Hello and welcome to the rewrite of "Cross My Heart", now known as "The Skies Above Us" (I like to call it "The Skies" in casual conversation).

So basically, this is a message to my past readers of "Cross My Heart", and the reason why I wanted to rewrite the book completely. If you don't already know, I wrote that book freshmen year, and as a senior I'm marking my advancement in literature and writing with this novel. I loved the coming of age novels I read in school, so I wanted to make one fit for all of you guys!

Furthermore! In the topic of character development, Kole's "antagonistic" character from "Cross My Heart" is completely renovated. Any actions he had in "Cross My Heart" are altered and explained due to events that take place before he moves to Port Bergen. As such, I wanted to make each of the side characters unique in their own way, which involves complicated backstories including Landon, Joni, Clara, and Bluebell (YUCK).

Also! In case you're confused in the beginning (previous readers), please note that FYNNIGAN HAS A BROTHER. HIS NAME IS PARKER. AND HE IS A TOP-NOTCH SONUVABIOTCH. Also, they're awkward munchkins because Parker was born in England, so he has a half-British accent that Fynn picked up, so BEWARE OF THE CUTENESS.
