The infant awoke in a chamber. Torches light the room, and she made out thousands of water creatures staring at her and the leader who sat on a thrown. She realized the where all under water and she was perched on a rock.

She pretended she was still asleep.

"So you found it WHERE?" The leader asked the solider.

"Drowning. It must have fallen through the portal."

"Then it must be inalated!" It slammed its fist. The girl would have cried out, but her lungs ached to move.

"Wait!" A minion yelled from the back. Everyone turned their eyes to the being.

"What if she became one of us? The best way to defeat a human is to BE human."

The king thought for a moment.

"Very well. It will be trained to fight when it grows. But what is its name?''

"Squid boy!" A minion cried to the king.

The infant, ignored the pain in her ribs, and rose. She stood above all of them. She took in a deep breath, and said her first word.

"Girl." She collapsed.
