[Trans. Int. Second lair; Night]

Security AI: Escape pods incoming. Congratulations on surviving, fam.

[Penelope was the first to arrive back and emerge out of the pods. A banner and appears above as confetti explode from the air. The other pods arrived and the others are released as well.]

Jeffy: Everyone okay? Anybody hurt?

Joseph: How did we get here?

Penelope: Escape pods. We've never had to use those before. (forces a smile) So, how would everyone rate their escape experience? "Very satisfied", "very, very satisfied", "extremely satisfied"—

Jeffy: Penelope!

Penelope: Sorry. Data collection calms me down.

(Chef Pee Pee regains consciousness.)

Jeffy: Chef Pee Pee!

Janice: This is terrible! Why did we leave?

Joseph: [terrified] In case you didn't notice, we were getting our butts kicked!

[Penelope pulls Joseph off of Janice.]

Janice: But my mission was to stop them. Right now, EFFY is using that Key to bring in something that will destroy the world! We lost.

(Cody's Pod arrives and releases Junior. Casey Jr. got out of the way and he stepped out, his heart racing. He looked at his family, their voices muffled by his ringing head.]

Penelope: Junior?!

Joseph: Dude? Dude, speak to me!

Penelope: Where's my other pod?

Joseph: Where's Cody?

Penelope: I mean, where's Cody?

(Then his eyes focused on Janice, who gasped. With anger in his heart, Junior lunges at Janice, but Jeffy restrains him.

Junior: [furious] Did you know this would happen?! Why didn't you tell me?!

Janice: [scared and confused] What are you talking about?

Joseph: Easy! Junior, what's going on? Where's Cody?

Penelope: Junior, what happened to Cody?

Chef Pee Pee: Junior?

[Junior stops as his friends let him go.]

Junior: D-Dad...

Chef Pee Pee: What happened to Cody?

Junior: (shedding tears) They... they got 'em.

[A hush fell upon the lair.]

Jeffy: You left Cody?

Junior: He left himself. He used his Pod to save me, all because I went after this stupid thing.

(Junior shoves the Key into Janice's chest.)

Janice: [amazed] You got it! Nice.

Junior: "Nice"? How is this nice?! They captured Cody! Why did we have to get it?! To save the "future?!"

[Junior's eyes grew wide, coming to a realization]

Junior: Future. Future! She's from the future! She knew this would happen and didn't tell anybody!

Janice: No. I didn't. This didn't happen in my time. [hopeful and happy] We changed the past, and you got the Key. That means there's still a chance to stop them.

Junior: No, we have to save Cody. Come on.

Penelope: Junior, wait.

Junior: If you won't come, I'll go myself.

(Junior tries to swing his swords, but his Hamato Ninpō doesn't respond to his attempts to activate it. The red striped boy grunted in pain as a blue and red light shuttered around him along with his swords.]

Penelope: We've lost our mystic powers, remember?

Joseph: We don't have a plan.

Junior: We don't need a plan. Remember I'm the "greatest ninja the world's ever seen" His words.

Penelope: Shouldn't we talk about this before we run off all half-cocked, willy-nilly, pell-mell?

Junior: Look, I keep being told I'm doing this hero thing wrong. But I got the Key, didn't I? I get results, so now we're doing it my way.

Chef Pee Pee: Junior, you need to listen to your team. This is not about you.

(He rests a hand on Junior's shoulder. He jerked it away.)

Junior: They made it about me when they took my brother. Trust me, I got this. Penelope, you're driving. Joseph, Janice, come with us. Chef Pee Pee, Jeffy, stay here.

Jeffy: What do we do with this? (holds the key)

Janice: We can't just bring it with us, but we can't just leave it behind.

(Jeffy takes the Key from Janice.)

Jeffy: Then we should destroy it. Chef Pee Pee and I will stay here and take care of business.

[Janice looks at Chef Pee Pee who is bandaging himself and nodded. She starts to join the other before she looked at Jeffy one last time.]

Janice: Thanks, Commander Francois.

Jeffy: "Commander"? I like the sound of that.
