Plan B then?
TW: Rude langage.
- Ah! Finally, I felt like I waited forever! The man exclaimed as they walked into the room.
Wilbur was the first one to enter the meeting room, he made sure his beanie was well placed before standing still behind the table. Tommy stayed beside him, his palms were sweaty, looking for his words in his mind.
The young man with round glasses and a brown cape glanced around the room, it was all empty, only the president was standing in front of them, with a weird look on his face. The two younger ones joined them and stood close to George, choosing silence as their first option.
- So? What was this emergency for Tommy? The middle-aged man asked.
- Well, my friends and I have talked to the citizens of the city, and some of them are not quite sure that a war is a good idea, the blond teenager explained.
- And do I look like I care about what the people want? They voted for me, they chose the war with the hybrids, Schlatt answered, with a little tone of anger.
Wilbur sighed, this was going to be harder than they thought, convincing this man almost looked impossible to this point, but they still had hope. He didn't say a word, letting Tommy do the work he was supposed to do.
- Look Schlatt, I understand your ideas, but there must be another way.
- Like what? Give me a good example, the man said before crossing his arms.
- You could maybe negotiate with the hybrids and find a solution that would be accepted by them? Proposed his right-hand man.
At this very moment, Schlatt exploded into laughter, holding his stomach. It sounded like he was about to blow up the planet a minute later.
- And why the hell would I ever consider being pacifist towards these monsters Tommy! They don't deserve to live on the precious lands of L'manberg, spat out the man.
Tommy remained silent to his answer, desperately trying to find good words to convince him and change his mind, but it really looked like this guy wanted to burn them all.
- Lost your tongue, Tommy? Schlatt adds, raising an eyebrow with a small smile on his lips.
- I just think maybe, you could think about being nicer towards them, maybe you would be surprised, Wilbur finally spoke seeing his friend wasn't handling the situation at all.
Schlatt looked at the tall man with doubting regard, not sure what to think about him.
- Do you guys think these bastards deserve a chance? The man asked.
- Well, everyone does, right? George said, smiling a little almost like a kid on Christmas.
- Who are these idiots Tommy for real, why'd you bring me these dumbasses to bother me about my plans, Schlatt said, starting to be a little frustrated.
Wilbur hardly got insulted about what Schlatt just said, they weren't just monsters. Humans were.
- Schlatt come on, they're not idiots, they just see the world in a different way than you do, Tommy answered, trying to calm the atmosphere, maybe you could be more open-minded and-
- Hey! Schlatt said with a very loud tone of voice, did you make this meet-up just to make me think about what these useless creatures feel? I don't give two fucks about them! Now get out!
Everyone was in total silence, Schlatt always had a very loud and authoritarian voice. After that, they all left one by one the room to get out of the building. Ellie and Tubbo were just silent, they didn't even say a word during the whole conversation.
- Well, that didn't go very well, George said after a sigh.
- Yeah, Tommy, you need to update your card, because you were very useless during this situation, Wilbur adds, very exhausted by what Tommy did.
- I'm sorry, I thought it would work, the blonde answered.
