsu says.

"I hope I get to meet Juvia in person someday soon!"  Gray says.

"I love Juvia!" Gray remarks.

"Yes, I know. You have it bad for her,"  Natsu says.

"Wow, Gray's latest letter is here!" Juvia says.

"I can not wait to meet him for real," She remarks.

"What?  He wants to meet you in person," Lucy says.

"Yes, he sure does," Juvia replies.

    Dear Juvia,

  I wait for the days to go by so I can meet you for real.

This is so hard to wait.

 I love you!

We hope all is well with you.  You must be a blessing for those in the soup kitchen as you are to me already.

"Wow, your man loves you!  How romantic! "  Lucy says.

  "Yes, he does and I love him too," Juvia replies.
