Hotels are loved by everyone - sometimes they're nice to stay in while you're on vacation - and no one wants to find a run down, cheap motel.
Did you know that there are many different types of themed hotels? Probably so, but I bet you didn't know some that are on this list!
5) People themed hotel hotels -
Beatle lovers adore this hotel called the 'Hard Days Night Hotel' in Liverpool, England. The entire hotel is dedicated to the Beatles. Each room is decorated to honor the band; not to mention it even has two special suits - the 'Lennon Suite' and 'McCartney Suite'. You can even get married there. So, if Count Dracula counts as a person, then this is definitely one for the list.
There is a hotel in Berlin where you can literally sleep in a coffin with the lid closed. It's designed to look creepy, like the place Dracula would have slept, but don't fear. If you don't wanna sleep in the coffin, you can always find room in the labyrinth bedspace below!
4) Geek themed hotel hotels -
'The Astronomers Inn' in Benson Arizona is exactly what it sounds like: the perfect hotel for Astronomers. The hotel itself has telescopes on the rooftop, with tours of the night sky. Oh, and it's also right next door to the observatory. Or, if travelling is your thing, then you can stay at the 'Le Monde Hotel', in Edinburgh, Scotland. Each room in this hotel is designed like a different city, making you feel like you're traveling around the world - even the dining halls are themed!
What if you love geeking out about motorcyles? Don't worry, we have a hotel for you too - the 'Iron Horse Hotel' in Wisconsin will provide. From indoor bike parking, to bike washing facilities, this is perfect for anyone who loves motorcycles. They even have a store with everything motorcycle geeks could need!
There's also a hotel for Skateboarders - 'Hotel Unique' in Sao Paulo. Each room has curved walls, which creates a skateboarding ramp. Bring your boards! But wait, there are also hotels for people who love to stay healthy - the 'Danish Crown Plaza'. It literally transfers the energy used from the gym into electricity. Don't forget the free meals for everyone who makes 10 kilowatt hours of electricity. I might even exercise for free food! Well, maybe not. We also can't forget about robot geeks! There's a hotel in Japan where "actdroids" aka multilingual gynoid robots are receptionists.
3) Superhero themed hotels -
'The Baby Grand Hotel' in Athens, Greece, has a Spiderman room in it. The hotel also features the Smurfs and Chinese landscapes. 'The Eden Motel' in Taiwan has a room dedicated to batman - complete with a batman double bed, batcave style walls, bat-tub and bat TV's.
2) Video game themed hotels -
A hotel in Japantown in San Francisco has rooms they call 'gaming suits'. They have a ps3 console, nintendo 2ii, and an 8 by 5 foot screen where you can play your favorite games. There's a huge couch for you to sit on, too. Perfect for video gamers - like me!
'Arcade Hotel' in Amsterdam has a comics library, gaming headsets, and giant flat screen TVs. It even has a virtual reality corner and VR games as well!
1) Movie themed hotels -
The 'Disney World' resort in Florida has tons of hotels. Some are themed with African wildlife, while others are themed with modern sports. There is also one that has hotel rooms themed with all the Disney Pixar movies - including Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, and Fantasia! The 'Tribeca Grand Hotel' in New York isn't based off a movie per-se, but movies in general. During your stay, you're given a flip ultra HD camcorder that you can take with you everywhere. When you're done shooting, you go to your iStudio - aka your room - and can use the amazing editing equipment there. Man, I would LOVE to go here!
There are also some weirder ones - there are lots of hotels in Japan themed around Hello Kitty. Forks, Washington also has a hotel just for Twilight fans - many of them flock to the town. At thishotel, you can play a Twilight trivia game and even eat Bella Berry pie.
The Georgian House Hotel in London has two suits dedicated to Harry Potter! Sao Pualo has a hotel featuring a room just for Trekkies - Star Trek fans. The room is designed to make guests feel like they're inside the Enterprise and even has seven thousand crystal starson the walls with remote control colored LED lights! Woodlyn Park in Waikato, New Zealand actually are apartments that are designed to look like Hobbit homes. They're underground hotels set into a hill, perfect for Lord of the Rings fans! Yes, I wanna go!
There is a Jurassic park themed hotel in Beppu, Japan. It's so expensive, it's pay-by-the-hour, so if you want 90 minutes, you can pay thirty dollars. It's actually a theme park too. Who else wants to go here besides me? Hotel Sidi Driss in Tunisia is the place for every Star Wars fan - INCLUDING ME. This is where Star Wars Episode Four's most iconic scenes were filmed and it's easily recognizable for any fan. This place was Luke Skywalker's home planet of Tatooine - ANAKIN'S TOO. Fun fact: the hotel was built centuries ago!
