Star Bloods p.o.v.
Star Blood had many more patients. Due to Scar Blood's leadership, the junkyard rogues had been made into a group called the Night Bloods. The Night Bloods were supposed to be tough, fierce, angry cats.
Star Blood always rolled her eyes at this. Everyone's names had been changed to something with blood in it. So they were all recognizable as the Night Bloods.
Star didn't . . . hate it. But she didn't love it either. Healers used to be treated like rulers, but now they were just pushed around like every normal cat.
"Star?" Clear Blood asked over his shoulder in the medicine den. Clear Blood was sorting herbs.
"Yes?" She said.
"Take Half Blood out to get more chervil."
"Ok." Half Blood looked over at her. Half Blood was the newest healer apprentice. Half Blood used to be Half wing.
They walked through the center and past the training grounds. Star Blood listened as Claw Blood attacked Song Blood, a pretty black she cat with purple eyes.
"Nice one, Claw Blood, but remember to lift your right paw, not your left." Song Blood instructed.
"Yes, Song Blood." Claw Blood grunted before trying out the move again.
"Much better."
Claw Blood must have seen her, because he yelled out a hello to her.
"Are you getting more herbs?" He asked.
"Yes. I'm taking Half Blood with me."
"Ah. Have fun!" Claw Blood called out.
"Thanks! See you later."
They reached a patch of chervil a little ways from the ForestClan border. Scar Blood had made every Night Blood cat memorize and study the clans and fighting techniques.
There were four clans. ForestClan, MountainClan, SeaClan, and BrightClan. Currently, Scar Blood suspected that the Snow Cat was in one of the clans. ForestClan's border was right near the edge of the junkyard. MountainClan was past ForestClan. SeaClan was on ForestClan's right, and BrightClan was diagonally across.
"So which one is chervil again?" Half Blood asked.
"It should have light green leaves that are shaped like tear drops. A sweet smell too."
Star Blood picked up the scent immediately, and knew exactly where the chervil was, but she let Half Blood look around a little bit.
Wait... She smelled something. ForestClan. The clan cats were always going on patrols.
"Duck down. We can't be seen here."
Two cats came out of the bushes.
Halfpaw was shaking next to her as they crouched underneath a bush.
The two cats were a little ways away, but they could easily walk over here and smell Star Blood and Half Blood.
"I'm grabbing mint. Stay here." There was a little patch of mint a little ways to the left. Star Blood creeped over, watching the clan cats the entire time.
She rolled around in the mint, trying to disguise her scent. Then she motioned her paw for Half Blood to come over.
The clan cats were starting to head in this direction. Half Blood suddenly got taken over by fear and froze.
"Half Blood!" Star Blood whisper shouted. "Come on!"
But Half Blood didn't move.
Star Blood tried to creep out to him but as she did, an unlucky twig happened to be below her paw.
The crack alerted the two clan cats.
Fox dung!
The clan cats were approaching.
Scar Blood had warned her to never show that she was blind. Weakness was looked upon as bad with the Night Bloods.
Star Blood stood up. She heard the two clan cats yowl something at her, their claws sliding out.
"C'mon, Half Blood! Run!"
