She was rushed to the medical wing, her husband holding her tightly to his chest. Vader wasn't far behind the two of them.

She was put on gurney and the two were ushered out of the room. Kylo could see the beautiful maroon dress being torn in half for the nurse to check her heartbeat.

It had been over 24 hours and he hadn't heard a thing from the doctors, all he wanted was her to be okay.

Finally after a while a doctor came to him "how is she ?"

"We're not sure, we took her heart beat"

"And ?" Kylo asked frantically.

"She's awake and she's alive ... that's all we can say sir"

"Can I see her ?" Kylo asked

"Yes" the doctor said and opened the door for him .

Kylo leaned down by Rey's side and kissed her cheek "sweetheart ? How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay..." she mumbled "Kylo what happened at the ball?" She asked.

"We are not sure yet... but they are investigating it as we speak and whoever did this will pay Rey" he promised as he rubbed her hand softly, his leather glove on the bedside table so he could feel her with his bare hands.

"Kylo I want to go to our quarters" she sobbed "they ...they monitor my every move.. please" she begged.

"I'll ask the doctor when you can be released" he said and stroked her hair curly brown hair , twirling a strand around his large index finger.

"Can't you use the force ?" She asked.

"No... your health is more important than you coming home... but you're alive and that's all that's important sweetheart" he said softly.

"What do you think it was ?" She asked.

"Rey you -"

"The curse ? The Skywalker Curse?" She asked.

"Rey let's not -" he started.

"The curse that killed Padmè Amidala the wife of Darth Vader ? The same curse that killed Leia Skywalker Solo ? That killed her husband Han Solo the pilot and spy ? The curse that killed the Sith apprentice Luke Skywalker your uncle ... Leia's twin brother ? The curse that is going to kill me?" She asked , tears on rolling down her cheek

"The curse is nothing"

"This curse has taken four lives and it's gonna take me next..." she sobbed "it's gonna take me because I love you ... I love you too much at that's what this curse does ! It takes whatever the Skywalker who is a Sith loves ! Anakin loved Padmè so this curse took her !"

"You love me ?" Kylo asked.

"And Han loved Leia so much it took him... and Luke loved his father too much that it took him and Leia loved you too much so it took her!"

"Rey please !" He said trying to coax her to calm herself down.

"I'm gonna die because the Force and the curse know I love you.. I'm gonna die soon and we won't see it coming ... I'm going to die and leave you"

"You will not die in the curse... you are so much stronger than that love" he squeezed her hand . "Your grandfather loved my grandfather like a son... like a brother with all his heart and you grandfather is over 90 years old.. the Kenobi's will survive this curse because you can't leave me" he said and tears were in his eyes "because I love you  and you love me ... you promised you wouldn't die in the curse and I will not let you break this promise" he said and Rey pulled his collar to kiss him.
