12. APOLOGIES
Abhishek was worried....no he was scared. Millions of questions running on is mind since that night, that fight. it has been a week; the police have lost all hope on finding Sid. he hopes his baby brother is fine wherever he is. 24 hours after Sid's disappearance jai, wo seemed to be the most emotionally stable person there had contacted the police.
They came back with nothing but Abhisek's badly broken bike, a young officer even had the guts to say that Siddharth might have gotten dragged deep inside the forest by some wild animal. But Abhishek knows...hopes that his brother is alive and fine. Vaishnavi wants answers, she cared for Sid but she loves Abhishek. Jai bullied Sid because of Abhi, but it never exceeded to the limit of public humiliation and ragging. it was always teasing and banter and without the watch of Abhishek, sometimes coffee parties in canteen but his priority was always his buddy, Abhi. Reem and Avneet never commented, they always watched from a distance. Reem saw Sid like a brother, and Avneet? there was a hint of something a little more than concern and affection in her eyes...simple love, stage 1. The stage where she herself was confused, the stage where she was not aware what love actually was.
If he had been a little more sensible, a little more approachable... Vaishu could have had a younger brother, her partner in crime in annoying Abhishek, planning gifts for everyone with him. Jai could have had another buddy, another support system, a guidance and someone to take care of his reckless habits. Reem could have had a brother she had always wished for, her comforting unit, someone to help her when she has fights with Jai, Avneet could have had the love of her life, someone to help er through her tough times, someone who could be the perfect guy of her fantasies. And Abhishek could have had the brother...the only family he had left after their mother's death.
He was in the wrong and he knew it.
He would do anything to just apologize and mend things, but even he knows that Sid had been pushed far beyond that line of forgiveness.
He would do anything just to once again see his brother, alive and happy.
But it was too late now....
