Okay so I've been seeing people making backstories for their blobs, and they're all great, I just kept having to tell you guys that there's a problem where the backstory clashes with the timeline of the canon story and I kept feeling like I was being intruding or controlling and I felt bad T>T

So to prevent that from happening, I'm gonna set some concrete story points so that doesn't happen again! I really wanted to save these and reveal them during the story at first, but now I feel like it's kinda counterproductive given that you guys are part of the story lol.

1. The Flowers

So first off, the blobs actually are born from special flowers that start to grow around where they're living after a certain amount of time. A bloom grows like a normal flower at first, but once it reaches the actual flower stage a blob starts growing in the bloom. These flowers can rarely have multiple blooms at one time (going up to 10), which is the same as being a twin, triplet, etc. I call these 'bloom cycles'. After a bloom cycle (aka after the blob is born), the flower quickly withers away which gives nutrients to the soil in case a little sibling bloom comes after it (explained later). Otherwise, the entire plant will wither away soon after, making room for an entirely new plant.

The blobs can still have biological parents or siblings, although the parents one is kind of uncommon. For siblings, blobs can either have a sibling or more than one either by being part of the same bloom cycle and being like a twin/triplet/whatever, or having a little sibling bloom after it. That's when a flower sprouts up after a flower had already withered from the same plant. If a blob wants a sibling but their plant had already withered away, they could take a very small bit of their own blood and add it to a special blank seed that grows where a pollen stem thing would normally be. The blank seed could be taken from any random plant, and it would have no effect on the little sibling. After planting the seed, a plant would grow as normal, including it possibly having more cycles. That means that a blob could accidentally get more siblings than they asked for lol.

If a blob wants to have its own biological baby blob (which is a rare occurrence), they could take a blank seed as well, but instead of just adding their blood they add that and a special tiny crystal that also grows around the blobs. The plant that grows from that seed will be guaranteed to only have one cycle, then it withers.

2. Powers

Since some people are a bit confused about this, I'm going to outright say that powers are not a thing yet. This is just to make sure that there's no accidental timeline anomaly with your blob backstories lol.

Buuuuut you're not gonna have to wait long, since you guys are really excited for them I'm confirming to you that powers will 100% happen after next chapter :>
