I know that people are going to have questions and concerns, and I will address them here before you can even say Billy Bob Joe (unless if your question is more complex than I anticipated...)

What if I entered a book into the Janus Whitewall Book Club (JWBC)? Can I still join?

I believe that you should be able to join this awards because the club isn't exactly an awards. It was more of a chance for people to get together and make friends, as well as get their works checked out. I only started the Dedications because the club was slowly dying and I decided it was a good attempt to bring it back up, as well as make it more fun!!
Plus, you may have improved your book overtime, and the other judges will be able to look at your story.

My book is in a different language. Will it be judged the same?

Of course it will! If your book is not in English, but it was listed in Our Beautiful Foreigners, then a specific judge will pull your book and judge it themselves.

What if my book is in a category that a poly-lingual judge doesn't like?

Er... I will have to check with that judge to see if they're willing to read the book. That is not for me to answer, it is the judge's decision.

What is the deadline for entries?

January 31st. On that day, I will go to each inline comment under the genres and say 'CLOSED' so that you guys know.

How long will the judging phase last?

We will be judging from February 1st - March. I still haven't come up with an exact date yet, but it will depend on the judges, really.

What are the prizes?

Of course you'd ask that. Well anyways, there are three winners for each genre, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. These winners will be getting shiny new stickers to put on their book covers to let everyone know that their books are unique.

When will winners be announced?
Sometime near the beginning of March, where Winter will end.

Will there still be dedications in the JWBC?

No, there will not be dedications in the club while awards are going on. News and recognitions will be posted here all the way until March.

What if I'm a judge and I become super busy during the awards?

Hopefully, there will be more judges than what we have now that will be able to share the work. If not, then I will be there for you. I am the host of this awards, so I should be able to take up work that can't be taken up, eh?

What if I entered a book into the JWBC recently and you haven't gotten to it yet?

I am sorry to say that I will not be reading any submissions for the club while the awards are going on. If you would like, enter your book into these awards. I mean, winning an awards is better than a dedication, am I right? If you can't, then you will have to wait until March to have your book read.

What if my book has less than 3 chapters, but I'm close to adding another chapter? Can I still enter?

Yes, you may. Just be sure that the chapter is up before the deadline.

If I enter my book, can I still add to it and update it?

Of course! I mean, if you think something needs to be changed before a judge reads your story, do whatever you think is necessary. When judging starts, the way your book is then is what the judge will grade. Again, you have until February 1st to shape up your book!

What if my genre has an insufficient number of entries by the judging phase? Will my book be taken out the awards?

Heavens, no! We would absolutely dread doing that to you guys. If we have an insufficient number of entries in one genre, we will just mix it with another genre. We'll try and make it reasonable, though! Like... if Horror had an insufficient amount, we'd mix it with paranormal, or Mystery/Thriller. We're not about to throw Werewolf/Vampire in with Spiritual, lol. Or if the genre really can't be mixed, we'll add in another awards (we really don't want to disappoint you guys!!). For those who can't do genre, then you may get Best Cover, Plot, Characters, etc.
