(POV 7 year old Ruby)

I just finished brushing my teeth when my mom entered the bathroom

Summer: come on sweetheart, it's bedtime

Ruby: can you read me a story

Summer: of course sweetheart, just be quick

Ruby: I'm already done

Summer: well then let's go

We both walked into my room as I got into bed and my mom was looking at books until she got confused on one

Summer: huh what's this, The Tale of Slender Man.....I don't remember buying this

Ruby: oh it's new, can you read it mommy please *shows puppy eyes*

Summer: *breathes out* fine

Ruby: *stops puppy eyes* yay

I lied down in bed as my mother sat on the chair next to me

Summer: ok ruby, this is the tale of Slender Man

I got a good look of the cover and it was sort of scary

Summer: *clears throat* Many years ago there was once a man named The Slender Man, he was an evil man who had captured and murdered children, when the kids were found they were.....okay we are not reading that, I'll be right back dear

Mom then got up and left my room

Ruby: wait what happened to the children when found and did it say murdered....what's that

Mom had just walked back in with a different book

Summer: okay sweetheart, we had to change the book since the other one is for older people

Ruby: wait what happened when the kids were found

Summer: oh well umm....they, were fine

Ruby: oh okay

Mom then read me a different book as I fell asleep

(Location Change Dream Slender Forest)

I opened my eyes to see I was in some dark and scary forest, I stood up and looked around

Ruby: where am I

I started to walk around when I heard the noise of a twig snapping, I turned around and saw a tall white man in a tuxedo

Ruby: hello, do you know where I am

The man jut kept looking at me I think, he didn't have a face, I then start to feel woozy as the man appeared in front of me, I then heard a voice

Man: do not fear me child, I'm not what they say I am

Ruby: *whoozy* who....who are you

Slender Man: I am The Slender Man

I then fell to the ground and my eyes started to get heavy until I closed my eyes

(Location Change Ruby's home)

I woke up and looked around to see I'm in my room, I sat up and looked at the clock and saw it was 3 am, I then heard a noise coming from downstairs, I got up and opened my door and listened

????: ahh son of a bitch,

???? 2: what dude

????: I walked into a wall

???? 2: you fucking dumbass, we have night vision

????: I know I just wasn't paying attention, why are we here anyway

???? 2: I very hungry and Slender didn't give me any money for food

????: you eat kidneys

???? 2: yeah but I eat other things too

????: what ever hurry up

I quietly left my room and walked to my parents room, I opened the door and went to my dads side

Ruby: daddy, daddy wake up

Tai: *groans* what is it ruby

Ruby: there is two men in our house

Tai: pardon

Ruby: I heard two men downstairs

Dad then sat up and looked at me

Tai: are you sure

Ruby: *nods*

Tai: okay, I'll go wake up uncle Qrow and we will go downstairs, you stay here with your mother

Dad then got up and left his room and went to uncles Qrows room, I climbed in bed with mommy and waited, after a few minutes dad came back in the room

Tai: there was no one down there, but the fridge door was open

Ruby: so someone was down there

Tai: well the doors and windows were all locked and nothing was broken so, I don't know, I'll look at it in the morning

Ruby: can I sleep in here for the night

Tai: yes you can

Dad then got back into bed as I snuggled up next to him and fell back asleep

(TimeSkip Morning)

I was woken up by my mother

Summer: morning sweetheart, breakfast is ready

I got up and followed my mom downstairs, we walked into the kitchen where everyone but dad is at the table and eating, I sat down and mom handed me a plate of pancakes

Ruby: thanks mom

Summer: you're welcome sweetie

I started to eat my breakfast when dad had walked back into the house

Summer: find anything

Tai: no nothing, no foot steps, all the windows aren't broken and the only thing missing was chocolate

Summer: I'm seriously wondering if anyone was actually in the house

Yang: I heard the voices as well last night, I just thought it was my imagination

Tai: well until we find something, we will just leave it as unknown

Qrow: well taking away from the convo about random men in the house, we got anything planned today or can I just drink

Raven: quit being a drunk for one day

Qrow: bite me

Raven: I'll slash you instead

Summer: enough both of you and Qrow yes we are doing something today, we are going to the park today

Yang/Ruby: yay the park

Qrow: damn it

Summer: now girls, once you're done go brush your teeth and change ok

Ruby/Yang: okay

We both ate our breakfast, brushed our teeth and got dressed, once we were dressed we went downstairs and both waited for everyone else

(TimeSkip 1 hour)

We arrived at the park as Yang and I each ran into the park with Zwei chasing us, Yang and I had stopped as Zwei stopped in front of us

Yang: alright boy, roll over

Zwei did as told

Yang: good boy *shows tennis ball*, now fetch *throws ball*

Zwei had run across the park and got the ball, he then came back and dropped the ball near our feet

Ruby: good boy *pets Zwei*, sis can I throw it

Yang: sure sis go for it

I grabbed the ball and reeled my arm back and threw the ball really far, so far that it went into the trees, Zwei looked confused

Ruby: oh darn the threw it to far

Yang: damn rubes, you threw it into the forest, well done, but I think we should get that back

Ruby: I'll get it

I ran over to the trees and started looking for the ball, after a few minutes I found the ball

Ruby: there you ar-

I was interrupted when a black sack was placed over my head and my mouth was covered by a hand, I tried screaming but it was muffled

Man: shhh, little girl, it's no use trying to struggle

I then felt a little sleepy until I had passed out

(POV Change Yang)

I was sitting on the floor with Zwei waiting for Ruby to come back

Yang: she's taking a bit to long, maybe we should go help look

Zwei: *barks*

We both sprinted over to where ruby last was

Yang: sis do you find the ball

I got no answer

Yang: sis this isn't funny, where are you

I then felt my foot kick something, I looked down and there was the tennis ball

Yang: SIS I FOUND THE BALL, YOU CAN COME BACK NOW

There was still no response

Yang: RUBY.....Oh no

I ran back to the table where our parents were

Yang: mom, dad something bad might have happened

Tai: woah easy there sport, what's wrong

Yang: it's ruby, she went to look for the tennis ball she threw and now I can't find her

Tai: okay this is bad, let's go look for her now

They all got up and we started to walk back to where we were

Tai: RUBY SWEETHEART THIS ISNT FUNNY, COME BACK NOW PLEASE

Like before there was no answer

Summer: RUBY DEAR, PLEASE RESPOND

It was just plain silent until Zwei barked

Yang: what is it boy

I walked over to him and there was......Ruby's left shoe

Yang: *grabs shoe* oh no....MOM, DAD, AUNT SUMMER, UNCLE QROW

They each came running over and I showed them the shoe and I saw summer start to tear up

Summer: *tearing up* no that can't be....maybe she just lost her shoe, RUBY PLEASE ANSWER US, YOU ARENT IN TROUBLE

When there was no answer summer knelt down to the floor crying as Uncle Qrow had hugged her to comfort her

Qrow: it's okay, we will find her, we will get Ozpina to help us ok, Raven can you call her

Raven: you got it

Mom then pulled out her phone and called someone as I looked deeper into the forest

Yang: ruby....I'm sorry, I should have come with you

(POV Change Ruby)

I woke up to see I'm in some run down room, the bed was uncomfortable and when I tried to move my hands and feet, they were tied with rope, I got scared and kept moving around, I then heard footsteps approach the door, the door opened to reveal a old fat man, he walked in with a smile

Old man: well, it seems you've woken up

Ruby: *scared* please, let me go

Old man: oh now why would I do that, I just wanna have some fun

Ruby: *less scared* what type of fun

Old man: some adult fun

The man then came over and rubbed my leg very weirdly, I tried to kick him away but it was useless

Old man: oh there's no point in trying child, you won't be able to move

The man then started to move his and upwards and got to my waist where he was about to go under my shirt but was stopped by the sound of something hitting the wall outside

Old man: son of a bitch, who ever it is, is getting killed

The man then grabbed duct tape and place it over my mouth

Old man: now you stay quiet child, I'll be back in only a moment

The man had walked out of the room and closed the door, please someone help

(POV Change James)

I had appeared outside of the abandoned house Slender told me about, apparently a creepy old man was here with a girl, he doesn't know but he wants me to save them, so I will because if Slender is mad, I don't wanna be the man he's mad at, I grabbed a rock and threw it at the house and waited for the man, I looked to the tree to the right of me to see Damien there in his Demon form as we call it I looked to my left to see Clancy in his Demon from known as The Rake or as we call it Rake, a few minutes passed when the door opened and the man stepped out, I'm also in my Demon form

Old Man: well what do we have here

Eyeless James: just a man wondering the forest, but what are you doing is the question

Old Man: me well, I'm just minding my own business, which is what you should be doing

Eyeless James: ah, ah, ah, I'd suggest watching your tongue around me old man

Old Man: oh really and what are you gonna do to me

Eyeless James: well, I'll take your kidneys and feast upon them and my other friend will eat the rest of you

Old Man: oh really, well it looks like your all alone out here *pulls out Revolver*

Eyeless James: oh really, well that my good sir is what we call Stealth, now then Rake, get him

The man looked confused until Rake jumped from the tree and landed on the man and started clawing at him as the man was screaming, Rake was ripping him to shreads

The man had stopped screaming and moving as Rake hopped of him and came back to me with two kidneys

Eyeless James: thank you *takes kidneys and puts them into bag*, now let's go get the girl

(POV Change Ruby)

I had just heard the Old man screaming in pain but it soon stopped, the then hear the sounds of footsteps approaching the door only to stop in front of it, it was quiet for a few seconds until the door opened as two men came in, one was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a blue mask with black paint I think around the eyes and the other guy was wearing a white hoodie, blue jeans and had his mouth cut into a smile, his skin was pale white

Blue: well looks like we found the girl

White: yes it would seem, quickly in tie her now

The man with the blue mask had pulled out a knife and cut the ropes off and teared the tape off

Blue: there we go, much better, how you feeling kid

Ruby: you, I remember both of you

White: what

Ruby: your voices, you're the men from last night

Blue: wait that was your house

Ruby: yeah, you took some chocolate

Blue: yeah sorry that was my fault, I got really hungry and didn't have any food

Ruby: that's fine, but at least ask

White: *confused* what

Blue: well kid what's your name

Ruby: I'm Ruby, what's yours

James: oh I'm James and this is Damien

Damien: Hey

Ruby: hello

James: so kid, can you tell us how you got here

Ruby: well I was with my family in a park and I was playing catch with my sister and our dog Zwei, but when I Uren the ball a bit too far I went to collect it and was taken by the man who was here before....what happened to him

James: oh well he.....he's gone and won't be coming back, now let's get you to our boss

Ruby: wait what about my family

James: we will get you back there but our boss wants to make sure you're okay

Ruby: ok

James had then picked me up and held me and we walked out of the room, just before we walked out of the house he covered my eyes with his hand

Ruby: *scared* what's happening

James: easy kid, I just don't want you to see a very bad mess outside

Ruby: okay

We had walked outside I think but I couldn't see anything, he kept walking for a bit before moving his hand away from my eyes, I saw it was night time

James: and there we go now don't look back ok, Rake get down from the tree

I was confused before a weird creature dropped in front of us, the creature was just skin and had human feet but it's fingers were just sharp claws, it's eyes were pure white and it had blood coming out of its mouth

James: wipe your mouth dude

The creature wiped its mouth and looked at me

James: oh right, Rake this is Ruby, Ruby this is Rake, don't worry he won't harm you

Rake then waved at me as I waved back

James: now ruby, I'm gonna pass you to Rake and I want you to hold onto him the whole time ok, he will give you a piggy back ride to our place ok

Ruby: ok

He then placed me on Rakes back and all three of them lined up

James: ready guys

Damien: Yep

Rake: *grunts*

James: 3.....2.....1.....go

They each took of at very fast speeds, I held on tightly to Rake not letting go, they were running and climbing up trees, jumping from tree to tree

(TimeSkip 30 minutes)

As they each slowed down I looked a head and saw a mansion

Ruby: woah it's so pretty

Damien: you think so

Ruby: yeah it looks amazing

Damien: wait until you see the inside, also I won that

James: what, no you didn't I did

Damien: uh no you didn't

Rake: *grunts*

Damien: no, you definitely didn't win

Rake: *growls*

Damien: ay don't be growling at me

Soon they started to argue but soon got scared

James: *scared* y-yes sir

Ruby: who are you talking to

Damien: *scared* our boss, he can communicate to us through Telepathy

Ruby: what's that

Voice: it means I can talk to you through your head

I looked around and didn't see anyone else

Ruby: that voice, it's familiar

James: *scared* l-let's get inside before the boss kills us and revives us

Damien: yeah, let's go

We then started to walked to the mansion as Rake put me down, when we got to the door James opened it and let us in

Ruby: thank you

James: you're welcome

I looked inside and it was beautiful

Ruby: woah that's so cool

Damien: thanks made it myself

James: don't start that, we all helped

Ruby: it's still cool

Rake: *grunts*

Damien: yeah true we need to get you to Slender Man

They started walking but soon saw I was standing still

Damien: you alright kid

Ruby: did you say Slender Man

Damien: that's right, he's our boss, I'm surprised you know of him

Ruby: he was in my dream last night, he said to not to fear him and that he's not what they say

James: sounds like him, well let's get you too him

We started walking until we reached a door, Damien had knocked and a voice came through

Voice: Enter

Damien opened the door and I saw the office

The chair spun around and there he was, Slender Man, he was a tall pale man in a tuxedo, just like last night

Slender Man: hello child

Ruby: it's you, the man from my dreams

Slender Man: yes that's right I was in your dream

Ruby: but why mine

Slender Man: I'll answer that but first, guys please leave us for a bit, Damien and James could you make dinner and Clancy get out of the Demon form

Rake then stood up on his hind legs as his hands started to go normal, his skin went from pale white to a light tan and his eyes changed from white to brown and he grew hair which was black and his mouth went from a giant one to a regular one

Clancy: yes sir, anyway kid names Clancy, good to meet you

With that the three of them had left us as I looked back at Slender

Slender Man: please have a seat

I walked to the desk and sat on the seat in front of him

Slender Man: now tell me child, how did you end up in the Slender Forest

Ruby: the what

Slender Man: The Slender Forest is my home, I don't like bad people coming in here, matter of fact I don't really enjoy anyone here but I make exceptions for the innocent and children

Ruby: what happens to the bad people that do come her

Slender Man: that is a secret

Ruby: okay

Slender Man: now could you tell me your name

Ruby: I'm Ruby Rose

Slender Man: ok and could you tell me where you live

Ruby: I live on Patch

Slender Man: oh wow

Ruby: what

Slender Man: Patch is about 4 hours away

Ruby: what.....how far out did he take me

Slender Man: to far, listen we can take you first thing in the morning or we can go now

Ruby: ummm, morning please

Slender Man: alright, well we have a bunch of spare rooms for you

Ruby: thank you

Slender Man: no problem, now follow me and I'll take you to the dinning area so you can have some dinner

He got up and stood next to me and reached his hand out

Slender Man: come child, I will not harm you

I stood up and took his hand

We both walked out of the room and walked down the hallway

Ruby: wait you didn't answer my question

Slender Man: oh right your dreams, well I chose yours since you are were the closest child near the forest

Ruby: oh okay

We both kept walking until we reached the dining room

Ruby: looks pretty

Slender Man: thank you

He took me to a seat that was closest to the end

Slender Man: wait here child, I'll go check up on dinner

He then left the room as I sat at the table, I looked at the walls and saw paintings of Slender Man with the others, after a few minutes Slender had walked in holding trays of food with tentacles that were coming out of his back, he placed the trays down and sat at the end of the table

Ruby: woah that looks amazing

Slender Man: you can thank James and Damien

Ruby: what about Clancy

Slender Man: he was busy with a project

Ruby: what project

Slender Man: he says to keep it a secret

Ruby: aww

Slender Man: hehehe you are one curious child aren't you

Ruby: my mom says that why I'm special

Slender Man: indeed you are

The others had all walked in and sat at the table, soon Slender Man had used his tentacles to serve up everyone's dinner, I took a bite out of the chicken and it was really juicy and had a lot of flavour, I swallowed the food in my ouch and looked at James and Damien

Ruby: this is really good, where did you learn this

James: we learnt it from Slender himself, he has the power to pass on knowledge to others, if he learns it eh can basically give it to us in no time

Ruby: woah that's so cool

Damien: and you know what's even better

Ruby: what

Damien: dessert

Ruby: you have dessert

Damien: you can have some only if you finish what's on your plate

Clancy: house rules

Ruby: what's for dessert

Damien: there's strawberry cheesecake, cookies and cream ice cream and cookies

Ruby: *gasp* cookies

(TimeSkip 1 hour)

I was laying the guest room Mr Slender had let me use, Clancy had walked in

Clancy: alright kid, get some rest, we're gonna take you home first thing in the morning

He went to leave but I stopped him

Ruby: wait

Clancy: what's up kid

Ruby: could you....read me a story

Clancy: well all we have is horror stories but I can hum you a lullaby

Ruby: okay

I lied down as Clancy tucked me to bed, he sat on the chair next to me and started humming

I was down the street holding Mr Slender Mans hand as I saw police outside of my house talking to my mom on the front lawn

Slender Man: Ruby, I want you to know that we will always watch over you, in your dreams and in person

Ruby: thank you

Slender Man: now go, unite with your family

I hugged Mr Slender Man and ran towards my home

Ruby: MOMMY

Mommy looked towards me and I saw the tears in her eyes

Summer: RUBY

She ran towards me until we both met in a big hug

Summer: oh my sweet little girl, I thought I lost you, what happened

Ruby: a man had taken me into the forest and wanted to do bad things but was stopped by some men

Summer: who were these men

Ruby: they said to keep their names a secret for now

Summer: I'm just glad you're okay

We both kept hugging until I saw yang, aunt raven, uncle Qrow and dad walk out, when they saw me yang ran over and joined the hug, I looked back back and saw Slender Man gone

Ruby: *in head* thank you Slender

(TimeSkip Night time)

I was in my bed as mom tucked me in

Summer: would you like me to read you a story

Ruby: no thank you, I'll try and sleep with out one

Summer: okay, goodnight sweetheart

She walked out of my room and turned off the light and closed my door, as I was trying to sleep I heard the tune Clancy hummed to me last night, I smiled and fell asleep
